The service is fast and friendly: all staff that we encountered were very pleasant and accommodating. I had the combo with 2 street tacos, rice and beans. The portions were so large that I ended up taking half the meal with me. The prices are reasonable as well. I'm only traveling through and the next I find myself in the area, then I will definitely eat here again. read more

Passed by this location several times before actually stopping in. Upon entering the place looks and smells clean which is always a plus. The host was nice and our waitress was cheerful. The chips and salsa as well as drinks came out fast. The house margarita was really weak, almost like a lemonade (had to get another shot). This was the most basic food I've ever had. I can't believe they are calling it Mexican! This is NOT Mexican! Let's start with the salsa.. tastes like Pace salsa from the jar at your local Kroger. I ordered the guacamole to even it out and that was made with white onions .. and also very bland. The chips were good but they tasted like the brown bag from the grocery store. I ordered the steak "mexi- tacos" and the steak was super bland, maybe they used a little salt but that's about it. My tortilla was hard though. The pico de gallo tasted like it was from Publix. (Which is down the street from the restaurant) lol. I pretty much drenched the taco in Tapatio to give it some flavor. My partner ordered the beef tostadas and it had way too much cheese and lettuce with a big glob of sour cream, which i might add tasted like the cheap Food Depot brand. I got a side of rice in which the waitress told me it was Mexican "fried rice". That was nasty. Not Mexican and just plane ole disgusting. Kind of reminded me of day old Zatarans. For drinks we ordered a Coke and Sprite and it literally had a sour after taste to it we ended up getting the glass bottle Coke and a Jarritos. Taco Tuesday. Found this place on Google maps and decided to give them a try. It looks like a hole in the wall spot and my boyfriend and I were a little skeptical, lol, but we went in anyway. There was a family in front of us and then we were seated. We sat in a booth and I located a couple menus to use rather than our phones. I ordered a mango Texas margarita and he ordered a peach Texas margarita. Both were delicious and if I had reviewed the menu I would've suggested ordering a pitcher. They had quite a few veggie options and I asked for veggie tacos and a side of black beans while my bf got salmon tacos. The chips weren't that good but the salsa was and had a little kick to it. My veggie tacos were loaded with veggie and I appreciated that. I thoroughly enjoyed em. Beans were good. I tasted the salmon and it had a nice char to it. My bf enjoyed his tacos and said they were flavorful. The staff sang happy birthday to me with dessert nachos which were good and not overly sweet. I came here from a Google suggestion because the Mexican restaurant I usually go to was closed. I was greeted upon entry and my to go order was placed right away. Very friendly server she was so nice. It wasn't crowded inside when I first arrived but many more people arrived while I was waiting for my order. The server brought my food to my car and said Happy New Years. I thanked her and drove off but the food smelled so good I had to open the chips and salsa. The chips were still warm and the salsa was fresh and not spicy at all. The enchiladas were ok. I would have liked more verde sauce and a little spice. My favorite was the refried beans. Sooo this place was recently closed for renovation and recently have opened back up for business. Honestly I didn't know if I was in an Italian place or Mexican. It's a typical Tex mex spot featuring your fajitas, quesadilla, nachos and queso blanco. We came on a Tuesday night not too busy. Parking is spacious and drinks vary from your giant margarita to sangria. Our server was great. Food came out fast. I ordered the Texas fajitas and my husband the chicken. Overall it's a great spot for neighborhood "Tex-mex" food. If you're craving it it's definitely there. The pica pica salsa is super spicy! Also sangria was good. I got enough food for 2 but I ordered a single. The only thing they don't give you with fajitas is a scoop of guacamole. read more

Rico's has been my local go-to place for mexican food for years. Unfortunately, my last visit will indeed be my LAST. The food was downright awful. The meat in my burrito tasted spoiled/rotten. The rice was even worse. I spit it back out after the first bite, and left the whole plate sitting there. It was inedible. No idea if they've changed managers, cooks or something else. Been here twice and never impressed. Simply because this place seems to be a "Cheers" type restaurant. My first time going a friend wanted to try this place out. We go and never had a waiter/waitress look our way. There was a big party and 2 tables with customers including mine. Idk if they saw me scoot to get out the booth but that's when they decided to pay us some attention (10 min or more later). The second time was a little better but our waiter kept disappearing and the waitress seemed to pick up his slack. The food is the typical and the margaritas are nice and strong. Ricos is one of the better Mexican restaurants in the Stockbridge-Ellenwood areas, especially in terms of their prices. And on some weekends, they have live music. I got the chicken nachos supreme today ($8 for half order) with chicken, delicious cheese, lettuce, and sour cream. Nothing fancy, but tasteful. I also tried their bean dip, which was okay. Parking is free and plentiful. Service has always been good. Definitely my go to Mexican place when I'm in the area! read more

Me and my fiance came into the Restaurant. The young lady told us to give her a minute to seat. She sat us right next to the A/C.. I felt a breeze, it was cold. Mind you, me and my fiance are black. Next customer was a white male. He was asked would he like the bar or a booth. Never ask us about the bar. Then on top of that a white couple comes in and was automatically sat in a booth away from the A/C. When I looked around the corner all the booths were vacant and we could have been sitting there the whole time... The waiters were respectful but the Lobbyist could have seated us better. Well I come from a place were there are many Mexicans and Mexican food. For the area and clientele - this place works. But for an authentic taste of Mexico I have to find a spot. Prices were a bit high too. I had the carnitas and tamales. The carnitas were okay. I got maybe 6 pieces of small chunks of meat which was disappointing. But the biggest disappointment was the tamales which were mostly corn! There was what seemed to be almost no chicken in them. They were flavorless and dry. The margaritas were awesome! The food was decent, nothing remarkable, however I have never been treated so rudely at a restaurant. We had a group of ten, plus my two infants. The server was surly to put it politely. When we hunted him down to ask for a to go cup for our one year olds he returned and slammed the cup down without a word. Come check out time we had to hunt the guy down again after not seeing him for about half an hour. Very simple interior and friendly employees; however, this is where the pleasantries end. We dined at Rico's in 2005 and found it unworthy of a return visit. Because there are plenty of cars in the lot, in 2013 we decided to return in the hope that the food improved. Our table ordered salmon tacos, steak and chicken fajitas, and cheese nachos. The salmon was beyond dry, and the steak and chicken were absolutely flavorless. The nachos were fine--then again, how hard is it to please a 12 year old? Our waitress did abandon our table for a large beer-drinking party that would, no doubt, offer a larger tip. We called over a replacement waiter who was very friendly, and we did not skimp on his tip. When the cashier asked if we enjoyed our meal, I told her the truth. Curbside pickup isn't curbside pickup. After waiting 10 minutes in designated spot, went in to get our order. Didn't get what we ordered. It was cold after the 5 minutes drive home. They gave us only 1 order of chips with 2 dinners. We called and they wouldn't make it right and we're very rude. We're never going back. We do not recommend this place. We give it 0 stars.
