Super clean restaurant, great vibe (very relaxed but well decorated), everyone was genuinely kind and the food was fantastic. LOOOOOVED the salsa... not too spicy AT all just nice and flavorful. So I said, fine, I'll take the steak, too. Y'all - it was the worst meat I've ever put in my mouth! I got maybe half a bite that I could actually chew up all the way, & didn't have to spit it back out. They were probably out of ground beef because the beef broke the grinder!

Everything came out quickly, and our incredible waitress made us feel genuinely taken care of!!! (I wish I would have understood and asked her to repeat her name because she is a true blessing!!!) The food and drinks were just as impressive. We ordered the carne asada along with an enchilada and taco combo plate, plus a piña colada. The carne asada was cooked perfectly and paired with charro beans that were packed with flavor. The chicken enchilada was delicious, and the beef crunchy taco added the perfect texture to the plate. The chips and salsa were some of the best we've ever had super fresh with great flavor!! And while the piña colada had coconut on the rim (not my personal favorite), the drink itself was incredible. We loved the atmosphere, bright lights, fun decor and had super fun photo wall in the entrance we loved! Overall, such a great experience. We will definitely be stopping back in anytime we're in the area!

Today I visited for taco Tuesday it was empty and that's unusual but the state of the cleanliness was just next level. Every table and I mean every table was filthy, not with outdoor dust but with dried food, the server came with salsa and chips and his tray was just as bad not to mention his apron had not seen a washing machine or iron in decades. So sad that we had to leave it was a good vibe but who ever took it over isn't keeping their cleanliness up or the vibe and atmosphere! To bad it's gone to shits it had a great Margarita.

The $16 portion on the carne a la Mexicana was smaller than average and it was very bland with some of the worst quality beef I've had in a while. I asked for it spicy at the time of the order, and was provided a small bit of spicy salsa. I guess I should have been more specific and asked for peppers in the dish. The watery salsa had no spice and very little flavor. Beans were good, rice was okay. For the price, I expected more. Definitely not a compelling dinner. Review amended due to snarky reply from the business. I didn't expect a "copy and paste of my favorite place", but I would have loved to have enjoyed a good meal. Unfortunately, that wasn't on the menu at this establishment. There are at least half of a dozen better Mexican restaurants in Sherman that will serve you a significantly better plate of food, with decidedly better quality beef for similar(or less) cost.
