This was my second time visiting Tacos Taco, and I have to say--it's quickly becoming a favorite spot of mine. The first time I came, I tried the Birria Tacos, and they were incredible. The meat was so tender and flavorful, and dipping them in the consommé made every bite even better. They were so good that I left wanting more! So, of course, I had to come back. This time, I went for the Carne Asada Street Tacos, and they did not disappoint. The steak was juicy, well-seasoned, and paired perfectly with the fresh toppings. Every bite had that perfect balance of flavors that makes a taco truly great. The service was friendly, and the food was fresh, but I did have to wait a little longer than expected. That's the only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five. But honestly, the food was well worth the wait. I know I'll be back again soon. If you love authentic, flavorful tacos, Tacos Taco is definitely worth a visit! read more

Really good and enormous tacos! The loaded fries are big enough to be a meal for two people! The lady at the counter was so sweet as we placed my husband's picky order and she brought us all sorts of things in the side. The place is fresh and new feeling, very clean. The TV with America's Funniest Home Videos was a bit weird, but I loved the paintings of Mexican icons. Like Frida Kahlo, Vincente Fernandez and Selina. Sodas are bottled, no ice. I have always thought about giving this place a try, but I tend to head more toward Gainesville for real Mexican food. I hate Tex Mex restaurants with hard shells and everything drowning in sauce. Quick spot to get tasteful and great tacos. It's tucked away in a shopping center behind Kroger but it's worth it. All Items are made to order. The menu is ale carte unless I missed the combos; the average price was $2.99 a taco but they are full in size and tasteful. The ambience is quiet since it's hidden. I didn't get to read the entire menu since it was a quick stop but there seems to be lots of selections. read more

The service is not that great but the food is great. No one in the restaurant speaks good English so if you want anything other than how it is made, you are going to have a problem. Don't order from this place. I placed an order for 2 birria tacos, 1 cow tongue taco, 1 shrimp taco and chips at guacamole. I called this order in at 8:10pm. When I got there and got my tacos I trusted they put everything in my bag, to my surprise, they didn't. I was missing the sauce for the tacos and the meat on all tacos were really dry. At this point it was after 9pm and they were closed. I called the next day and the manager told me the owner would replace my order. Wow! Popped in to check it out and SO glad we did. Authentic Mexican food. We ordered steak tacos, a steak asada burrito and Mexican Cokes. Steak was seasoned perfectly with diced onion and cilantro on corn taco so fresh. Burrito has substantial and flavorful with beans, rice, diced onion, jalepeno, lettuce, tomato and steak. Went back next day for more. You know its good when you keep thinking about the meal the next day. Clean and friendly business. Highly recommended! The food was fresh, and made to order, but it's just not a place I enjoyed. So why a four? Well, because they do a lot of things well, but the overall flavor wasn't my style. Not a bad restaurant, just not my personal preference. The salsa was watery, and chunky. The beans were average, the Barbacoa was the best item on the plate, but all of the sauces were too spicy to fully enjoy it. I didn't like that the only water option was bottled, with everything being so spicy - it felt like a money grab. But again - spicy to me, might be perfect for you. My husband said the steak torta was one of the best he eaten, and the chorizo taco was large with perfectly cooked ingredients. That's why I decided on a 4 - the ingredients were fresh; the service was good. And based on how busy they were with pick up orders, I truly feel like it's a place worth checking out. Delicious authentic Mexican food. This is the place I've been looking for. I had all of the below and they were all outstanding: Steak Tacos Al Pastor Tacos & Beef Nachos I don't have pictures of my food because it was to delicious to pause and snap. The tacos come standard with Cilantro, Onion and Radish. I've never had radish on my tacos, but it was a surprisingly good addition. Also, if you order cheese on anything please note, it's Fresco cheese or Mexican crumbling cheese. the texture of it is kind of like feta or ricotta. Not the usual stuff you'd get. But you can ask for mozzarella if you prefer that. The Fresco cheese that came on it was good though. Highly recommend. read more
