This is a food truck that is parked off Alum Rock and White. They are in a small plaza so there is parking. The food looks just as is when you order for sit down or take it to go. I have only tried their quesabirria special and it keeps me coming back. You get these gooey cheesy tacos and all these toppings, plus consommé, which is super tasty, and a free drink for all of $10. Went for the queso birria tacos and wasn't disappointed! There was a bit of a line but went fast! The had a couple of tables, most were open. So excited when I found this spot because they're from Michoacán which is where our families are from and they have handmade tortillas. The owners were very friendly, great customer service. The handmade tortilla taco is more than a regular street taco, but it's worth it. We were each given an extra tortilla not sure if that's normal or they gave us an extra one just because. The 2 things they need are a spicy salsa and grilled onions/chiles. They have 3 different ones, one being guacamole and 2 salsas. They weren't spicy. Honestly it's about a 4.5 - and only because they don't have any refried beans as a side. For me the side dishes really accentuate the food, but if you're looking for tacos, this is one of the best! The quesabirrias are scrumptious they're the perfect size, cheesy and the meat is tasty! The consomé is perfection. We would always drive by this truck but didn't think twice to stop until hubs ordered it one night... and boooy, it's the spot! This place is amazing for so many reasons. The food is phenomenal, the owners are incredibly hardworking and kind, and the price point is almost unbelievable. We were going through a really hard time as a family and my husband, kids, and I didnt have access to a full kitchen/cooking situation for three months. We were desperately trying to find a way out and we were in a financial situation, this food truck was down the street from our home. We ate there 2-3x a week, its delicious, affordable, and literally brought us comfort in our time of need. These are truly kind people running this truck, they clearly love what they do and it shows in the quality of the food. They're parked right across the street from James Lick High School and have tables and chairs available to eat there. I was quite surprised to see a mobile taco truck pulled onto the parking lot where I bought some croissants at a Colombian bakery shop. Had to check it out and they had a great deal a quesabirra combo comprised of three quesabirra tacos with all the fillings meat, cheese, onions and comes with two kinds of sauce and a free drink of your choice all for $10 that's a saving in itself and I can see why is so popular judging by its rave reveiws.
