This is a food truck, slightly off the main strip of downtown but so worth a short drive over. They have a cute patio area set up as well as a tiny marr with various snacks, essentials, and some groceries/spices. The couple that runs the truck is super nice and they churn out amazing food. We tried 3 different pupusas (chicharron, calabaza/zanahoria, and loroco), the bistec encebollado, platano especial, horchata, and jamaica. Everything was sooooo good and honestly, super affordable. The pupusas had such nice stringy cheese and good filling to masa ratio. The chicharron was my favorite but all tasted fresh and the curtido to go with it added that nice fresh crunch and tang with the sauce. The bistec was super well flavored and tender and the beans and rice were also great. I usually like beans more than the rice but honestly, the rice won out. It tasted amazing on its own as well as combined with everything. The platano were fried perfectly with some caramelized crispy sugars on the edges and a smooth creamy texture. I believe their horchata uses toasted rice which gave it such a unique flavor that I found extremely enjoyable. Honestly, I was not expecting to find anything like this while making a trip to Arkansas but honestly just reminds me amazing food is everywhere and sometimes you just gotta take a leap of faith. Pupuseria El Pulgarcito was a definite winner and I'd highly recommend this to anyone making a trip out here!
