My daughters and I went to BubbaLu's on 7.21.2025 mostly because it was the nearest place for a restroom for my oldest... She'd probably kill me if she was on Yelp, but she's not and this is funny now... We were in the middle of shopping at a nearby boutique when she ran up to me with this super ultra mean mad pre-teen attitude because she needed to go to the restroom really bad. Of course the boutique did not have a public restroom then she got frantic and pissy so I hollered at her sister "Hey, we gotta go. We'll come back." We rush into BubbaLu's where a very friendly cashier welcomes us. My pain in the rear oldest heads straight to the lone restroom which was luckily available. I felt like I finally took a breath in that moment. Lol. My other daughter and I hop in line which was to the door. I snap a photo of menu. Text it to the restroom kid and ask if she's okay and to choose something for lunch. After receiving a ton of thank you-like emojis from her I get an answer and we finally get to order. It was high stress - because I really felt bad for my kiddo - but it was funny and lucky all at once. This was unexpectedly a cool place with family photos and other memorabilia on the walls. We sat at the counter in front of the meal prep station and grills. + Super Classy Dog $6.50 (my oldest said it hit the spot) + Chicken Salad Melt $6.50 (This was my choosing and I absolutely loved it.) + Kid Cheeseburger $7.00 (my youngest ate all of hers and I tried some of her fries, which were really good... frozen variety, but still good!) As we walked in a patron made a point of stopping before he walked out to tell the staff that they served him the best burger he'd had in a LONG time! Good intro! Initially we hesitated to go in cuz we had our dog with us but the hostess made a point of reaching out to us to tell us they are dog friendly! Awesome! They even gave us a container filled with water for the dog. We ordered two classy dogs (no pun!). The hot dogs are big and beefy and cooked perfectly. Mine had sauerkraut which is homemade and very mild. All ingredients added to the dog were lightly grilled. The French fries come unsalted...they are plenty flavorful on their own....but salt is at the counter/table as are ketchup and mustard. The fries were thin and perfectly crispy! I stopped in because I seen $5 hot dogs written on the window and I just needed to feed my two little ones a quick snack before we went out to eat with family. They had State Farm corn dogs for $4. I ordered two and a small fry. The owner asked how we were doing then handed me two cups to get my kids lemonade Or whatever we wanted and told me I could fill up my Stanley with whatever also. First of all, the pricing was great. Huge portions for the price. The fries were large and more than enough for the two of us. Everything came out hot. It was clean in the restaurant and right on Bathhouse Row (across the street) making it a very convenient option. The prices here were pretty reasonable. You order at the bar when you walk in and they give you a number for your table. The place was hopping but the line moved fast. We found a seat at the window for the two of us but would have struggled if there were more of us. I got a chicken salad sandwich and my daughter has a grilled cheese with fries. The chicken salad was a generous portion. The chicken salad was a little dry but made up for it with the extra mayo on the bread. I thought the pickles on it were kind of odd, but they added a little saltiness. My daughter said the grilled cheese was fine. I tried the fries after eating my sandwich. They were just okay. We stopped here for lunch after hiking and I LOVED this place. It is counter service so you order then take your seat. It is a very no fuss diner but I found the service and quick food to be awesome. The service staff were LOVELY! They were very friendly and attentive. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and joking with the staff. Our food arrived fast and was very tasty. I got the cheese fries which were delicious. The veggie burger is a standard black bean burger. Coke float with blue bell ice cream was delicious! My husband and I stopped into BubbaLu's for a late lunch after a long hike in Hot Springs. We stumbled upon this restaurant while walking down Bath House Row and noticed it was packed! We thought it must be good, so let's give it a try! While standing in line, I noticed there was not a single empty seat that we would be able to sit and eat and the line was getting longer and longer. The line was outside the door and on the sidewalk at one point. We finally get to order and as we are waiting for our food, we are eyeing the seating situation. Two people at the bar decide to leave and another two people immediately swoop into the empty chairs. We realized we may have to be a little pushy if we want to sit and eat. I noticed a family getting ready to leave so I basically stand right behind them and wait for them to leave. We finally sit down and are still waiting for our food. The family next to us who ordered after us gets their food first. At this point I'm a little frustrated. It's crowded, loud, cramped, and the service is slow. I just want to eat and leave. We get our food and eat it faster than how long it took to get to us. The food is delicious and the prices are cheap and right. i'm still sitting here as a patron and i had to stop eating to write about this fantastic place. the food is wonderful, reasonably priced and fresh. but the most shocking part of this restaurant is the workers. they are absolutely swamped here at the moment and i see everyone working with a smile on their face, being patient with the crowd and still checking in on everyone. i think we've been checked on 3 times since sitting down!! i watched one of the cooks stop (during a slow moment) and hand out free ice cream to the kiddos. it's just a heartwarming place and experience!!! i'd suggest this place to absolutely anyone. i loved my experience here!!! thank yall for being awesome. :) read more

I was in Hot Springs, AR and on this trip we decided to grab a burger and fries. Well my two teenagers decided for us. Texas is lousy with good burger joints and this family owned restaurant on the bathhouse row in Hot Springs is a treasure. I was fortunate enough to order the onion rings. My double meat bacon burger was almost too much because I was not going to leave an onion ring on my tray. I was a good little boy and cleaned my plate. The grill is in the open front and center. Mom and pop were working the counter when we were there just before Thanksgiving. I missed the HS annual Chili cook off but didn't miss out on a really great burger. read more
