William C Warren building

Great little venue to host a gathering. We've been here twice for a birthday and baby shower. The…read morespace is just right for our large family to have seating, 4 buffet tables, space for photo backdrops and a table for gifts. Accommodates up to 72 people. The high ceiling and 3 large, glass roll down garage doors make the space feel super big and bright. We have been here in summer when they were opened up and the kids were able to run and play in the real grass field right next to the building. In late fall with the doors closed it is very warm and cozy inside, even with the entrance door open. There is a small kitchen in the corner complete with sink, glass stove top and oven plus counter space. No refrigerator that I noticed though so bring your coolers and ice. There is plenty of parking with large enough spots to easily accommodate a large SUV and open doors comfortably. Inside there are two restrooms, one for men and women, not unisex, but they have a changing table (at least the women's restroom did). The building is adjacent to a small park. It's nice but be sure to not leave any valuables in your car as there can be some shady characters hanging about. After our event was done it helps to have family/ friends pitch in for the quick cleanup. Tables and chairs need to be stacked into their trolleys and the floors quickly swept. They provide the cleaning stuff like the large sweeper, etc. many hands make light work so for our large party clean up only took about 15 minutes. It's a good thing to model respect for the venue space to the littles and have the kids help out with clean up. Make it a game and it's even easier. Overall this is a great venue and we would definitely come back again.

Easy to reserve by calling the number on Yelp and asking them which days are available. We've had…read moremany showers and birthdays here. Most recently we had a baby shower "Ahoy it's a boy" themed party. I called about 4 weeks before to reserve the space for about $200 for 5 hours. The representative was professional and easy to work with. On the day of the event, the attendee met me about a hour before and stayed on the property until after the event. I love this venue because outside there is a playground for the kids, there are huge windows that open up as doors to the outside, and they provide tables, chairs and there's a fridge, oven and kitchen space. No microwave! The party was a huge success and everyone had a great time. We will most likely reserve again for future events. I love the location in Auburn it's easy to get to and in the middle of Tacoma and Seattle. You can bring your own music, coolers and decorations. Must have painters tape or blue tape for the walls if you put up decor. No alcohol unless you have a permit. Thanks City of Auburn for having such a beautiful venue available to the public for a great price.

Federal Way Performing Arts and Event Center

I didn't even know that Federal Way had a performing arts center but I was pleasantly surprised…read morethat it did. I almost always go to Seattle for concerts and any type of events really and the fact that I live in Tacoma and Federal Way is considerably closer I didn't hesitate to go to the event held here. I saw Henry Rollins, yes the singer who was in Black Flag and the Rollins Band who has taken to the stage in spoken word form rather than music. The show was awesome as we all learned of Henry's childhood and youth and other bands that he played with along with making music. His presentation was touching, honest, thought provoking and funny. Very satisfying! The parking was surprisingly not as difficult to get in and out from the center as I thought. Leaving is always harder than coming in going off of other concert experiences from this year but this was not nearly as long or as tedious as venues I have gone to this year. The organization inside the building was efficient and confident with getting the audience where they needed to go and nothing about that was overwhelming as this is a smaller venue which also helps with crowd direction. Good experience coming here and would love to return for more events!

NOT A HANDICAPPED FRIENDLY VENUE! I went to a concert there last night. I walk with a walker or a…read morecane. Needless to say, the walker is inconvenient in crowds, so I opted for my cane. Upon arrival, my friend that drove, dropped me off at the door as close parking was unavailable. I could wait in the entry way, not the lobby, while she parked a distance away. Understandable, as she had the tickets, that I couldn't access the lobby. We had an enjoyable time at the event. It was my first time attending anything there and was considering checking out future events, maybe a season pass as I let lapse my season tickets at the Intiman several years ago. After the event, we exited the venue. It was chilly and she had to retrieve her vehicle. Everyone was, of course leaving at the same time. I wanted to re-enter while I waited for her and have a place to sit. There, apparently is an invisible line, that if you cross, they won't let you return. We knew it was going to take her awhile, since she had to walk to her car and try to fight outgoing cars trying to get back to me. We explained the situation to the door "guards" and they wouldn't let me back in to sit down while I waited. The lobby still had people milling about waiting for the band to come out and visit with the patrons. I had my ticket stub proving I had paid. The answer was a condescending NO! So, I had to stand, leaning on my cane as my left leg went numb and felt like I had shoots of fire running up and down it. It was a considerable wait. I will never go back after this one visit. I am appalled they treat handicapped people in this manner!! Truly a horrendous experience. Please, if you are handicapped, BEWARE! You aren't going to be accommodated if you require anything outside the norm.

It meets our needs and budget perfectly, and the staff couldn't be more accommodating. They provided coolers with ice for our drinks and were willing to lend an occasional large bowl or platter, and even helped receive the Costco shipments I had coming in since I wasn't about to enter a Costco myself on a weekend. The beds I would say are passable but not the most comfortable (I'm spoiled), and the building has clear signs of aging but everything was maintained and clean. Whoever prepares the rooms for check-in - seeing the end of my toilet paper somehow elaborately folded into a flower and then using it to wipe for the first time? Unforgettable experience thank you so much for your attention. That was worth 5 stars alone.

My kids love Claw machines so decided to check this place out. Before going in, this gal told us…read morethe worker was super nice and would help move toys around to help you. Umm never saw an employee at all. Bought $20 coins, each coin is $1. Small machines are $2, bigger ones are $3. We captured a lot of the big ones but they would mysteriously fall out last minute. The small ones seem to be more successful. Overall, super overpriced and I feel some machines are fixed to make it so you don't win.

This place is new so at least rn there's not much worth to trade up to, might be better later. also each play is kinda high cost for flimsy claws. Usually the machines are a bit more honest/ezr picks per play since you have to basically p2w. This one is kinda over priced to me for cost per play to win ratio; basically 1$-1token with minimal extras on tiers up (20-3 xtra or one free play, 50, 100) Plays for mini machines is anywhere from 2-7 tokens each play average per play on main machines is 3 tokens For stuff that's off brand or random cute things So overall wasn't a bad experience but you really have to spend at least 20-50 bucks to pull enough to swap, maybe more. I'm not sure how much plushes are needed cos I only spent 20 and didn't get much nor did the helper on the floor explain anything about the experience. So if you haven't gone to places like this youd probably have to ask. There's also a Photo Booth? Idk about bathroom situation o: Also has its own door so don't have to go inside the mall to reach it.
