Off Silver Creek Rd near Capitol in OSH parking lot
    Victor L.

I went to the Silver Creek Rd location next to OSH. This is my 2nd time and I am pleasantly surprised at how much meat they gave me. Here's the quick rundown: + Heavy meat to tortilla ratio which can be too much but with all you can eat toppings it is a winner (5 stars) + AYCE toppings include pico de gallo, grilled peppers, grilled onions and the usual onions and cilantro (5 stars) + $3 per taco is a steal (5 stars) + Tortillas are not dipped in lard which health conscious folks may prefer, but not me (3 stars) - Asada doesn't have the char flavors of cooking over a charcoal fire as other taco establishments (2 stars) You're seated outdoor but they actually have covered seating with napkins on each table. I was a little disappointed on the asada so I gotta try other meats. Since the Tesla supercharger is nearby and this place opens late I will definitely return.

This is the current location of the taco truck

Do not eat here or you will regret it. The service at this place was terrible. I ordered a alambre (a type of Mexican dish) and it was delivered burnt and missing several of the ingredients listed on the menu. When I arrived, I placed my order and asked about the ingredients; initially, everything seemed fine. My wife ordered a burrito without some of the ingredients, and the person who took the order--a Colombian woman, not very friendly and clearly distracted by the cook and her cell phone--served us without paying much attention. I don't care about her privacy, but I do care about the lack of professionalism. There were about seven people ahead of me, so I waited about 25 minutes. Three more people arrived, and although the place seemed busy, both the cook and the cashier were joking around instead of focusing on their work. Everyone ahead of me was served, then number 8, then number 9... and before I knew it, they had also served number 10. The cashier looked annoyed and asked if I had received my food yet; I replied no. The cook served other orders before mine, and I ended up being last. The cashier, a little nervous, just kept repeating, "It'll be ready in a minute." After another five minutes, I went to get my vegetables and salsas, but there were no lemons, cucumbers, salsas, or beans. The entire ingredients area was dirty. I asked the woman to refill it, and she did, but mentioned they were out of cucumbers. If I'm paying full price, I expect to receive full service. In the end, I left annoyed and with a bad experience, thinking, "Well, I'll eat my alambre and my wife will have her burrito." Imagine my surprise when my alambre was burnt and completely golden brown. I think the cook gave me whatever was left on the griddle, or he forgot about my burrito. The meat was all mushy, and the cheese was cold and not even melted. I'm so angry because you expect good service when you pay a lot, and these people are either chatting up or distracted. I think it goes without saying that this will be the last time I eat there. Anyway, check out the pictures. Thank you for your response. I understand that sometimes businesses may deal with difficult employees, but customer comments exist so owners can identify what needs improvement. If customers don't share their experiences, you could lose business without ever knowing why. Regardless of the reasons behind the bad service, the responsibility is still on the business to make sure customers receive good food and good customer service -- especially because we are paying for it. I'm not looking for sad stories or excuses. I simply hope you take this feedback to improve your business so it can succeed. I also added a picture of the location because it shows up on Google but not on Yelp -- I wonder why? lol

Actual plastic in my tacos... very disappointing to see a plastic in my tacos. Won't go back unfortunately.

My go to late night local taco truck. They're typically set up on silver creek road in across the street from the target in the parking lot of Outdoor Supply Hardware or sprouts. They have outdoor seating and a self service grilled veggie bar (onions, jalapeños, peppers) as well as all the sauces, limes and radishes. I got the carne asada tacos with each taco being 3 dollars I believe. The meat was a tad overcooked for my liking sometimes, but for 3 dollars a pop and the unlimited veggies, I keep coming back :) It's nice sitting outside on a cool or warm night and eating some reasonably priced tacos!

I know food trucks are typically not very hygienic, but I found a piece of glass in my burrito. I initially thought it was bone when I was chewing it.

    Where is my consome?

This place is completely negligent when it comes to restaurant service! I specifically ordered extra crema on my tacos, and the Birria tacos on DoorDash clearly state they come with a cup of consomé. They forgot both! I ordered through DoorDash for convenience, and now I can't even call the restaurant to complain. I asked my Dasher, and he said he double-checked with them to ensure everything was included, and they confirmed it was. Now I have to go through the hassle of reporting this to DoorDash just to get my money back. Absolutely unacceptable and a complete waste of time!

Ordered through door dash. These birria tacos were some of the best I've had! Not overly greasy, especially the consommé.. the consommé was BOMB.COM, I coulda drank it. The meat wasn't all fatty either like some other places I've tried. Super tender and flavorful inside of perfectly crisp tacos. Their red salsa is delicious too. I'll be ordering again real soon (:

Not the best and not the worst. I'm from SoCal and hands down the best tacos are home. This taco truck is owned by two ladies and they were somewhat friendly they just stared a lot at my group of friends which was fine...I guess just made it a little uncomfortable. There's not a lot of seating outside.

Best birria for the best price in San Jose. Only thing is it says they open the one on capital at 5:00 and they don't even arrive on capital till 5:45 to set up the truck and start cooking especially because I pre ordered for pick up through DoorDash it let me place the order and now I'm sitting in the parking lot if this wasn't the best birria I can find near me I'd be super annoyed

Lengua, Cabeza and Al Pastor tacos. Carne Asada torta!
    David K.

Ordered through Doordash but the food was packaged well, followed all directions. Their green sauce is good! The tacos were all pretty tasty but what takes the cake is their torta! Wow, the bread was so soft and the taste of all ingredients were amazing!

I stumbled upon this place one day while doing my random walk, so you KNOW I had to give this place a try. I had went in upon opening time, so my wait was a little bit, but I was not complaining because you know what they say: "Greatness comes when you build them up one by one." I got their hamburger with the extra cheese, and curly fries. The patty was extra juicy, and the brioche buns were toasted really well. I especially like how they added on the cheese after the patty was marinated on the grill for quite a while, but not too long to the point all of the juice was sucked up. The only down side to the food: the prices. Be prepared to spend quite a bit on lunch if you decide to go to this place, because they do end up charging quite a bit more than what the regular places around Downtown would. But the IPA beers make up for it, so it's also worth a bang for your buck. Hospitality was pretty top-notch -- my order was taken in an orderly fashion, and they even apologized for the wait as well. I hope Scratch Cookery stays around for a long while so that people can try out such majestic wonders this establishment has to offer! Ambiance was great, and I'd definitely be back again!

I kept hearing about their hot chicken sandwiches for years, and we finally made the trek to check them out. The Good: * Friendly service * Prices aren't too bad considering the portion size and flavor. * Outdoor dog-friendly seating * Craft brews in cans * Seven levels of heat for everyone from the spice-averse to the hardcore fire lover. * Chicken sandwiches are massive and delicious. And despite it being a breast, they kept it very juicy. * Really loved their fries; I'm not sure if they make them in-house or if they're frozen, but regardless, they're fantastic. The Meh: * Not much in the way of drinks except for the aforementioned beers and cans of soda. The Ugly: * It's located in DTSJ, so you'll most likely have to pay for parking. If you don't mind walking a few blocks, the 4th St Garage is free for the first 90 min. Conclusion: Great spot to get your spice on.

What I…read morelove about it is that you don't have to chase down local food trucks by checking out their Twitter or Facebook updates to know where they'll be parked. And on top of that you get to experience a whole bunch of awesome Bay Area food trucks all in one spot. Moveable Feast on Friday nights in Willow Glen is a great foodie date night for sure. The bf and I have been here twice now (first time was still during my jaw surgery recovery phase where I was unable to chew, so it wasn't as exciting for me then). This last time we went we noticed that the most popular trucks were Sam's Chowdermobile, Grilled Cheese Bandits and Hill Country BBQ. The lines for those 3 were endless. But we did get to try come mashed tater balls and a delicious italian style grilled cheese sammich from Grilled Cheese Bandits about an hour before Moveable Feast was closing. And the bf got the very last link dog over at Hill Country BBQ, which he said was better than the Miso Dog he had over at Oh Miso Hungry truck. Let me list out what we had at the few trucks we chose to order from. Oh Miso Hungry Kimchi grilled cheese was actually not as good as it sounds. The kimchi was definitely delicious but it didn't taste right being super warm in between those pieces of Texas toast. And the Miso Dog the bf had, he liked but didn't love. MoGo BBQ Kalbi and bulgogi tacos. I liked the meat, tasted good. Not a fan of the corn tortillas they used. Barefoot Coffee The bf ordered a small coffee on drip to swing over to Treatbot Ice Cream since the guy over there told us the ice cream tastes bomb with that coffee. I had a sip of that coffee, holy shizz it was strong! Treatbot We had a scoop of horchata and a scoop of chocolate ice cream to go into the coffee. This is the second time I've had their horchata ice cream and I'm a HUGE fan for sure. Hill Country BBQ They ran out of most of their food about an hour before closing time. I liked the sauces they had out and pretty curious about the Porkolicious sauce. Looked interested! Next time, I'll be sure to try some of that pulled pork that was oh-so-popular. Grilled Cheese Bandit We ordered the small order of mashed tater balls which were okay but a bit too salty for us. Their Giuliano sandwich sure was bomb though! It came with mozzarella, parmesan and tomatoes with pesto on this amazingly soft Italian batard bread. Hands down, best thing I ate that night. I'm still very curious about what Sam's Chowdermobile has to offer but that damn line never let up! It was also extremely chilly that night, what the F happened to summer weather San Jose? But yeah, next time we'll definitely have to just stick it out and stand in line for some chowder. I would rate Moveable Feast 5 stars if they included better dessert trucks than just Fairycakes (cupcakes, which I'm not a fan of) and ice cream and candy. I want some PIES or something a bit more dense for dessert peeps!
