    They got vendor maps...

Feels like Christmas! This is my first time in Tacoma Dome. A little dated, and the process for entering was slower than it had to be. Still, the festival had lots of great vendors. Worth the effort!

So here's the thing, it's a pretty good venue, but the seats we were in felt dangerous with no handrail and a steep drop. They wouldn't let us go up from the bottom which did have handrails instead it was up and over and down. Also the people next to us stank so bad we left the event early. Not sure why you would sell two sets of seats right next to each other when the whole section is empty. This would have made it a three for me, but I raised it back to a four because the prices for food were pretty reasonable, I mean, not great, but nowhere near as bad as Safeco or even Cheney field

The food was okay. The service was good, but today at Seventeen Concert our section was closed off and given a farther away seat than the section that was paid. A concert tour atmosphere. All the concerts that we attend at the Tacoma Dome was great.

I got to see a show here that involved hella lasers. It was great! Parking was $40 by the venue. They allowed parking in the museum across the street, and they also charged $40. I found free street parking up the street. Going back to my car was a bee though because it was uphill. There were two portapotties on the west side, where I entered. Security was fine, but the ticket lines at the entrance were a mess. Getting down to the floor was awkward. There were no direct paths down to the floor, so you had to weave through the seats. There is a section of steep stairs that do not have railings. This caused a bottle neck effect when getting out of the venue. That was the worst part. Everyone was forced to crowd around the steps and push their way up. Honestly I think they should do better. The website says they only allow clear bags. I was weary of this being an indoor venue that I wouldn't be able to breathe with all the vaping, etc. However the ceilings were high enough that I actually had a better time than I normally would at a stage like at NOS in California. There are lockers upstairs, which is nice because you definitely don't need a jacket. Drink tickets were $15. Max 2 per person.

I had the best customer service experience surrounding lost PBR tickets. After trying to track them down with UPS and stuck in the automated system abyss I thought reaching out to the Tacoma Dome would be my last ditch effort. Laree answered after just one ring and was very attentive to my needs. She took down my name and number and within just a couple minutes Adam Gesacion, Director of Business Development, called me. He listened to my predicament and offered to help. His customer service went above and beyond my expectations. I will forever hold my experience with The Tacoma Dome Staff with the utmost appreciation and will return for future events in the years to come. While in the Overlook I left my purse in the restroom and although I went back just a few minutes later I thought it would be gone...I frantically went to the hostess and she handed my purse to me and directed me to the staff member who found it. (Handsome man with gray beard) I refrained from hugging him but thanked him enthusiastically and continued the event with even more gratitude in my heart. WOW...Soo impressed by this venue!!!

While waiting for doors to open. Elf, not self lol (12/10/22)

Last time I was at the Tacoma Dome was 12/6/12 for a How To Train Your Dragon Holiday Extravaganza when The Homie was still a small fry. Fast forward to yesterday evening (12/10/22), we braved the rain squalls from hell and traffic hell from Shoreline to Tacoma to grab an early dinner before seeing Jo Koy. The Homie is now a college student. Pro tips learned from this visit: *Give yourself ample time to get to your destination *Take Exit 135 not 133 from I-5 South, this has little to no traffic *Better yet - park in downtown Tacoma and use light rail to TDome station or walk *Paid parking via card, no cash accepted by the nearby car museum was $30 *Leave excess stuff at home or car trunk, have a clear bag, no pocket knives, be prepared to go through security screening *Masks are optional, but wise to wear at a sold out event *Main doors opened up at 630pm for this particular 8pm event *Trust the signage and not necessarily the onsite staff to locate your seats *Stand or walk around while onsite before the show starts *Be careful when going up and down stairs, the railing is wobbly *Eat before arriving, kiosks and merch onsite had crazy expensive prices *Pack your patience and remember your driving etiquette when leaving the parking lot areas...don't be that honking idiot. Imagine up to 20K trying to exit and leave the TD at the same time. *Followed the traffic flow where most did not go, thankfully found an alternate route to get onto I-5 North Worthwhile because the overall Jo Koy show was fantastic, even had a surprise guest at the end - Macklamore! I have plenty of time to plan for my next visit in Dec 2032, lol.

Waiting for the bull riding to officially start!!
    Tasha L.

Our first time at the dome was to watch bull riding and the event was fantastic. The food, however, was the worst I have ever had. We tried multiple food vendors and did not like a single thing. The chicken tinga sandwich looked like cat vomit on a bun and did not even have the consistency of chicken. The pretzel and nacho cheese were both hard and cold and the bratwurst tasted like it was microwaved. The food was AWFUL. Never eat here!

I've got section 107 row C seat 17, is the view okay?

It depends on the stage layout and at which end of the arena the stage is located. You can go the Tacoma Dome website and see the seating chart for your event. One thing I like about the Dome is that the legroom is so generous, much better than Key… Read more

Before delving into all that, though, I will summarize some of its best features: * Free parking (in the east lot only, however) * Wonderful security, concession, and event staff (minus one manager in particular) * Spacious venue, with great sight lines, even from the floor Now, on to the problem: Myself, my wife, and another 20-or-so attendees had VIP Meet & Greet tickets to meet one of the bands in the lineup for our event, to which we were invited into the venue early to hang out with them, take pictures, etc. Although our band was not the headliner, we were told by event staff that, once our session was done, we'd have to head back outside. However, we were explicitly told to line up behind the VIP line for the headliner, and once their session was one, we'd ALL be allowed entry into the venue early, partially to avoid the 90+ degree heat and direct sunlight hitting the glass and reflective mirrors on the sunny-side of the building, where our lines were told to assemble. We confirmed this multiple times with the gentleman, who was friendly, warm, helpful and welcoming. Once we were back outside, things took a turn south, as the Events Manager, the aforementioned smug, rude, condescending and callous mentioned above, decided otherwise, and subjected nearly two dozen people to several hours of sun exposure, simply due to her being on some sort of power trip. Multiple people in our group would end up suffering from heat-related health issues, including two diabetics. Thankfully, some of the caring concession staff inside, noticing our plight, offered some free cold beverages to help alleviate their suffering. Despite being informed of what the previous gentleman had said, as well as the condition of the people suffering in the heat, the Events Manager continued to be smug and dismissive, her response always distilling down to basically "because I said so". Her final excuse was that our tickets simply could not be scanned for entry prior to a certain time, which is true to a point. However, as one of the people in our group worked for Ticketmaster, and informed her, and everyone present, that this is adjustable by the venue AND Ticketmaster, she ran out of excuses. Once we were finally inside, things were great, once people had recovered from the heat. However, this Events Manager put people's live in danger for no reason other than exerting her power, and that is in excusable. A complaint is being filed with the BBB by multiple people in our group, as well as formal complains with the venue's ownership and upper management. At the VERY least, in the future, ShoWare Center needs to inform their management that extended queues for summer events MUST be moved to the shaded side of the building, and when people start to suffer legitimate risks to their health, then it's time to take action...or be the subject of legal action taken against them.

One tip that you may want to keep in mind... If you are going to a day game during the summer and don't wanna sit in full sun, try to find seats behind home plate. The first and third base sides of the field were in full sun for most of the game. Lots of different concessions and they had a large number of staff working each one to keep the crowd moving along. I tried Farrelli's pizza and it was great. Huge piece of pizza! Restrooms were kept clean throughout the game and plenty of security on hand to ensure that all patrons felt safe. All in all, this was a great afternoon and a great experience. I look forward to my next visit.
