Been here a few times, I think there's one taco I didn't like, but this time I got the crispy tofu and spiced potato tacos and they were both great! Each taco is over $5, so quite expensive, but they're fairly large and have plenty of fancy toppings. The crispy tofu itself is sooo well flavored, and it goes well with the mango salsa they've paired with it--this is the tank that keeps me coming back. The potato taco was also quite good, probably my second favorite here so far. It's really just nice to have a vegan option in Ball Square that you can take all your non-vegan friends to and be sure they'll leave happy.

Delicious vegan nachos! Definitely add the chorizo and guacamole! I have also had the tofu taco and cheezy potato taco and both are delicious.

Fried tofu torta

First time in Boston, and we were so excited to try a plant based taco place! There were a lot of great options including fried tofu, Burmese fried tofu, tempeh, lentil, and jackfruit. They are around 4 dollars per taco but the are bigger sized and 2 layered. They have Tortas (tofu or chorizo cutlet), nachos, and sides like chips with pinto dip or rice and beans. I loved that they have the Burmese tofu which is made from garbanzo beans. Soy free and gluten free! We got the Panko fried tofu torta and taco plate. The plate includes 2 tacos and a side for 11 dollars. The Burmese tofu and tempeh tacos were out choice. Burmese tofu: freshly fried and delicious by itself. Combined with tortillas, red cabbage, pumpkin seeds, and salsa, it masked the tofu taste a bit. It was still good though. Tempeh: very flavorful and delicious with lettuce. The tempeh is semi-soft and there is a good amount in the taco. Torta: that panko fried tofu is good! The torta bread tasted fresh and fluffy, but it was not heated at all. Mexican brown rice and black beans: tasted healthy and like it sounds.

Tempeh, jackfruit, and potato tacos with a cookie

So happy to see a vegan spot in Ball Square. Unique, flavorful tacos and cool interior. Got the tempeh, jackfruit, and potato tacos. My favorite was probably the potato one, which was well-spiced. The cookie was the perfect consistency after I popped it in the microwave for 10 seconds. Didn't stay to eat in, but the decor is sweet and they also have a bar. It's getting colder, but there's also outdoor seating. Can't wait to stop by again!

Delicious vegan tacos that are the perfect serving size!! Also, super friendly service. Highly recommend stopping by.

I caught up with the Taco Party food truck today at Dewey Park near the Federal Reserve. I'm not sure why their Yelp listing is for both the truck itself and for the restaurant on Broadway in Somerville - usually these are separate. Freezing cold today on the Greenway, but Taco Party was serving up a variety of tacos today. The board mounted on the truck included "Crispy Fried Tofu," "Chimichurri Tempeh," "Chorizo Seitan," "Sweet Potato" and "Lentils Al Pastor." Tacos are $4 each or go for the $10 meal which includes two tacos and a side (chips and pinto dip or rice & beans). I'm not completely sure, but I think all of the above is vegan. I chose the meal, one taco with the "chorizo" and the other the "sweet potato" tacos. Carrying them back to eat, they were still warm when I opened the box and they were definitely delicious. I've never had a "sweet potato" taco before but this was delicious. Fried sweet potato slices with red cabbage and crema. All the flavors came through and there was a good crunch. Yum! Definitely a high carb option here. About an hour after lunch, I needed a 30 minute nap. Yowza. [Review 10023 overall, 1606 of 2018.]

Fried crispy tofu taco + tiki taco (jackfruit + pineapple) taco. ($4 ea)..yum!

Taco Party is such a cool vegetarian place to check out. You eat their food and probably won't even know that they are vegetarian! My favorite is the deep fried crispy tofu taco...the rack came out piping hot as they do make to order for you. The place is small...with just a few tables and a few counter seats, but it was never too crowded whenever I stopped by. It is located in Somerville and a little walk from the T stop (perhaps 10-15 min), but the walk is worth it! Check it out if you are a vegetarian or curious about how good the food there can be. I got a recommendation from a waitress at another vegetarian restaurant I frequent and was not disappointed at all. The food is affordable at $4 a taco or $10 for a combo of 2 tacos and 1 side.

Taco Party is the best place to get vegan tacos!! They have great flavors and it's a nice and quiet little restaurant. Only downside: a bit expensive, and they don't have that many flavors )-:

Came here on a Saturday evening. Ordered online for pickup but they have a few tables set up right outside (well spaced apart, available first-come first-serve) so ended up doing outdoor dining. We basically never go to vegan restaurants so weren't sure how it'd be but we had a surprisingly pleasant experience at Taco Party. Tried a couple of the tacos (Jackfruit Tinga, Lentils Al Pastor), a seitan chorizo torta, and nachos. The food was very well-prepared and of good quality. The texture of the jackfruit was good, as was the seitan. Everything tasted pretty good too, just a bit on the bland side. Wish the jackfruit was seasoned more; the seitan patty was a little too salty but otherwise not spiced. The sunflower seed cheese on the nachos was okay, but not great. It would've helped if the nachos had some more toppings like tomato, avocado, cilantro, and fresh jalapeños instead of pickled ones; caramelized onions would be a nice addition too. My favorite part of the meal was the lentil taco - the al pastor sauce in it had a nice kick to it and the bits of grilled pineapple worked perfectly. We also tried the oat milk horchata cocktail and really enjoyed it. Very boozy! Overall, we were happy to try some interesting vegan options. Some more flavorful sauces and use of spices and fresh veggies would really elevate the food.

Put that in yer mouth and chew it!

Absolutely incredible tacos but the torta deserves praise too. Where have you ever seen a vegan torta? OK, where have you ever seen a vegan torta that was worth eating? I didn't get any pictures of mine because I couldn't wait to dig in. The food here rocks.

We tried 5 of the 6 tacos currently on the menu, and they were all delicious - and vegan.

This review is for delivery only!…read more I was in the mood for a black bean burger and this place came up. I had never heard of it before and the reviews were promising. We ordered the black bean burger, fries, a taco salad, a chicken Caesar salad, and the pumpkin mini Bundt cake. I was impressed by the time they took to properly package the food. And then I was really happy with the way it looked, but most of all, how it tasted! The burger was delicious- really hit the spot. The only modification I made was no guacamole. I love guacamole but not on burgers. And their fries reminded me of an old school burger drive up from my childhood. I hope next time I order, they have the pumpkin cake. My hubby enjoyed the salads. Next time, he'll be ordering an impossible burger to pair with them. If we're ever in the area, we'll stop by but I'm sure we'll get delivery before that!

Joseph made my visit five star x2…read more I only planned to stop in for a few smoothies for the family, yet I walked out seriously impressed. The food? Super fresh and full of flavor. What really stood out was the service. Joseph was just great. Friendly without being pushy, genuinely helpful, and clearly cared about the experience I was having. He gave solid recommendations, that I followed to the T. I ended up getting the Green Glow Up, Tropical Tonic, and Banana Berry smoothies, all refreshing. For my GrandBlessing, I ordered the chicken tenders with fries (they've got other sides too). I asked if we could swap the lemonade for an Honest Apple Juice, and Joseph didn't even blink, he simply made it happen. I couldn't leave without a few extras: Truffle Mac & Cheese, a piece of carrot cake, and a chocolate chip cookie. The order came to about $52, made easier with the 20% student discount (MPA perks, thank you very much). For plant-based food that's made fresh and actually tastes good, was worth every dollar. When I got back, everyone had compliments upon their tasting. Joseph, thank you. You made that quick stop into something I'll remember. I'll definitely be back before heading back home. To the Harvard grad who helped carry my GrandBlessing's stroller down the stairs: may Blessings follow you everywhere.

Probably in the state if I think about it. Legit cocktails. Very, very good food. Veg options. Creative and affordable mugs. An adjacent parking structure (the only one in Harvard Square). The place is unicorn material. I've been here maybe four times over several years. Shame on me for finishing this cumulative review now. The good news is every visit was solid. I've been here as a small and also large party. Sat at both the bar and table. Had reservations and also walked in. Visited in the summer and also winter. Weekends are tough to get in without a resy. It's tiny. And its Cambridge. Weekdays you'll be fine but reserve anyway. It's free. From bar to tables to booths, you're covered with seating. Can they serve a table for ten? Maybe but I wouldn't be that person. Check ahead of time. Drinks are strong. Sometimes sweet but mostly balanced. Food is yummy. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options clearly marked on the menu. Serving dishes and bowls are fun too: skulls/shells/etc. Enjoy this hidden secret. And don't steal the mugs. Buy them--they're so reasonable.
