And it was perfectly prepared. Heck, I even finished the broth. Very clean tasting. The lengua was a bit over cooked and a bit dry, but I won't count this against them. This is a tricky neat to cook. Service was impeccable. Listen, service is key number one to the success of restaurants. And they mastered this. The location is a typical small Mexican / Taco stand. Clean and tidy. I ordered a super a nachos with Chicken..... I was shocked to see ho very little it was. It was not appealing at all. The chicken was cut super big and was super bland. Check out the picture.... To say I was completely disappointed at the bacon breakfast burrito is an understatement. It started with unwrapping it to grease all Over the wrap. There was only one flavor...greasy pork flavor. This place was packed just before their 7pm closing time on a Friday. I didn't even realize they were closing at 7pm until the lady behind the cash register cleaned off a table that had just left and put the chair on the table. We had arrived around 6:30 so we were lucky. I'm assuming because they open for breakfast that that is the reason why they close so early. The employees we encountered here were very friendly and attentive. The man who brought us drinks and our salsas was so nice. As far as the food. I ordered 3 Al Pastor tacos, and one Carne Asada. I've certainly had much better tacos, and honestly the green salsa was lacking a little bit of flavor. The red salsa was good, but normally I prefer a green sauce. I was disappointed there. Overall, I'd give my food and dining experience a 3.5/5. I rounded up to a 4 for this, and I think because of the service I'd come back here again. read more

I have pro and cons on this place. It's a small place but clean. The bathroom was clean. If it was the owners or workers here , they were so nice and friendly. I liked that they had beer to sale as well. The food was good. My only thing I didn't like is how a small lingua burrito half filled with rice and beans cost 12.99 ?? Now this place is in California and all the other places I paid this much , the burritos were huge. This burrito was maybe 6 inches long. I'll add a picture. Small nondescript place across from Shields date restaurant on Hwy 111. Relatively small menu but delicious food at a great price. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Food came quickly. Stopped for a quick bite when visiting for Coachella. Coming from SF to Palm Springs, I'm not sure about how good more ethic food is. The yelp reviews were good so we decided to try it out. Food was 4/5. We ordered the enchilada plate, a burrito and tacos. I would order each again. The seating area is small, so not good for groups with more than 4 people. Tacos Gonzalez has been my go-to taco spot while I've been working in Indio. I eat here a minimum of once a week. Their meats are very flavorful and tender. The burritos are huge and satisfying. Their prices are super affordable for the quality and taste they provide. The staff is very friendly and bi-lingual. Even though it looks like a to-go shop, they actually have a few tables with chips and salsa served before your food. This is the best taco shop in the valley! I've tried almost all the meats and they are all good. They make sure to get a good crisp on their tripa as well. They have excellent costumer service and everyone I've ever experienced has been very friendly. But my favorite part of all has to be their BACON Burrito! It's very basic but it's the best one in all of SoCal IMO simply because it has the perfect ratio of egg, bacon, and cheese! They are one of the only shops I frequent that I do not have to ask for extra bacon. TG makes it perfect every time. Sooo much bacon! I love them so much! If you're not into breakfast. WARNING: BLATANT DISCRIMINATION TOWARDS ASIAN AMERICANS AND DISABLED PERSONS. We were on our way back from a road trip and got hungry in Indio. This place had the most reviews so we decided to try it out. We have a service animal, who without a question would assist us with entering the establishment. Upon entering the restaurant, the head cashier (she may be the owner) did NOT greet us, but instead the first words out of her mouth was "NO DOGS ALLOWED" and pointed at our service animal (clearly wearing a red working vest). We informed her the dog is our SERVICE ANIMAL and NOT a pet. She then became quiet and took our order. After we paid, we sat down at our table and noticed that the same woman was whispering to other colleagues who then turned around to look at us. We then received our order, and asked a nice server for guacamole. The server then dropped off the guacamole, and a few minutes later the same lady stopped by our table to drop off a receipt and said "you need to pay for this, guacamole is $2.71 extra." We mentioned that we weren't informed that guacamole is extra (not a big deal at all). She grabbed the menu and pointed to the side of guacamole and chuckled as she said "everything is extra." As if we're stupid. At this point, we both felt extremely uncomfortable and just wanted to finish our meal and get out of there. The issue was the tone of her voice. She was extremely pleasant and cordial to EVERY other customer in Spanish, yet coldly stared at us. As we were about to pay for the guacamole and leave, we learned that the nice waiter who served us is this woman's son. We expressed our concerns to him, which he apologized. It was all three tacos. Think about how much you normally eat, like three tacos, and then double or triple your order. The flavors were decent, but the portion size for the money will make you sad like getting a side salad when you thought you were going to get a dinner-sized cob.
