It's incredibly shocking to go in and order food then go to the bathroom to see roaches in the sink, I informed staff, then management came to my table and told me to "Get the Fuck Out" an extremely absurd response. Trust me, will never go back, and neither should anyone else. This is not the first time the inexperienced manager has gotten mouthy with guest, three month ago I popped in for lunch and the manager was extremely rude to the table across from me. I'm surprised he still has a job. read more

I met a client from Southern Indiana and a halfway point in Columbus. I've been to several other Luciano's locations in the Indianapolis area and always have a great experience. This was my first time to visit the Columbus location and I was not disappointed. The restaurant is beautiful and well cared for. A very inviting Patio is perfect for the warmer days. Our server was funny, attentive and very professional. We started with some bean dip and skinny margaritas that were both fantastic. I had the burritos with shrimp which is so flavorful and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. Definitely make your way to this gem in downtown Columbus. read more

Hungry and looking for somewhere to grab lunch, we decided to stop by Luciana's on a whim. We ended up having a really solid meal! We were promptly seated and ordered drinks plus queso to start. A small order of queso is still pretty big in my opinion. It's classic midwestern queso - pure cheese. It hit the spot though. I went with the lunch special #10 - an enchilada, chalupa, and cheese quesadilla. I went with shredded chicken for my protein choice. It was very good! And the price point was amazing. Pretty sure the #10 was $7.95. My partner got chicken tacos that came with rice and beans. Her meal was good as well. We decided to splurge and also ordered the churros and ice cream. The churros were solid! Our server was very nice and got us taken care of quickly. I'd definitely recommend this place based on the price point, portion sizes and meal quality. read more

I am a fan of this kind of Mexican restaurant. Overall, I found this one to be slightly below par. Well, the experience was by no means bad, it was not as good as some of its competitors. However, it is in a great location, so I am confident I will give it another try someday. read more

Services was decent , but only about 4 tables occupied. Food was horrible! Cheese dip tasted like garlic dip. Beans and rice had absolutely no taste, tacos came with cold chewy soft shell with old hamburger and lettuce. I was recommended to try this contemporary family style Mexican restaurant by my hotel front desk person, and I was delightfully surprised. Though I arrived 15 minutes before closing, they welcomed me to the patio, and had an excellent menu ( including the staple: Speedy Gonzales, which IMO every good family Mexican restaurant should ). I ordered the house marg on the rocks with salt and tres enchiladas verdes, and everything was super-fresh, including the house-made fresh corn tortillas, sauces, sides, salsas, chips, etc. Super high-quality at affordable prices, and fast and pleasant service! I generally like this kind of restaurant. And I am very disinclined to leave negative reviews. On the positive side, the waiter was wonderful and the ambience is nice. But the food was quite simply awful. We had fish tacos that were virtually inedible. My wife and I got quite sick from our attempt to eat some of them. They really must up their game or I suspect few people will return, sadly. read more

Ok y'all. So my friend and I hit up the downtown cbus the other night. (Lol big city girls right there) I thought a margarita sounded good so I asked if we could stop at Luciana's. She was reluctant cuz she said she got sick at a Luciana's in Indianapolis before. (Idk if they're a chain or what) but anyways we went. Ok. So the staff. Omg guys they are all so precious. Every single person there acted like you were there friend. The margaritas were too sweet for me but I just like my stuff strong so I don't hold it against them. We didn't get much to eat but I remember their queso was awesome. I can't remember our actual servers name which stinks cuz I wanted to give her a shout out. She was awesome! She was on it and kept us informed the whole time. Like the bar was really backed up at one point and she kept us posted on how much longer multiple times. I don't mind waiting for drinks and such when I'm updated like that. Cuz I know I wasn't just forgotten or someone isn't being lazy. But anyways ya. I'll be back! Place is clean. Service is great. I just didn't like the food. The chips and salsa wasn't even good. I tried the tacos and the nachos and they just lacked flavor. I wish there was better seasoning. I've tried this place twice but i just can't return. read more

Great vibrant atmosphere! Friendly fun staff. Food is always amazing! Drinks are fire! Their chicken soup, chips and salsa are amazing!

On an overnight visit to see the city's great architecture, Luciana's was recommended to us by our hotel manager. We are so glad we listened! The food was delicious, reasonably priced and ready when expected. We took it carry-out back to our hotel room this time, but we will visit again when able to dine in as time allows. This place is probably one if my best Mexican restaurants that I have been to. The place is new big wide open and really modern. Service was splendid and so friendly. Let's go to the food. Prices are about the best I have seen at any Mexican restaurant. And let's talk about our fajitas. Oh my enough for wife and I to share and lunch for not just one day but 2 days. You are talking big. We went today with the family. I got the kids quesadillas.. they were soggy- so I asked for 2 extra plates so I can rebuild them with some fajitas from my order. Waitress brought 2 plates.. said they were hot and to be careful. We waited a few minutes.. and I went to grab them (which were set in front of where my son was sitting). I legit burned my finger. It was extremely painful. About 10 mins later- they were still too hot to touch. Waitress came back and I told her how I burnt my finger- and her response was "well I told you they were hot". Okay- .. but usually when the server says a plate is hot- within a few mins it should have cooled down enough to touch. She couldn't even pick them up to get them off the table. This was close to 15 mins AFTER she brought them. They brought us these extra plates that had been sitting in the oven!!!!!!!!!!! I asked to speak to the manager- mostly to just say how they need to be careful and that my son could have grabbed it since they were placed in front of him.. and just should be something for them to be aware of in the future. He discounted our check (not much by any means).. but the waitress never came back to our table. We waited another 20 mins just for someone to process the payment. This was the first time I've ever been in a situation like this. 8 hours later and I have a nice fun blister And my kids didn't even eat the food. So that's my review. read more

09/12/2022: Extortion Alert! Check your card statement if you pay by card. Had a lunch there with my family. Food was below average. Sat outside as they provide outdoor dining. After we were done I paid them by cash and started walking towards my car when I heard waiter calling me. We stopped as we were confused what might be the reason. Waiter approached me and told that I have to pay 18% tip even though I had paid 10% tip for below average food. On the check it did not say any "mandatory tip" all it showed was "Suggested tip" I followed the waiter inside and told manager about the incident. I was shocked by manager's attitude. He was like why you don't want to pay 18% tip. Stood there and argued but it was not going anywhere. At last paid them more than 18% tip as I had to get back to work. Read reviews and found that people have faced similar situations before. This is nothing but extortion. Will not go there even if I'm starving to death. read more

If you want good American-Mexican food, look no further. It has a great location in the commons building in downtown Columbus, IN and is convenient to walk to. There is an outdoor eating area, a bar and plenty of seating options. There are lunch specials for the mid-day meal, but also have plenty of margaritas and cervezas options for the post work day stress relief. I got the tacos and they were great. The lunch meals also looked very well done, but just seemed to be your standard combo meal just like any other of its type. read more

If you have a hankering for some basic Mexican food this is the place. Nothing fancy but the food is really good. The service is incredibly fast so I'd imagine its quick to get in and out of. The al pastor tacos were good and didn't disappoint but I would have loved more flavor to it. Everything seems to be seasoned appropriately but lacking flavor. Moved to Columbus a few months ago and stopped here. It's definitely your typical tex mex style food, but the staff is great and knowledgeable and able to provide something more authentic if you ask. I've always enjoyed my meals and there was only one instance where there was a new server training who forgot about me unfortunately. The rest of the staff noticed and helped get my food out quickly and discounted my drinks and appetizer to make up for the confusion. Refused to make a skinny margarita with house tequila because "that's not how we do it" "we only make it with premium tequila" so you can't put house tequila with fresh lime and orange and soda in a glass? As a bartender I found this dumb and lazy. Sorry you were trying to charge me twice what I wanted to pay for a margarita, but you definitely hurt your tip instead of helping it. Enjoyed a fabulous meal here while family was visiting from out of town. I enjoyed the Enchiladas Verde, super delicious!! My son had Arroz Con Pollo & my mother in law had it with shrimp in place of the chicken. Huge portions, shrimp was tender and yummy! Love the salsa since it doesn't have giant chunks of veges. When looking for an authentic Mexican cuisine in Columbus, Indiana the options available are vast. However, the environment in many of these restaurants can sometimes lack a home-like environment. Upon arriving at Luciana's, my girlfriend and I were amazed by the decorations. The walls seemed to be painted by hand. The food was incredible. The Tacos al pastor and Tacos de Cecina, were amazing. The Fried Ice cream was out of this world. I will be probably be going again next time I'm in town. read more

My second experience in the restaurant was bad! We ordered for vegetarian fajitas which had chicken in it!! We noticed it only when we where packing the food. The service was super slow!!! We had to go and call a person to inform it, as no one attending the table. Liked this place when we went there for the first time. But this experience was disappointing. We tried the new Mexican restaurant in town. We showed up at 6:45 and was told it'd be a 30 minute wait. It took about 40 minutes to get our table, not bad. We got drinks & chips and salsa right away. Salsa is a bit spicy but delicious! We had to wait awhile for our waiter to come back for refills and to take our order. We thought we had been forgotten. It took awhile to get our food too. Probably after its been a month or two, service will get better. We'll come back though! And definitely update my review :) Also, lights are a bit bright inside. They made me a bit dizzy. But it is a very nice ambiance inside. read more

We gave this place a try and Im glad to say it didn't disappoint. The reason I gave it 4 stars was it was our first visit there and I need a couple more visits to see how consistent it is. Everyone in my family was happy with their food. The salsa was great as was the spicy tomatillo sauce and pico that came with the Tacos Trio. My daughter was practically drooling over her flautas. The kids meal was pretty big. The service was spot on and friendly. I just hope this place pans out to be consistent as our first visit was exceptional. read more

Loved the food, but take out service has been terrible. Twice now we've received the wrong items and only realized when we made the trip back home. This second time eating there will be our last because after making a second trip to get our correct items, we discovered black beard hairs in our food. I'm disappointed because I've always enjoyed Luciana's food but I cannot continue to eat at a place where I struggle to get the correct items I've ordered in a clean and sanitary state.
