They were not "the worst tacos ever" as some have stated. They were not "the best ever" either. The rice was WAY over salted! I tend to over salt my food, as my loved ones have told me. So, without adding any salt to the rice, and me commenting on the saltiness, it speaks volumes! I felt the chicken was very bland. I used it to tone down the saltiness of the rice. Renee was on the Dent Elementary campus providing lunch for Teacher Appreciation week, but unfortunately the Special Education teachers were told they were not a part of it. She was extremely rude and disrespectful. I was completely speechless when I witnessed Renee yank a plate of tacos away from a teacher, causing them to fall on the floor. Saying that they could no longer have any since they didn't help fundraise. The special education class is a separate program, but always included in the schools functions. It was an experience I have never encountered on a school campus, Renee was cursing and yelling around young students. And, the food was delicious with generous portions. This is a follow up to my previous review, and bravo on a year and a half later response. First and foremost, I had many guests that told me you were also rude to them and they asked for plates of food and you declined to serve them. You never explained that you had other arrangements that evening, and if I would have been aware of that you could have cancelled the contract with me to focus on your other engagements and I would have completely understood. I also had my cousin ask about your business name and was told that you just choose the name of your business because you liked it, not that you had any ties to that name. And like I stated previously, it is no secret I have issues with time management. I did see you arrive at 4:30 pm as I was leaving to go home and get ready, but how can things be discussed in advance when the caterer does not make it aware that they have other engagements for the evening ? When I originally reached out to you, I did my research on Yelp and the majority of the reviews were positive. I tried to disregard the negative reviews, but I can see during that time frame, it does seem the same issues were prevalent with many of your customers. It seems you have an issue with constructive criticism and to counteract that with my review as well as others, you decided to lash out and attack someone else's flaws and try to defer the real issue at hand and which is clearly your negative attitude. Maybe instead of pouring all your energy into writing paragraphs of how you witnessed these events take place, you should just try to focus on being better. Lashing out at reviews just shows your lack of professionalism and who you really are as a person. read more

The food was delicious and everyone raved about not only how good the food was but about how amazing Renee and her family staff were to work with. The food truly is top notch and great for groups! I was a little worried about the tacos not being done quick enough to keep up with our demand but Renee was always ready and the line went very quickly. She was extremely generous with our vendors as well and made sure that they had plates of food ready to go. Renee was super flexible with some additional menu items we needed for appetizers, the elote cups were a huge hit and made for the perfect hand held appetizer for our guests. My husband is a huge Mexican food buff (sometimes hard to please :)) and he raved about the food but his most favorite was the cabbage salsa and of course the elote cups. If i could give no stars I would. The cost was $12.00 per person, that was with the extra charge for quesadillas.On top of that charge they included an additional fee for a gratuity (additional $189). she arrived with no pop up for shade, she said i cant cook in the sun,that nobody told her to bring one. We had to scramble to track one down. The sides on the table,were 1 bowl cheese,grilled onion/cilantro,hot salsa( no mild). The food was horrible beans tasted like out of can in water rice tasted like it was out of a box and the 3 choices of meat especially the beef( looked like hamburger) super salty. When our guests asked for quesadilla with meat they were told "no meat is expensive " and he was told he would have to wait even though he was next in line. We ran out of cheese on table,I asked her boys for more, they said they were running out. I said we need some Reluctantly they pulled out a bag a d filled our bowl Renee sat in her truck for last 30 minutes or so and had her 2 boys contine with serving. They were cleaning up 15 minutes before our time was up. Overall all our guests complained about the service and the food. We will definitely do more research in future. read more
