Just had Blodgett Catering for a ( Covid restriction) backyard luncheon. The food was top notch, arriving in sealed individual lunchboxes. Each was complete with a Chicken Croissant sandwich, mixed fresh fruit, delicious broccoli salad and a brownie. Even eating utensils were included in the sealed box. It worked out perfectly. Everyone raved about how delicious the lunch was. They were efficient and on time. All lunches were well refrigerated and as beautifully prepared as they were yummy. Blodgett catered our April 1012 wedding, and they were so nice to work with! Merri was my primary contact. I met with her at our venue and we drafted a menu for the wedding. I wanted a pasta bar with different types of pastas, sauces, and meats. We also had rolls, two types of salads, and drinks. I got Married 12/31/16 my husband and I had tasted Blodgett caterings food at a couple local wedding shows. We decided to have them cater our wedding after meeting with Merri. We chose to have flank steak, chicken, red potatoes and salad. To say the food was good or great is an understatement! The food was amazing, everyone loved it !! She is the nicest person. Things ran so smooth, she was there to answer questions at any time before the wedding. People went back for seconds, and I knew that the food had to be outstanding! L and M Blodgett Catering is amazing! I have worked with them for many years, as my family used to rent out our property for weddings and the Blodgetts did the catering for quite a few of them. They also did the food for my own wedding and it was soooo good! They are very accommodating, as well. My grandma hand made a bunch of little appetizers, and Merri found nice serving platters to put them on and made sure they got put out, even though she didn't know ahead of time. And Louie is an expert at the grill! Their meat is to die for. You could not ask for better service, better food or better people to cater your event! All occasion caterer, simple to elegant. We had a car club event with 65 people coming scheduled for Ironhouse Winery in Murphys on Sunday. Due the on going PG&E power shut offs I received a phone call on Friday morning telling me they had to cancel as there would be no power at their site. The Blodgett's had been recommended by one of our members. I gave them a call and explained our situation and our needs. Merri said they could do our event (Lucky us !!!). They showed up on time and set out a great spread. The food was awesome. we kept it simple with delicious smoked tri-tip and chicken, red potatoes, green beans, fresh green salad and rolls. We run raft and catered BBQ trips all summer on the Stanislaus River and Blodgett Catering has being doing our catering on the river for 12 years. There food is great and we have many return customers in part because of their food and service. I appreciate their flexibility and menu choices, although our customers love their tri-tip, chicken, salads and dessert the most. read more

There is no other caterer I would ever recommend more than L&M Blodgett Catering!! They were incredible at my wedding!! Not only did they work the menu to be EXACTLY what I wanted, but the food was delicious! We have gotten so many compliments and thank you's from our guests for having some of the best wedding food they have ever had, and when that's coming from our Portuguese, Swedish, Irish and Armenian families, you know the food was amazing. And we owe it all to the Blodgetts!! And when it comes to weddings, not only do they make fantastic food, but they gave us the best customer service we could have ever imagined!! I used to work in catering, and I knew exactly what kind of service I was looking for when booking vendors for my wedding. Every person I had talked to had recommended the Blodgetts, and I see why after the wedding:) They took so much stress of the shoulders of my family that I could never thank them enough. All of the servers were kind and dressed professionally, making sure every table had fresh ice water and each guest had gotten their fill of food. Not a single person went home with a hungry belly. They had set aside plates of appetizers for us, and saved some of the extra food for our first few days of marriage. They bused all the tables and put all of the dishes in the racks for our venue. They even took the trash for us, basically taking care of all the cleanup we would have had to do the morning after. Instead, I was able to relax and just enjoy being married:) I can't wait to use them again for another family event in April!! read more

This company did an event for our church, for 300 women. They did chicken, potatoes and salad. Not only was it not dry or overcooked but it was warm as was the staff, they were so accommodating. They made sure everyone had what they needed and were seamless in their set up, service and tear down. I would be thrilled to have them do one of my personal events! read more

We had our son's high school graduation catered by them.i can say that I will never forget how good their food was and they worked with us on a great reasonable and affordable price. I believe we ordered enough food for 30 people and they brought us enough food to probably feed 50 people! They brought it all an set it all up and I believe Merri was her name who came that I talked to and she was so nice and pleasant...but most importantly the ribs and garlic red potatoes were the best and everyone was so happy!! This company was referred to me from family, as they are this family member's old friends. I first contacted them, they told me they had my wedding date open and they were willing to meet with me. Merri e-mailed me the day we were supposed to meet up to talk about the menu and she told me that she booked my date earlier that morning. A few weeks later, she e-mailed me to tell me that the date is now available again, because the couple rescheduled their wedding. I thought that was totally unprofessional. I sat on the catering aspect of my wedding for awhile, before I finally decided to give them another try. I met with Merri, she was a very pleasant person and planning the menu for my wedding went well. I submitted my deposit to her in person and told her to e-mail me the receipt. She never e-mailed me the receipt, so I had to remind her of it and it wasn't even a real receipt. She just replied to my e-mail saying "Paid Deposit of $___.__ for this entree and sides on this date" Lol Again, unprofessional. Our menu consisted of a salad, entree, 2 sides and bread and fruit salad are included. The price was very fair. I ordered salad plates, dinner plates, and silverware for the caterers from a different company, because the caterers do not provide it, which was fine. I requested servers for my wedding because I did not want "buffet style" and I said that when we planned the menu. Well, here comes my wedding and they set up at a table in the spare room at the venue. Well, they set up a freakin buffet style table, so my guests had to line up and make their own plates. Please tell me what the point of requesting servers was?! I specifically did not want this. There was a reason I ordered a salad plate and a dinner plate, because I wanted it to be "formal". The salad plates were not even used, because my guests just loaded everything up on the dinner plates, which was also a complete waste of money. The upside, I guess, was that everyone loved the food. This is the only reason I am giving them 3 stars instead of 1. This company didn't use a contract, but I suggest you draft your own so that they stay true to their word. read more

I used Blodgett's catering in May 2010 for my daughters wedding. They are the most professional, friendly and amazing caterer's. Mary was very easy to work with. They are very reasonable in there pricing and the price I was giving was the price at the end. Their service far exceeded my expectations. I never had to worry about anything and as a mother of the bride that is one of the last things you want to worry about on your babies special day. They went above and beyond during my daughter special day. Mary told me don't worry about anything we will take care of everything from clearing the tables to cutting and serving my guests cake to serving champagne for the toast. The food was amazing our friends and family raved over the food choices my daughter and son in law made for their special day. There was so much food and people were able to go back to the Buffett and get as much as they wished. And we still took food home and we had 150 guests. The Blodgett's were referred to us by several of my son in laws friends who were recently married and I am so glad they did. I would highly recommend them for any event large or small. Amazing food and a great price. We got such a deal with them and their food was delicious! I had several guests talk to me after saying how good everything was :) On our menu we had the tri tip, chicken, red roasted potatoes, ceasar salad, fruit salad, broccoli salad, and pasta salad. We had been to numerous weddings done by Blodgett catering and always love the food. This was the only caterer my daughternwantednfor her wedding. We were not disappointed. The food was perfect! The service excellent. The leftovers packed nicely and left in fridge. I noticed others complained about glasses being removed early. We didn't have this.
