    Did someone say tacos?!?
    Monique B.

Taco me anywhere but here! The name, presentation and service were promising, but the tacos did not live up to expectations. We tried just about every taco on the menu (shrimp, fish, beef, steak, chicken, chorizo). The portion size was hearty and the ingredients were fresh, but the tacos were all made with the same toppings, so they all taste the same. I LOVE a good guac but not on the base of every taco, it makes the meat cold. Not to mention I prefer fresh corn tortillas over store-bought. The price was a little on the expensive side ($16 for 4 tacos), but the restaurant is super clean and trendy.

Dishonest New restaurant and being dishonest Got a "free taco coupon" and when I went to the restaurant I was asked to buy in order to get that free taco. See my photo, it does not have small prints

I found my new Taco shop. Ordered 2 Zocalo tacos, steak & chicken with corn tortillas and a side of gauc & chips. I'll be back.

We initially decided to stop in after seeing some of the food my coworkers had ordered. While I wasn't able to identify exactly what they had from the menu, everything coming out of the kitchen looked fresh and appealing, which convinced us to give it a try. The smash burgers were excellent--cooked well, flavorful, and made to order. We also tried the lamb taco, which was very good and offered something a little different from the usual menu options. My daughters ordered the calamari and enjoyed it as well. For dessert, we sampled the churros. They were fresh and had a nice texture, making for a solid finish to the meal. One of the highlights was the fresh-squeezed juice. We tried the mango, and it was outstanding. You can definitely taste the difference when it's made fresh. My only observation is that the bottles are a little small, so it's easy to finish one quickly. That said, the staff was accommodating and even provided a couple of cups so we could enjoy fountain drinks as well. The service was excellent. Everyone was friendly, patient, and eager to help. There was a small mistake with our order, but it was corrected immediately without any issues. That's often a better indicator of customer service than getting everything perfect the first time. Special recognition goes to Hector Ramos at the register. He was professional, courteous, and made a great first impression on behalf of the restaurant. The only minor challenge was an occasional language barrier, but it never impacted the friendliness of the staff or our overall experience. Everyone remained kind, respectful, and committed to helping us. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor area has umbrellas and a nice atmosphere, although it was a little warm during our visit. The indoor dining area was comfortable and inviting. One thing to keep in mind is that much of the food appears to be prepared fresh to order. Because of that--and the volume of takeout orders--it may take a few extra minutes compared to a typical fast-casual restaurant. In my opinion, the wait is worth it. A little patience goes a long way when the food is being made fresh. For a first visit, this was an easy five-star experience. Good food, friendly service, fresh ingredients, and a welcoming atmosphere. We'll definitely be back, and I'll be interested to see if future visits are as strong as the first. Yelp Elite Reviewer

For many of my friends, when we visit this area, Crooked Run is now a destination because of the tacos (as well as the beer). I do find them delicious and nicely spiced. For me, their price is slightly below average among places I visit, so I find them to be a good deal, especially since they come in slightly larger tortillas - and double layered at that. Their lamb tacos - now 2 styles - are incredibly popular among my group, but I've never had a bad taco there. But the tacos are very messy. Perhaps they have a little too much - even double layered, some of the tacos fall apart as I eat them. Also their method of delivery is a little inconsistent. Two of us ordered two tacos each at the same time. One got his on a tray, I got mine in a little cardboard holder. Maybe they have a limited number of trays? No matter, it's not how they're presented, it's how they taste. And for that, I say "Si Senor!"
