Chips were delicious but a bit oily. Very white and thin. Salsa was a bit disappointing. They have two, one cold that's slightly spicy and not made in house, and one that's warm and mild that might be made in house. Neither hit the mark for me. Went here after shopping at Walmart. I went here with my kids as we were on a long road trip back to Atlanta from Georgia. The parking lot was full and there was a crowd inside the restaurant making for a vibrant ambiance. Despite this, we were seated, quickly. The gentleman that was our server was very quick and efficient. I had the Southern Tacos and they were delicious. My kids were very pleased with their dishes as they took the leftovers home and finished them off the next day. The empanadas were good but the experience went downhill from there fast. The service was horrible. Had to get up and ask for assistance two times and found the waitress sitting at the bar talking. Two of the three meals had to get sent back due to poor quality. The hard tacos were cold and bottom soggy so ingredients were falling out. The service at the bar is always good. They greet you as soon as you sit down and check on you throughout your visit. I ordered the chicken soup. It was only ok to me. It lacked seasoning in my opinion. Chicken soup is my favorite and I order it every time I visit a Mexican restaurant. The meet wasn't as tender and I can tell they didn't slow cook it very long. I've driven by La Hacienda for years, but never stopped as I am a loyalist to another local spot, but on a recent trip to Walmart, I figured why not...well, I got the answer to that question. The space is large, colorful and lively. A solid vibe with plentiful space, a nice bar and a great patio...and that is where the impressiveness stops sadly. Food - We started out with queso. Bland, and a small queso is $7.50! For dinner we went the Birria route with Birria tacos and Birria quesadilla. The meat was lacking and tasted more like bland pot roast than Birria. Sadly even the consommé was watery and lacking depth. Lastly, we didn't get our full order, as we asked for rice on the side and it never came. We never followed up as we assumed the delay in getting it would be too much. This in addition to our food clearly sitting in the back for a bit before being brought out made for a less than enjoyable meal. In addition to the food, the service was atrocious. I can excuse slow service when places are busy, but slow and inattentive service is not acceptable. Our visit lasted close to two hours and most of that was due to lack of service. We waited close to 10 minutes for our initial server visit, another 10 for our cocktails and legit 30 minutes for our food. I had high hopes for this place, but they were not met on any level. The space is really great, but having a great space can't replace the need for better food and decent service. I do appreciate the forethought of our server who applied a discount proactively and acknowledged the delay. It was a nice gesture, but the experience had soured by then. Overall, not a fan. Will return to my other local spot and ask for forgiveness for stepping out on them. read more

Decided to come here for my mother-in-law 70th birthday. We sat at the bar and Ben took care of us. It was a pretty low key and dope vibe going on. We ordered drinks and enjoyed the live music from the band. The only head scratcher was the fact that Casamigos Reposado shots were $15 each. I've been to various restaurants and never encountered Casamigos (out of all tequilas) that steep in price.The food was good and full of flavor with the drinks to top it off perfectly. Food here is pretty good. It's your typical Mexican joint. It's cute inside but the music is pretty loud. The waiters are hit or miss here. I just tallied it up. On the "FromTheRestaurant" app La Hacienda uses to order takeout with them, it says that we have eaten here approximately 12 times spending over $700 in the span of a year. And after yesterday, we will NOT eat there anymore. To boil it down, the two issues we've run into are 1) Service and 2) Cost Of the 12 times we've eaten there, 11 were takeout and almost everytime we've ordered takeout there's been an issue of the varieties below: - Missing entree - Missing appetizer - Food isn't ready at given time - Food isn't ready at given time and staff has attitude for us asking when it'll be ready - Order not put into system, despite us ordering online - Unkind To-Go Staff Secondly, the prices have increased! When we started ordering from here a year ago, we'd always order the same thing, two "House Specials" with a large Queso. The House Special came with chicken, shrimp and steak, and our total was always $55.42. Out of nowhere, six months later they tell us we have to now pick a protein (instead of getting all three) and the our total price went to $62.17 with LESS FOOD! Can someone please explain to me how in the world that makes any sense. At some time, enough is enough. For the life of me I cannot understand why restaurants in this area want to cover burritos with sauce and queso dip. If you research the origin of the burrito it was invented for mobility. It was a food that was easy to hold and transport. This would be impossible if it was covered is sauce! Being from Southern California, this bothers me to my core. Now I purposely ask how the burrito comes. I was told (of course) that it is covered in sauce and cheese. I asked for it to not be covered in anything, but when our food came out, it was completely covered in drippy queso dip. So much, that is was running off the plate onto the table and floor. This is not the only reason for the 1 star review. We waited over a half hour for our food while others who came after us received their orders before us. We were literally getting up to leave when our food came out. I sent mine back because of the queso dip and was turned off by both the wait time, and the incorrect order. Haven't been here in a year or two and I was severely disappointed. The prices are through the roof. I know inflation is high but they are charging $20 for an entree at lunch. We spent over $80 for four two adults and two kids. We only got fountain drinks and no appetizers or anything but our Entrees. This place was DEAD on a Sunday around 2pm. The service was subpar, and the waitress was not attentive to the table (there were only like 3 other tables). She was too busy playing on her phone and reading a book. The cheese dip was real thick with clumps of cheese, which was 11.50. Guacamole was in a small cup for 8.50. I just don't know how people afford going out to eat! The chips were so good, very thin and crispy. The salsa was yummy, they gave us both hot and mild. We mixed them with excellent results. The queso dip is white and thin, exactly how I love it. Our entrees were just so so. They give you a huge portion size, but the flavors missed the mark. My quesadilla was so huge, but the cheese was not even melted. So strange.
