First, they don't post prices next to their menu items on their board. That should be a red flag. One burrito preferred. Total, after tax: $19.75. WTFreak!?!???? Burrito barely had any meat. Like, barely. Barely had any cilantro. Like, barely. Barely had any sour cream. Like, barely. What it did have a lot of was beans and rice. So, as you can imagine, it was soooo dry. They gave me two red sauces, both just half full. And if you think this was just a good salsa taquera, you're wrong. It was filled with other stuff (onion chunks, etc. Seems like it was simply some old salsa, but it also had almost no flavor. So maybe it was fine that these two little to-go ramekins didn't last past the first four bites. Completely dissapointed, especially after having their good catered meal.

Don't get me wrong, I think the two burritos I got at two different times were both good…read more But I'm also a huge fan of "value add" and, for me, one of the best parts of taco trucks is the taco truck sauce. When I was in SoCal last year, it was common to sit and eat your stuff there outside the truck and grab a bottle of the sauce and put some on every bite. It's part of the experience. Here? They put some sauce inside but not NEARLY enough. So want any other sauce? They give you two very small to-go ramekins and then charge what I think is quite a bit for it. But it also wasn't clear that that was the case until after I asked if I could get a few little to-go sauces. Just showed up on the receipt. So, my burrito with two little sauces was $22 with nothing else added. Nothing. There's an old saying about stepping over dollar bills to pick up dimes. I think even $20 for one burrito is kind of a lot. But I'd be willing to do it occasionally because it was pretty good. Instead, to save a few pennies, I probably won't be back. That's just a fact.
