    Veggie Taco
    Nidhi G.

Being a vegetarian finding good tacos which I would like to come back again and again is difficult until I tried veggie taco from Taco Pros, I just love it. It has the perfect balance of veggies, cheese, rice topped with avocado slice. The serrano sauce is so yum, I always top extra on the taco and enjoy it. The staff is friendly and polite. I mostly dine outside as it feels bit cramped and too much movement dining inside. But definitely recommend this for anyone looking to find some comfort veggie tacos.

I went to the location listed below. The customer service was not bad. Their chips and salsa was very good homemade...the steak tacos were over cooked and the chicken tacos were dry. I should have order all three Barbacoa Tacos. The portion size was great for the price. The food was hot fresh made to order. 1959 W Chicago Ave Chicago, IL 60622 United States

I got the pastor (pork) tacos combo. The meal comes with 3 tacos and rice & beans (you can also choose fries & a soda instead) for around $13 including tax. You can choose 1 of 2 styles for the tacos: American which is lettuce and tomatoes or Mexican which is onions and cilantro. I got onions and cilantro. I thought the tacos were pretty good and the meat had really good flavor! The rice was a little dry imo and the beans weren't super flavorful, but it was still alright. Since the tacos were flavorful, I felt that it made up for it! It was a pretty filling meal for the price too.

New breakfast menu looks pretty solid. Grabbed some Huevos rancheros today with over easy eggs. The eggs were perfect and everything else was tasty. Service was quick and friendly in small clean well lit restaurant.

Definitely my Mexican cuisine go to. I always get the veggie burrito/nachos and horchata. I haven't been failed yet. They do it right.

Recently, I was on the hunt for Mexican food for lunch. I have seen the sign for Taco Bros many times driving up and down on Chicago Ave, and decided now was the time to give it a try. Unfortunately, I was bit disappointed. It's not bad it's just completely average. The main point is that the food was just ok. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't that great either. I ordered the steak enchiladas dinner. The enchiladas came with refried beans, rice, lettuce, tomatoes and avocado. The main issue is that the food was bland. From the rice and beans to the enchiladas themselves there just wasn't a lot of taste. To be clear, there were a few bright points. The staff was friendly and ordering was easy. The service was fast. Soon after I ordered, I received chips and salsa pretty quickly. Also the chips and salsa were crispy and had plenty of taste. They were topped with some tajine. I think this was a nice touch. Overall, this place is ok, but if there is better alternative available, take it.

Tortas are my go to and I was excited to try the house special Barbacoa since I though the style of meat would taste good in a sandwich. I was right on the taste but the juiciness of the meat made the bread soggy. The sandwich was messy which I didn't enjoy. The meat was tasty but trying the steak asada, I wish I just got my go-to order. The asada meat tasted better and didnt make the sandwich soggy.

Despite their well-earned fame, this spot keeps the humble, hole-in-the-wall energy intact, small, unpretentious, and staffed by some genuinely warm and welcoming people. Pop in, grab a seat, and let them do the rest. My fiancé and I shared the quesabirria combo, two quesabirrias with consomé, a Mexican Coke, and a Jamaica, and honestly, everything was amazing. The Jamaica alone deserves its own shoutout: perfectly balanced, not too bitter, not too sweet, and exactly what you need to cut through the heat of the food. The tacos came out piping hot, prepped right in front of us, loaded with cheese and packed with flavor. The consomé was warming, rich, and perfectly spiced, the kind of broth that makes you want to tip the bowl. And the accompaniments (onion, cilantro, peppers, lime, and salsa) give you full control to doctor things up to your liking. For spice lovers, this setup is a dream. My one gripe, and the sole reason I'm docking a star, is the price. At around $30 for two tacos, a consomé, and drinks, it's a tough pill to swallow. As a Mexican American, there's something about that price point that pulls me slightly out of the authentic experience I was hoping for. I fully respect the craft and passion behind this food, but it's worth noting. That said? Don't let it stop you. This food is incredible, and I'll absolutely be back.

Really awesome space at a crowded downtown location. Foods were served on nice metal holders or disposable/environmentally friendly containers and utensils. The tacos were huge, and I love that they focus on the variety of vegetables on the taco, which is often overlooked at other places. Veggies also make the taco look beautiful. I particularly enjoyed the tikka paneer, the paneer was soft for paneer but firmer than tofu, a really great texture. And the flavor wasn't overpowering. The tikka sauce was light, which I am totally fine with. The chicken quesadilla was also made well and of good value, the kids all really liked it. The salmon was good too but didn't really stand out as much, but appreciate the variety veggies on top! The mexi-Cali shrimp bowl was not bad either, but also didn't stand out much. The shrimp was good but I prefer it cooked even lighter if possible. Flavor was good tho. The rice was long grain, which I prefer, but they do give quite a lot, I ended up having quite a lot leftover. I wish the had a bit more cilantro or other herby mix to increase the depth of flavor, but overall still pretty good. Queso was also really good, thick and creamy, not too salty, but sadly the kids didn't like it as much. Husband also liked the gochujang pork a lot, said it was actually really really good. Overall, we really enjoyed everything we had there. Love that they also had paper towels everywhere. My preferred method of keeping clean haha. Will definitely come back.
