Great flavor for the tacos. Staff were friendly and food was made quickly. I'd definitely stop again.

This food truck in Stevenson is a little gem. I had a couple of their Pastor tacos and a Carnitas taco while my wife went for the veggie tacos. I liked the pastor better because I thought the carnitas was a bit overcooked (it had good flavor but was dry). The veggie tacos were given a thumbs up from my wife. The red hot sauce has a kick, so go easy if you're heat sensitive. The green was cooler, but I liked the flavor of the red better. The service was friendly and quick. We took our tacos to a little park just a couple blocks south and ate with a wonderful view of the Columbia and lots of sailboarders. I'll go back again next time I'm passing through Stevenson! read more

Great little taco truck off the main road in Stevenson. I was just passing thru and was looking for a McDonald's to get a quick cheap breakfast sandwich and am glad I pulled in here instead. Just got a couple of Street Tacos for $3 each ($4 for lengua). The Pastor Tacos weren't my favorite but the lengua was excellent, and the portion of meat was very generous, with just the Classic cilantro & onion toppings. read more

Carne asada was good, but the pulled beef was not. I recommend you go with the carne asada as it is a lot more flavorful.

Stopped for a quick bite on my way through town and the quality of our tacos was a welcome surprise! I've tried all the taco trucks in the Gorge and I have to say the asada tacos were my favorite here! A bonus was all the smiling faces inside, so dang friendly!! I'll totally be back. read more

We enjoyed the tongue as well as beef tacos, but especially the tongue tacos. My kids loved those and tell me that they are the best tacos ever! I liked my chicken burrito which came with rice and a small salad. My husband loved the tongue tacos as well and also got a churro. Everything was reasonably priced and we enjoyed sitting outside with the beautiful mountains in the background. The food was even better than our local Taqueria in Atlanta, and the price cannot be beat! We came back the next night and tried the chicken enchiladas which were tasty! My husband states that he would come back to Washington just for the delicious food. My daughter liked her beef burrito and my son enjoyed the steak tacos. read more

Food is ok. I had three tamales; my wife had the fish tacos. Both tasted like they were previously frozen, from a box and warmed up. Service was ok. The guy serving us could have been a little friendlier. It's a food truck at a gas station, so it's a nice easy location to grab something quick. read more

I've tried tacos Pepe twice and both times I have been disappointed. The first time I ordered fish tacos. The fish tasted like it was from the frozen section on the store. It was heavy breaded and the fish quality was poor. The second attempt was at the fair grounds, I ordered veggie nachos. It was as if they were from the lunch line of a cafeteria, the cheese was fake and for some reason the hot sauce was the hottest salsa you'll eat in your life and deal with later in the night. The prices are higher than both the Mexican places in town. If you can't make it to either of those I'd say drive to hood river or to Portland to have some GOOD Mexican food. read more

I had to try a couple of tacos since they had some great reviews. The food cart sits next to a chevron and Bigfoot Coffee roasters. I ordered Carne Asada and Adobada (marinated pork) street tacos. The Carne was awesome! As for the Adobada, I really wanted Al pastor but they do not have that so this was very close to that choice. I personally thought it had flavor but it was alright but definitely good or great to others. If I had to do it again I would have bought 4 Carne Asade but the wife said time to go. Boo hoo. This deserves the 5 stars that others have given and I hope your experience will be as good as mine. read more

Tacos Pepe is a Magic Vortex of Amazing Food and People!! My partner and I stopped here on the way back from hiking in the gorge yesterday and were blown away by how good the food was. We were equally filled by the hospitality of the owner and her great kids. Did I mention this is a family run business? Stopped on our way through the Gorge and found this little gem. Amazing Mexican food from a small food truck. Close to if not THE best chicken tacos I've ever had in my life, and my girlfriend agreed. Right next to Bigfoot Coffee which provides a space to sit and eat where you can look out at a wonderful view of the other side of the Gorge. We had chicken tacos, a beef taco, and the chicken enchiladas with both green and red hot sauce, and it was all more than worth every penny. The drinks we had included jamaica and horchata and I must say they were also close to the best I've ever had (not over sweetened). BE SURE TO COME HERE! Don't miss it! read more

We were very hungry after a long hike and this really hit the spot! The service was great! We got our food fast and it was delicious! We tried tacos, torta(huge), quesadilla, burrito and tamale. All were excellent! The ingredients were fresh and I much prefer just avocado to guacamole which was a nice change. The best Mexican food I have tasted in a while. I had the chance to eat a quesadilla with their seasoned pork: A great combination. Juicy, and full of flavor. The horchata was natural. Made with real rice and cinnamon, with sugar in the right proportions. I got to taste the enchiladas as well from my other family member, great enchiladas as well. With a touch of Michoacán's cuisine, a guarantee stop next time we are in the area. Highly recommended without reservation. In all of the times we've visited Tacos Pepe has never disappointed with delicious, authentic food and friendly service. Some of our favorites are the Tacos, Tamales and Tortas, as well as the excellent Horchata. Last month we had Tacos Pepe cater our wedding. Just as we had expected they were responsive to our needs and did a great job. By all accounts the food was enjoyed by all of our guests. We found this place by chance after a hike in the gorge. It was probably the best food I have ever had, especially out of a food truck. My girlfriend and I split four fish tacos and four quesabirria tacos. They were both amazing with the perfect amount of toppings and spice. We live over an hour away but I will definitely be making the drive back to try the rest of the menu. read more

This was a must needed staple in my day. As I was withering away in the early spring heat after running around all day, what better to revive my spirits but a delicious chicken quesadilla or fish taco (yes I went back after the first time, the revival wasn't complete!).
