The mole was just with a good spice but not tasteful. The salsa verde was super sour. I'm Mexican and I know when the food doesn't taste authentic. Idk what happened within the restaurant but something had changed. The service was okay. The ambiance was quiet and nice. Hopefully whenever we come back it's worth it.

They had x3 different types of salsa at varying spice levels which were fun to try. The menu itself was plentiful, ranging from your standard tacos to fajitas, carne asada, seafood dishes, and more. The sizzling fajitas came out promptly and were delicious, complimented by rice beans, avocado, lettuce, and tortillas along with onions, green peppers, and tomatoes on the plate itself. For around $15, this place can't be beat. I also tried their horchata which was also tasty. Pro tip: cash is preferred at this venue, and there is a small Hispanic grocery store inside as well. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone in Hot Springs looking for a Mexican food fix!

The mixed papusas were amazing! A bit a savoriness with the fluffy bread. The cheese one was interesting but more bland since it didn't have the same savoriness and we're still not quite sure what loroco is but it does taste similar to a mild broccoli. The tamalito tasted like a sweet cornbread which was fun to try but too sweet for us overall. Service: 4/5 - language difficulty where we had issues with ordering Pupusa Queso y Loroco and they charged for Pupusa Loca. The pricing was all over the place as we were initially quoted $20 then $9 for removing a $5 Pupusa Loca. If you told me there'd be amazing Salvadorian food essentially in a national park, I'd be puzzled…read morebut here we are, amazing Salvadorian food inside Hot Springs National Park. This is a food truck, slightly off the main strip of downtown but so worth a short drive over. They have a cute patio area set up as well as a tiny marr with various snacks, essentials, and some groceries/spices. The couple that runs the truck is super nice and they churn out amazing food. We tried 3 different pupusas (chicharron, calabaza/zanahoria, and loroco), the bistec encebollado, platano especial, horchata, and jamaica. Everything was sooooo good and honestly, super affordable. The pupusas had such nice stringy cheese and good filling to masa ratio. The chicharron was my favorite but all tasted fresh and the curtido to go with it added that nice fresh crunch and tang with the sauce. The bistec was super well flavored and tender and the beans and rice were also great. I usually like beans more than the rice but honestly, the rice won out. It tasted amazing on its own as well as combined with everything. The platano were fried perfectly with some caramelized crispy sugars on the edges and a smooth creamy texture. I believe their horchata uses toasted rice which gave it such a unique flavor that I found extremely enjoyable. Honestly, I was not expecting to find anything like this while making a trip to Arkansas but honestly just reminds me amazing food is everywhere and sometimes you just gotta take a leap of faith. Pupuseria El Pulgarcito was a definite winner and I'd highly recommend this to anyone making a trip out here!

This is flavor town yall. Dishes even come with a chile brine to dip in. The meat is supple, flavorful and deeeeelicious. They soak the shells in the brine before putting them on the griddle so they have a saturated color and flavor that I am all about. Guac is fresh and super solid. White queso is redonk with house made chips and schmered on everything. My buddy is a taco truck enthusiast who basically thinks he struck gold by finding this place, visiting it every week since he found it. I'll probs get three meals out of this and it is VERY reasonably priced! Incredible. Gracias!! SUPPORT LOCAL FOOD
