Carnitas are always great. The staff are very friendly and helpful when you ask about the menu options

It was decent, the asada burrito was a good size and flavor but didn't come with sides, the chipotle shrimp had nice flavor as well as the beans, it was just a pretty small serving size. I did like the soft corn tortillas it came with. I don't remember another time I've finished a whole meal at a Mexican restaurant, and not felt full. Just something to know ahead of time that it's good if you're looking for a smaller meal. They also forgot to give us the guac we bought or any chips, which I guess might not be included. The green salsa was good and the red salsa was super spicy. Smaller place with inside seating, food came out for takeout pretty quickly (~15 minutes). read more

The menu is simple and basic but well executed. Tacos are Mexican street taco style made with 2 soft corn tortillas, grilled onions, chopped cilantro and radishes and a wedge of lime. The lunch special gets you 3 beef tacos for $5, with chicken tacos at the same price M-W. There are other lunch specials starting at $5 which include tortas (sandwiches), lunch size chimichanga with beans and rice, and beef burrito. The premises are exceptionally clean which is always appreciated. The staff is friendly and polite. There might be a bit of a wait if you come during busy times. There is only one wait person and, I think, one cook but it's easy to get in and out in an hour. They do a brisk carry out business too. read more

The new Sabor finally opened up on State St. My brother and buddy decided to give this place a try and see if it was the same quality as the one that was one Cottage Ave before it got bought out and demolished into a gas station. We walked in and recognized some familiar faces from the previous restaurant. We were greeted and sat down. Of course they had the same menu but was the quality of food the same? We ordered tacos like we usually do when we come here, and to be honest, the food was pretty good. Now I don't have to drive to Edinburgh to eat at Sabor! Stopped by here on a Friday night, even though it's a sit down we did a take out instead. Taco night for everyone steak, pastor, chorizo and pollo side of refried beans. Not too long a wait 10-15 min, salsa verde along with a red salsa came along. Everything was delicious, I ate two and could have gone for 3 truth be known. Steak was a little dry but not a deal breaker. Not the best I've ever had but this was pretty good, place is a nice size, clean, staff was kind and menu includes burritos and tortas as well. A little over $21 for 7 tacos and a side, decent bang for your buck. Worth a visit if your in Columbus and looking for a more authentic Mexican experience, two thumbs up. read more

My favorite - we call it Magic Tacos because they're magically delicious! The real magic here is the wonderful salsa verde, which is so good you could eat it with a spoon. Three tacos is a good serving - chicken, chorizo, al pastor, all great. I recommend getting the tacos "con todo", which includes radishes, onion, and cilantro. Add a generous spoonful of salsa verde and enjoy. Another meal I love is Choripollo - chicken topped with chorizo and queso. The flavor of their chorizo is very good and this dish is consistently well prepared. read more

We ate here for lunch while visiting Columbus, Indiana. I am a big fan of latin American food so I was excited to try this place. I got a couple of chicken tacos and a chicken empanada. The flavor of the chicken was great and the empanada crust literally melted in your mouth. It was literally the best empanada I have ever had. They bring out a "lazy susan" (for lack of better word) of salsas for you to try which I really appreciated. Definitely recommend and will definitely come back if ever in the area again! read more

Not the best but not the worst either. I like having 3 salsa options with the chips. My wife and I ordered one each of the pork and chicken tamales. Definitely preferred the pork (red sauce) over the chicken (verde). The side of rice and beans wasn't that warm (another patron noted they don't heat the plates they serve on). The building is brand new and also the parking lot. They only had one waitress during Lunch hour, so it took a minute to have my order taken. I ordered a Steak Burrito and Bean Pupusa. The Burrito was really good, the Pupusa not so much! It was greasy and didn't have much cheese in it. Their prices are great, you can get the Burrito for $5 or 3 Tacos for $5 All Day long. read more

To be honest, I eat here a few times a month. They have some of the beat tacos I've ever had. I really like the odd meats like beef tongue and tripe (cooked crispy). My favorite Mexican place in town. Simple delicious food, never disappoints. It is clean, tidy, family run, very friendly staff, nothing to complain about really! I loved the food and used to frequent this place. At one point a coworker warned me to avoid it because he claimed to have watched them return the leftovers from a table's salsa to the pot to re-serve. (This was when they were located on cottage.) I ignored the warning thinking he was making this up. During a visit to the State St. location I watched the waitress scrape queso back to the crock pot in the kitchen from a bowl she'd just bussed from a table. This review is not hyperbole. The chicken taco is the best taco in the state of Indiana. The salsa verde illuminates my dreams in a green haze of tomatillo. And the guacamole is so perfect, Greek sculptors would have used their avocado to tomato to onion to cilantro measurements to discover the golden ratio. We visited for dinner on a Saturday night and were the the only ones in the restaurant at 7pm. The service was good, but the food was barely acceptable. One person's meal was cold when it was brought out, and the rest of the food was bland at best. The red sauce over the burrito looked and tasted like the sauce from Spaghetti-O's.
