When you arrive; you need to order what you want. While waiting in line, a waitress goes through the menu explaining how to do a 'make your own' or picking completed dinners. When the food arrives, which is pretty quick, it is hot, and fresh. Seating is first come first serve, and most customers like to sit outside. After reading many good reviews we decided to try Taco Mama on taco Tuesday and were a little disappointed. I ordered the Judge Burrito and it was fine but the street corn not good, chips were good but the salsa was on the small portion side. The rest of the group had chicken and they were not impressed especially for $7.50 a taco. Service is counter service like any fast food restaurant. The employees were friendly. The Ambiance was fine but a little too dark with the lighting and table and chairs not the most comfortable. Overall might go back but with other choices nearby I would probably choose Bell Burrito for better food. read more

The atmosphere here is great. They have an outdoor seating space and a cool indoor space. The food is by no means authentic, just your typical Mexican fair. You go up to the counter to order and then sit down and they'll bring you your food. The chicken tacos had chicken and then yellow cheddar cheese which is unusual for tacos. Been waiting for this one for a while. Happen to pass by and see they were open on my birthday and decided to stop in. As soon as you walk in you're greeted and the staff was friendly and helpful. The space is nice and they have a "sunroom" area that I hope opens up in nicer weather so a breeze comes in. But all in all we're here for the food. I ordered a build your own burrito which comes with chips, salsa, and a side. The salsa was tasty, I would like to see the chips seasoned with some salt and maybe some lime. Otherwise they are plain fried tortillas. Though the portion of chips is generous. The street corn side was also a decent amount and the cup was full but again was noticeably under seasoned so I had to add some salt from the table. Then the main event; the burrito. It's pretty fat but when I cut it in half there was maybe 2oz of meat inside. One half didn't have any meat at all. It was just full of rice and veggies. I mentioned it to an employee who was quick to have the burrito remade on the fly and brought out to me. The remake was much more balanced though as a trend, it was under seasoned. Had they been open for a few months I may have gave a much harsher score but considering everything it was a middle of the road experience with issues that can easily be corrected. The staff was nice enough that I would go back for that reason alone and possibly try the Tuesday margs. First time visiting. ordered the Hippi-fisherman burrito Basket. It was delivered cold. Sent it back and zero improvement. The burrito rap was just put on the grill but the contents were cold as my refrigerator temperature. Has me concerned about heath risk of ingested flounder and other ingredients. Food was good. Casual setting, great customer service. I had the chicken taco and my husband the steak. His was much better. But for $7.50 a lot of food I also ordered a frozen lime Margarit.. it was good too! It's not like authentic Mexican.. which we were expecting to not be, but food was cheap and staff super friendly. I had a great experience at Taco Mama. I stood in line a very short time and was greeted by a charming young man with all the right answers and I asked a lot of questions. He never lost his smile...an insiders trick to see what is coming next - all the right stuff. The order came out with the Mercedes margarita first. A drink made with Patron' tequila and their orange liquor. Yummy, on the rocks with salt. Then the main event - I had ordered custom steak tacos in meal form and crunchy. Perfect. Pricey but perfect. Best taco(s) I've had in a very long time in a restaurant in Georgia. Shells were hand fried, none of this "taco bell shells" for this girl. And the fillet steak taco meat was really quite good. Tender and spicy, just right. Shredded cheddar, onions (no cilantro) lettuce and olives and pico de gallo. Chips salsa, black beans rounded out this epic meal. I almost forgot I had a take out feel about it. No, I got to sit down and devour all this great food and drink. The drawbacks? The take-out feel of it and it was sorta pricey but like I said I was there to try their very best and in that they did not disappoint. All of their staff: the greeter at the door (a great touch), the young man that took my order, the server that served my marg and tacos and the young lady that cleared my place...bravo! With a smile. Food is absolutely amazing but they have to figure out a way to speed up the line. You order at the counter and due to the massive menu and usually only one person taking orders the line is always out the door. Very slow getting in the joint. It also throws a wrench if you're meeting people as they won't allow ordering, other than drinks, from the table. They need to figure this out because I doubt people will be waiting outside once summer hits. Other than that the food is great! read more

Decent food, good drinks. I've seen several reviews say they're dog friendly and Apple Maps says they're dog friendly. Unfortunately they are not. We found out after bringing our dog that what they really are is service animal friendly only. read more

The staff were super friendly and helpful in understanding the menu. I had the shrimp burrito and it was delicious. When you order you pick your own toppings no up charge. The Burrito had eight medium size shrimp and it was filling. I will definitely be back!! read more

I'm not one to leave reviews, but the new Newnan location is outstanding. They accidentally gave me a burrito bowl instead of a burrito, noticed it right away, and came over to apologize. They immediately made it right and even gave me a free burrito. The free food was nice, but what really stood out was the service and attitude. That's how you earn loyal customers. A+. read more
