Avocado tacos with guac & queso
    Kandus J.

Great spot in the square with a fun atmosphere & delicious food! The vegetarian avocado tacos are so freaking incredible!! The service was very exceptional as well. Free parking lot over on the side which is awesome to have! I wish this location were closer to my house but anytime I'm in the area, I know what I'm hitting!

This place is amazing. The food was so good. For a place named after tacos they sure pull it off. Our server Tristen was very kind and attentive. Some of the best service I've had in a while. I really like the jail cells they have for a private eating experience. They even have personal tvs.

I passed by here dozens of times and today I decided to give it a try. The salsa and chips were good. The chips were fresh and the salsa had a nice flavor too. The queso dip with the jalapeños on the side was great. I ordered 2 Baja tacos with refried beans. The tacos were very tasty and filling. My husband ordered Steak Fajitas and it was good as well. He said that's the most tender fajita he's ever had. Now the waiter must've had something on his mind because he forgot our order of queso dip, which it looked as though he was writing it down. After several minutes my husband asked him about the dip and he looked at his pad and said that he must not have heard that. While taking my order I told him that I wanted 2 tacos, while holding up 2 fingers. He then asked me how many did I want and I repeated 2. Overall, I will definitely go back.

This chicken tortilla soup was delicious! Very flavorful and full of chicken. I had a strawberry Texas Margarita. It was sweet but strong! Our server was great. He was attentive to our needs. The music was great. It was a Sunday so not a lot of people were there.

    Chicken tinga and Cuban tacos.

We ordered takeouts and it was so nice to have dinner at our vacation home since we were on the go after arriving in the area. We ordered everything online and it was a smooth process. Each item was able to be customized to how we wanted it. I got the Cuban taco without the plantains and it came with black beans, rice, mojo sauce, and cilantro. The chicken tinga taco came with crema fresca and guacamole. I loved both of the tacos and it was really flavorful. I probably should have ordered a margarita to go as well after reading some of the reviews now...lol! I can't speak for the service since we didn't eat there, but after seeing some of the pictures of the jail cell tables, I wished we did. The place looks fun and hopefully we can try them when we're in the area again. Everything was packaged very well and it came with plenty of silverware.

Great margaritas. Cute themed booths that look like little jail cells. Would be fun to take the kids. Staff was really friendly. Tacos were great. We sat at the back bar maybe 30 mins before close, and they didn't rush us or make us feel like we were a burden like other places. Will be back.

On a summer outing, I visited this popular joint for lunch. While Twisted Taco has proven to be a sound refuge as an evening spot, the place can disconcert me, depending upon my mood. I've seen other customers shoot glances over their shoulders. With its enormous dining rooms and Old West-style booths designed like prison cells, let me say that the affair can give my insides a stir. The two Treasures of the Sierra Madre (soft tacos) I ate with French fries were definitely enjoyable -- a tasty, not-the-healthiest meal. And this writer drank an iced tea, with lemon or lime slices as almost always. The Treasure has small, breaded fried chicken pieces coated with shredded cheese and a fair amount of lettuce. And the fries? Soft. Pleasing. Plentiful. At the time, this small hill of spuds substituted for the usual side of black beans and Spanish rice (the latter isn't even part of the deal anymore). How to wrap this up? If the great variety of tacos offered aren't your thing, I'll attest that the 2 different loaded quesadillas I have had there practically dissolved in my mouth. The Wi-Fi is typically iffy, however, I've never found fault with service after my order was placed. The wait staff will keep those bowls of salsa coming. Add in some pop radio backing music, and this is TT: the good, the bad and the occasionally odd. I'll be back again for sure.

We enjoyed their homemade chips and salsa while having our beverages and waiting for our food. I didn't have any alcoholic drinks so I can't comment on them but the selections on the menu sounded delicious. The chips were light with a nice crunch just the way I like it. My friends commented the spicy and mild salsa were flavorful. I ordered the Steak and Shrimp Fajita which came out sizzling hot and tasty - seasoned well. I substituted rice for fries and a traditional salad - no guacamole or pico de gallo. My friend's Pineapple Fajita was not only cool looking but also tasty from the few bites I tried. Our other friend enjoyed his steak tacos. Overall it was a great experience. I unfortunately forgot our server's name who was extremely nice. When I went with my husband we ordered the guacamole as an appetizer and we got the pollo a la crema and steak a la Mexicana. Both dishes were good although the chicken (pollo) dish was really heavy on the sour cream taste which I didn't care for but still ate and it took the rest home as well. The steak had plenty of great cuts of steak and veggies to go along with it. Only issue I had was with the guacamole appetizer, we had to literally make the guacamole ourselves. The server brought out all the ingredients on a plate and said enjoy! It was strange to us that had to do it ourselves but we did it and still enjoyed it. I think the quality of food is great as well as the service. The second time we went (husband) we got shrimp tacos with corn tortillas and the tortillas were very very greasy so I wouldn't get those again. Chips and salsa is good as well. The time with the group setting we had great service as well. Food was great, I got chicken and steak fajitas and again great taste. I know my friends got alcoholic drinks they loved them but did say they were really strong. Great place to go and get Mexican in the area and it being pretty authentic.

My only wish is that they introduce horchata to the menu, not sure if they didn't have it the day we visited or if it's not offered at all but I feel it would be very fitting and cohesive with the menu. Food is flavorful and portions are great, their refried beans are also out of this world. Definitely recommend! We visited during the day on a weekday so it was a bit slow but I'd imagine it's an even more lively and fun atmosphere at night.

Now, why didn't anyone tell me about Frida's?…read more I came here for Cinco de Mayo, my favorite holiday in the entire world -- and they did not disappoint. I was a little nervous about the crowds, but my party slid in right before things got wild and got seated immediately. The service? Outstanding. I still don't know how the staff kept up, but our server never missed a beat. The music was a whole vibe, the DJ was on point, and the playlist kept the energy high all night. I ordered the Shrimp Bowl and WOW. I'd come back just for that. Usually, I need extra protein, but the standard portion here is no joke. You will not leave hungry. And the tableside guac? Hands down the best I've ever had, chunky, fresh, and those tomatoes and onions were everything. Now let's talk about the margaritas. Listennnnn. We had no idea how big a 32oz really was until it hit us. We thought we were going bar hopping afterward... absolutely not. I'd 100% come back. Thank you, Frida's, for such a great experience.

They do offer 12 oz house margaritas at half off from 5-7 PM on Sundays, which is a nice option. The space is large with plenty of seating, including a separate bar area. It has a tropical feel throughout and works well for both groups and casual dining. Everything was clean, and the atmosphere felt relaxed but lively. Kicked it off with their soft serve margarita, refreshing and smooth, and definitely something I'd order again. Their drinks menu is wide offering something for everyone. For appetizers, we started with the Eagles Landing dip, a mix of shrimp, steak, and chicken. It's creamy, cheesy, and easy to share. While they offer flour tortillas, I'd recommend going with the corn for a better balance. The BBQ wings were actually really good, not oversized, well-seasoned all the way through, and saucy without being messy. For mains, we ordered the whole fried mojarra and the pollo tequila. The fish was a good size, crispy on the outside, and fresh and meaty inside. The pollo tequila was juicy and flavorful with shrimp, roasted corn, and poblano. The only thing I'd tweak is the rice, it was a bit soft and could use more seasoning. For dessert, the tres leches cake is a must, light, soaked just right, and full of flavor. Definitely worth the calories. Service was smooth from start to finish. Our server, Arely, was attentive and made sure everything flowed well without feeling rushed. Overall, it was a good experience. I'd come back during the week to check out their lunch specials and happy hour. Table Approved. Shallonztable

Based on the food pictures and first three reviews, I was sold. I had to go. As Rose's Tacos is right in Downtown Fayetteville it was super easy to find and there was ample parking. As it was a Saturday night, the natural flow of the block added to the vibrant vibe that was coming out of Rose's Tacos as the e door opened and closed. I was already excited before even walking inside. Once inside, the sign advised us to seat ourselves so we sat at the bar. Rose's Tacos is super vibrant, very bright, and has an ambiance that fits date night as well as family night. No matter the tone you are looking to fit, Rose's Tacos is a win. Deciding to sit at the bar, we walked in, headed to our left and took a seat. Once at the bar, the bartender greeted us with a smile, welcomed us to Rose's Tacos, and provided us with menus. Rose's Tacos has a broad selection of food. Though it is a Mexican restaurant, there are a few American favorites on the menu. LoL!!! After taking a moment going back and forth on what I wanted as there were sooooooo many appealing options, I decided on a Steak Burrito with Fries and a Sweet Tea. Simple yet intricate. As we waited, the bartender delivered the complimentary Chips and Salsa and they set the tone for my tongue-readiness. LoL! The chips were crunchy and fresh. Not too salty yet salty enough. The salsa was flavorful and smooth with the right amount of chunkiness. Oh yes, Rose's Tacos understands the importance of a good Chip and Salsa to set the food tone. Once my food was ready and I could see the waitress walking it over, I felt my stomach smile. Haha!!! The playing was simple yet pretty and the food smelled amazing. The scents alone captured the attention of my taste buds and forced them to pay attention to what was on my plate. The Steak Burrito was filled with fresh ingredients, robust flavors, and perfectly done meat. The meat to fixins ratio was spot on and the grilled-ness of the shell married everything together so well. I'm talking Burrito perfection. The fries were well done just as I had requested and were golden brown, perfectly salted, and paired perfectly with the burrito. I mean geesh. What a better way to end a Friday night then with a great meal from Rose's Tacos! All is all, my experience at Rose's Tacos was stellar. From the service to the ambiance to the establishment itself. It was clean, customer focused, and inviting. I will definitely be back. Oh yeah, and the Sweat Tea... Yes Ma'ammmmmmmmmm. Whoever made that sweet tea knew I was coming because it was Southern Perfection.
