Had we read the reviews first, we wouldn't have come in. But we didn't, because we were hungry and traveling hundreds of miles today. We lucked out. The food was fine and the employees were nice. The bathroom could use warm water for handwashing (it's cold as hell), and the soap pump wasn't functional, but my GF said the women's room was fine and clean. Yelp says they're closed but when I walked in they were friendly and let us know they'd take orders when we were ready (lots of cars in the drive-through). I'm not sure why the other reviewers had a bad time but ours was good. Maybe different shifts or managers. read more

Owner, Moses Arteaga, verbally abuses his staff (Tea2Go in Lubbock), even after she begged him to step back from her because she felt threatened. The whole encounter is on camera - even after they asked her to delete the video that incremented him. He crossed the line when he continued to scream his head off while she sat there and cried over his son not knowing how to do his job. As a mom of a special needs child, it's not an excuse! I had not been back to this location in some time because it was undesirable the last time. I went today hoping it would be better. It was NOT. We ordered bean burritos. They were COLD. The cheese wouldn't even melt. We went through the drive through. I asked my husband to take the COLD burritos back but he wouldn't. If I had been driving, I would have taken the burritos back. This place was horrible not so much the food even though it was wrong. The manager has no customer service skills. Instead of trying to fix the problem and listen to my concerns, she said that is what you ordered.... And said she was hanging up!!! Will never go back. Even though I repeated myself twice at the drive through and then corrected her at the window that I had 2 combination burritos with extra red sauce. She fixed that had it as bean burritos. No extra red sauce but guess it is what it is. Then said you ordered nacho fries I said no 3 orders of chili cheese curly fries. Taco Villa is our family's go to fast food. Apparently this place in Lamesa Tx is now owned by a private owner and not the Taco Villa franchise. Its was the most disappointing experience. The fries were not even cooked and had no golden crisp to them. They looked more like a noodle than French fries. My family always orders a mexi curls with cheese on the side but apparently they can't do that anymore. They up charge you for simply having the cheese come on the side. Not to mention the large box of fries has not been cut to about 1/4 and put in a smaller box. (Would have been nice to know, no sharing for us). The lady behind the counter even said "this isn't like your Lubbock Taco Villa." Everything we ordered was cold. The soft tacos may as well been put in a bowl to eat with a fork. It was falling out of the wrapper before even opened. If you want to change the name of your business and provide a crappy service that's one thing but don't call your self Taco Villa and give your customers the lowest quality of service! We eat at taco vlla often but haven't been to this one in quite a few years. The taco salad was supposed to be shredded chicken but it was large chunks. The salad was also missing a few ingredients. The taco salad shell was stale and soft. We also got tacos and the shells were very stale and in appetizing. The ground beef didn't taste like taco villas ground beef either. I'm a huge fan of Taco Villa but not this location. It hasn't been very good for awhile now. But this is thinly one in Lamesa. So I have it another try. It has gotten better than it was before. Maybe that's because a Taco Bell is coming soon. I'm assuming they will get better so they don't get put out of business. My drivethrough attendant was pleasant in personality and features and the food is really good for fast food. I wouldnt pay 20$ for a bean burrito but i would totally come back here and eat again. Got a fiesta box with the Missus. She enjoyed her soft and hard tacos, i really liked my bean burrito. The unsweetened tea we split wasnt super bitter like most fast food places. I'm a huge Taco Villa fan, but this location needs some attention. First I stopped at the speaker to place my order. There was one vehicle in front of me at the window. They never took my order after 4-5 minutes. I keep saying hello, with no response. When the car at the window pulled away, I pulled up to the window. I looked into the window with three people working and two of them saw me and keep moving about without responding to me after several minutes. Finally a girl with the headset came to the window, opened it and just stood there staring at me. She said nothing, then I said "do I need to come in to order, did you hear me at the speaker?" Stopped in Lamesa on our way to Lubbock and our burritos were horrible. I grew up with Taco Villa in Odessa and this is NOT a good one. For some reason the meat tasted different at this location. This was the second time I've been duped and there will not be a third!!! Corporate needs to check on this franchise because they are damaging the Taco Villa brand. read more

My family are super fans of Taco Villa. We frequent the Big Spring store several times a week. The last few times we've stopped at the Lamesa Taco Villa has been disappointing, with the last time being horrible. Food (refried beans) were inedible. We ordered in the drive thru and didn't start eating until we were out of town so we just had to throw all the food away. Also, signs clearly posted they are open until 10 pm every night, but the doors were locked at 9:30 with only the drive thru open. We will never eat at this location again. BUT - Please don't hold Taco Villa against this one store. Big Spring Store and Midland stores are wonderful!!!! read more
