Marjorie covered the diverse neighborhood with so much knowledge about it's history as well as current interesting facts. We learned about the murals and graffiti with respect to the business owner and neighborhood perspectives and we explored a few of the shops in the business district. Marjorie arranged for the tour to enjoy beverages and food samplings from several establishments, one of which was Pinot Wine Bar. Danny, the owner and local resident, owned early for our group and gave an impromptu wine class while we sipped wine paired with cheese & meat samplings. A very knowledgeable and generous business owner! I completely enjoyed spending my Saturday morning walking and talking and learning about this special neighborhood. There is no better way to get to know an area than to walk through and see all the special sights. Thank you Marjorie for your enthusiasm!

The reason for writing this review is twofold. First, I want to share my experience with everyone…read morewho may be considering Toast Tours. Second and most importantly, I wanted to thank Toast Tours for a wonderful and memorable experience, from beginning to end. My Wife and I were making our first visit to the Central Coast, and decided that visiting some local wineries would be a nice way to get more acquainted with the area. I liked some of the reviews I had seen on Yelp regarding Toast Tours, as well as watching a a few quick YouTube vids before contacting them. From the very start, Kristina was a huge help. Thank you again. I conveyed some of what were looking to do on this trip, as well as our past experiences in Napa and Sonoma. Kristina did a masterful job of giving us options. Some more mainstream and like we have experienced before, as well as some smaller, boutique style options. Every question, she had an answer and suggestion for, and when we decided to book, I was confident in our choices. Toast Tours also takes care of the reservations, so that's one less thing to worry about as well. We chose to visit three wineries; Tablas, DAOU, and Ciento. All three were an amazing experience (I'll write more about those individually on their pages). I do want to highlight Ciento, however. This was a direct recommendation from Kristina, and they really stole the show. We would have never known or visited this wonderful winery if it wasn't for Kristina and Toast Tours. Our driver, Jimmy, was on time and extremely courteous. He has a wealth of wine knowledge, as well as local area knowledge, and he shared them in a fun and engaging way. He was a great help at each of the wineries, getting us in and out with our reservations, while also assising with our purchases. Thanks again, Jimmy!. The vehicle was clean and comfortable, and they provide water and some small snacks, if needed. Another thing I want to mention that was very nice as well is the price. While these types tours can be a bit pricey at times, I feel their rates are more than reasonable. Kristina itemizes everything beforehand, so there are no surprises. If you decide to make some small changes to the itinerary, Toast Tours will work with you, and give you the cost differential. Exceptional service from top to bottom, and I would gladly and confidently book with Toast Tours again..

Our driver Jeff was knowledgeable of the area and winery we went to. He chose Sculptera for us since we both preferred white wines over red (they have a seperate tasting just for whites) and this was the perfect selection. Jeff gave us a brief overview of the property and sculptures. This was a great chance to get familiar with the winery. One could spend a couple of hrs there. They had live music, a food truck, and picture boards covering the interesting history of the area. We returned to the Bianchi winery where we enjoyed another tasting of wine along with the scenery. They had seating outdoors which overlooked a coi pond with a small waterfall and fountain. Jeff took some great pictures of us along the way. We had a great time and highly recommend it.

The owner and staff were super welcoming and walked us through all their offerings, which made the experience even better. We kicked things off with a cider flight--our favorites were Early Harvest and Graveyard. Early Harvest was simple, crisp, and just sweet enough, while Graveyard reminded me of a Scottish smoky cider aged in whiskey barrels. I do wish there were a few more sweet options overall and possibly a current up to date list of what's on tap somewhere online, but everything was well-crafted and flavorful! To cool off, we grabbed a cider slushy (highly recommend!) and wandered the property. We visited the goats, strolled through the apple trees, and made friends with their big fluffy Pyrenees who was living his best life napping in the shade. I picked up a bottle of Early Harvest and a t-shirt to bring back to DFW. It was the perfect stop--relaxed, local, and a great way to start the afternoon before heading into Yosemite. After our tasting, we walked through some of the apple trees, visited the cutest goats, and made friends with their big, lazy Pyrenees dog who was living his best life soaking up attention. I picked up a bottle of Early Harvest and a t-shirt to bring back to DFW--both worth it! Such a charming little spot--relaxed, scenic, and just the right detour before Yosemite!
