Two times I've picked up tacos and burritos and two times I've been given cold food. Not warm, cold. It's not from the lettuce or the salsa. The center of the chicken or pork was cold. Like taken from the refrigerator, wrapped in a tortilla, boxed up and sent home cold. Same with the dips, the rice, the and the beans. When I try to get a refund the excuses go flying and I had to push to get it. Picking it up, the staff was friendly however. The restaurant is a nice clean place too. Very inviting. Top spot for tacos in Columbus that taste fairly close to Mexico as you can get in Indiana. I recommend getting tacos of cabeza (which is the head of the cow, very tender). 4 salsas and they got kick (spicy) which is good; variety of soft drinks and fruit drinks (they are on the sweeter side). This place is very good. Authentic Mexican tacos loaded with your choice of meats. They also bring a selection of sauces to your table that range from very mild to pretty hot. Unlike most Mexican restaurants they don't automatically give out free chips. You will need to order queso or ask for them specifically. I loved their food by didn't frequent them because of the small facility and crowd conditions. But they just expanded and have plenty of room in a spacious setting. Will be visiting often. read more

Small kinda hidden Mexican food in a small strip mall. Small inside no tables were available so I took it to go. Food was good. Chorizo Burrito is what I had. I would get that again. The red sauce was super hot, i stayed away from that. Maybe their are better dishes to get that I am not aware of but I have had better Mexican food. Decided to stop by after awhile! The food is still amazing and fresh. I always go here for the tacos, they have many different options like asada(beef),pastor(pork), and pollo(chicken). And for the ones more adventurous, go for the lengua (tongue), tripa (intestines), or cabeza (head). If you go for the tripa, make sure you get it extra crispy. They also have a variety of different sauces as well. The two green sauces are the more milder ones, the yellow is a sweeter sauce with a little kick, and if you like spicy, the red sauce would be for you. Tread carefully. They also give you a side of radish, limes, and spicy onions. You have the option also if you don't want any toppings. Their horchata is very powdery but they have other drink options that are good. They have a small dining room but also offer take out of course. This is definitely my go to taco spot. read more

BEST TACOS IN INDIANA. Hidden hometown gem, but 100% Mexico City tasting tacos. They also just renovated and are in a much bigger space. That's how good they are. They have added birria tacos / quesabirrias to their menu and they're so good. You're going to want to order about 5 orders Lol! Don't tell me I didn't put yall on. They take about 5 different salsas to your table to choose from and radishes. Don't forget your Mexican Coca Cola and dessert for the end! The flan and chocoflan are amazing! I have always ordered my food to go but I really like the brightness of the restaurant. Both times I have gone, the restaurant was packed and the majority of the customers were Spanish speaking which is always a plus in my book! Both times I have ordered a burrito and the second time I requested they put my guacamole, beans and rice inside my burrito rather than as side items. The second time the burrito was fire. I was humming as I was eating it was so good! And only half of my burrito was left by the time I made it back to my hotel room. On the northeast side of Columbus is a cleverly named new Mexican restaurant that is drawing a steady flow of customers. It is a little hard to find on the south corner of a strip mall along US 31 (just south of 17th passed where the median ends.) But once you find it, you will be glad you did! After a short wait in line (lots of to go orders were placed), we placed our order at the counter, were given a number to place on the table we selected, and then waited for our food which came out in just a few minutes. While waiting, one of the staff brought out the sauces and extra veggies to use with our order. There were spicy (hot) onions in one dish, and sliced radishes and lime chunks in another. There were also four sauces: The Avocado & Chiles (light green), the Mango Habanero (light yellow), the Chile de Arbol (reddish orange) and the Tomatillo (darker green). I am not an expert on pairing the sauces, so I just tried them with the different food items. Some were a bit hotter than others, but all seemed to be pretty tasty. My wife got two of the regular tacos. She thought the Asada/Steak was pretty good on its corn tortilla with lettuce and onions. However, she wasn't a fan of the pollo/chicken which was served in the same manner. The chicken was cubed and had very little seasoning and a little bit overcooked. I suggested different sauces to add flavor, but she still thought the steak much tastier. I ordered a side of guacamole which comes with chips and is definitely shareable in size (I'm guessing it was an entire avocado's worth.) Very tasty and the chips were crisp (unseasoned as well). I decided to try one of the Tacos de Alambre, the Chorizo/Mexican Sausage. The menu describes this type of taco as Hawaiian. It comes in a corn shell with cooked onion and bell peppers, and is topped with cheese. Again, it was okay, but nothing I would go out of my way for. However, I also ordered a Burrito al Pastor/marinated pork that was fantastic! The burrito is served rolled in foil and sliced in the middle (I saved half for later!) Inside was filled with the pastor, lettuce, tomato, and generally, a lot of flavor. I tried a variety of the sauces and they all seemed to work. The burrito was rolled in a flour tortilla. I would highly recommend this item. The staff was friendly and helpful and bring the food to your table (They also clear your table. No self busing is necessary.)
