I have been at ranchero I would say it's my favorite Mexican restaurant in the Stockbridge area ! I used to live close in the past and this restaurant was for me the best now ! Im planning to go back and get the fajitas they have and i remember the margaritas especially the Texas one wa my favorite! I would recommended no doubt . Go and try it and see how I like it right !! read more

i've never had a bad experience at ranchero and I've been coming here for years. The food is always really really good and very very hot and the service is quick. I normally stick to what I know and get a chicken quesadilla or a chorizo quesadilla and my son gets the same. My sister gets the combo plate. They have new soft, serve margaritas, and they are phenomenal. I have to start coming here every week to get one and then I will have to switch it up between one flavor or mixing them both, but they are really delightful. I have never visited the bathroom, but my son does every time we go and I haven't heard any complaint. read more

So, I chose this spot trying to introduce my little brother to a new spot. I placed my order for the Queso Faja Quesadilla. As i set up everything and began eating, I noticed a baby roach crawling alongside my plate. The waiter came and took my plate. The manager comped my food. In addition, he came by to say the exterminator would arrive the next morning. This was unacceptable meaning there we we were other bugs if this was the baby. The ceiling has a plug hanging from it. The tiles in the ceiling are dirty and worn as if they've had a water leaks. The FDA should stop by this spot. read more

THEY FOLLOW YOU TO CAR IF THEY THINK YOUR ABOUT TO LEAVE AND NOT PAY! I've come here for about two or three years with my coworkers or family and this time I was profiled because he, the waiter, thought I wasn't going to pay. I have a had food that was average, and today's adult beverages did what needed to be done. They are attentive to what you need. They may take a minute to come back, but today's visit floored me. I asked him his reasoning and he said people leave without paying. I know it's true, but I'm good on this place for awhile. We did find a remote to the tv and played our own music in the back section because we had a large party. The atmosphere is cool other than that as far as Mexican restaurants. Hopefully y'all have a better time than me. read more

The food was excellent! The drinks were great! The service was horrible. Our waiter was slow taking our orders. When we finished our food and drinks, we decided to get another round of drinks. Our waiter had disappeared!! We tried to get the attention of another waiter but he just kept ignoring us. We finally gave up on getting more drinks and finally got the check 30 min later. The food was really good so I'll definitely give them a try again. Hopefully the service will be better. read more

If you are needing a neighborhood Mexican spot in Stockbridge - THIS IS IT! The staff was great, the food was great and the drinks were strong! I sat with a large party of nearly 10 or more people and no one felt underserved. We were granted our asks quickly. The grill chicken chimichanga meal I had stood apart from other restaurants because I don't recall being able to have preference of how my chicken was prepared. I like that a lot! There's no frills or fancies about this spot, there's not a huge amount of parking as they share a lot with a strip of other business and the restaurant/establishment can be considered a little worn in certain areas, but all in all I would go back. read more

Absolutely amazing Mexican food. I had chicken fajita nachos to go. As I waited I saw the bartender make a drink that looked magnificent, fresh squeezed lime juice, generous portion. As he took it to the patio, I asked what was it and he replied "Margarita" What? No pre-made mix??? I am dining in on my next visit. The ambiance was authentic looking decor with Latin music playing lending to a nice atmosphere read more

Hidden gem that you don't want to miss! We were driving through town and decided to stop at this little hole in the wall at the end of a small shopping strip but were pleasantly surprised by how bustling and fun it is inside!!! While there appeared to be only 2 employees working the front of the house, they were busting butt to make sure everyone was well taken care of, from the bar to the cash register and service! Santos was one of them but we didn't get the name of the woman serving. Both were friendly and upbeat. Our food was so good - nothing extreme or special, just good Mexican cuisine at a reasonable price. The place is decorated in bright colors and is warm and welcoming. Definitely stop in and give them a try if you're in the area! read more

Do not purchase a Margarita or any tequila for that matter. They pour the tequila in front of you from a Patron bottle. Beware: it's not Patron. It's bottom shelf, rock-gut liquor. Anyway, the drink was horrible & sipped it about 3 times thinking it was me but, it wasn't & I couldn't finish it. Their practice of switching the tequila is deceptive. I would think most people know that you don't use top shelf tequila in Margaritas. For this reason I'll never go back there & it's not a place I'd recommend. Oh, the service was terrible. read more

I'm torn between 3 and 4 stars. I've been here several times and I've always had good food and good service. The shrimp fajitas are the best that I've had! The shrimp are huge! Their stuffed burritos are also really good. The margaritas are strong, tasty, and very reasonable. The half pitcher is the way to go! My only complaint is that they don't make their margaritas freshly-made. if you ask for a Texas margarita they say they use 1800 and Grand Marnier, but it's already pre-made and poured in all of these small jugs. Overall, a good place for reasonable and tasty Mexican food with decent drinks. You have to just get past watching them poor your Texas margarita out of what looks like a cleaning container.. read more

We came here on a Friday evening. We come here pretty often but this time around we were kinda disappointed. On a busy night our server was not attentive to us. Parking is limited in the plaza. We sat down and it took about 10 minutes just for the server to approach our table with an incomplete drink order. Menu offered a large selection. Different variety of typical Tex mex food. I got the Molcajete poblano and my husband got the chicken fajitas. The food was good my molcajete was so hot the food burned towards the bottom. We had to ask for the rest of the condiments for our table and our server was else where but our table. Drinks here are good and not so bad with prices. We came at 7:30pm and didn't leave until 10 due to delay of services and trying to pay for our tab. Definitely a disappointment in customer service read more

Food is great! I've loved everything I've eaten there. The Texas margaritas used to be what kept us coming back but my last 2 visits I've noticed they've weakened the recipe. The margarita used to be STRONG & flavorful, not anymore. They raised the price of the margarita but they took out some of the flavor & definitely a lot of the alcohol. I used to feel a buzz off of one drink, now nada! We may still go back for the food & atmosphere but save our money on the drinks. Service is always great! read more

I've eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. Food is delicious and staff is friendly with great service.

I used to be a fan of this place but not anymore. I'm not a drinker so when I visit the Mexican restaurants, I'm going for the love of the cuisine. One day during mid week, my daughter and I came for lunch after school. When I didn't order a drink, the waitress immediately seemed like he was ticked off. I over looked that....but when my food came out, it was nasty, had a slight burnt to it, and just did not taste good. Luckily, I was able to order something else that was half way pleasing. Instead of making a big deal out of it, I paid for the tab and left. They never got my business again. Before that day, I had ate there several times with family, large parties, during their busy time, etc. I personally feel that my food was nasty because I didn't order an alcoholic drink. read more

Ok, first off, we sat down and "Boom" we had immediate service. Salsa, chips and menus. Salsa was alittle bland for us, alittle salt helped it. So far, this establishment is off to a descent start. Wait...what is that I see?!?! Duck tape over the fire alarm/detector?!?! WOW. Hummmm. I'm thinking they did this because of the smoke and steam that comes off of the fajitas??? Still not right. This place needs checked out by the fire marshal. We ordered the chicken and shrimp fajitas for one person. As we figured, they are a big portion. We both shared one meal. The flour shells were very chewy. The onions were burnt, the shrimp were overcooked. The chicken was ok. Service was excellent. That's why it's 3 star. read more

This is my second review here. I come a lot here die to being so close home but lately it has become a hassle. DEMETRIO service is a piece of cräp. Very rude all the time, dont greet you, throws your plate on the table, doesn't check to see if i need anything else etc. In conclusion, carnitas are good, guacamoles is 4/10, DEMETRIO is a dck! Not coming back here anymore. Sad but true!! read more

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE THEY TURNED ME AWAY because my emotional support dog was in my carry bag zipped up. He couldn't even explain to me why i couldn't bring my dog inside that was zipped up in the bag. He blamed it on the pandemic which is kind of absurd being that NOONE has a mask on & every one is sitting very close to each other.. NOT EVEN ONE TABLE OVER . no one washed their hands here . I seen one employee picking his nose and proceeded to retrieve a customer drink VERY UNSANITARY read more

Doesn't look like much from outside but it's actually pretty nice on the inside great atmosphere and amazing food. I was craving Mexican food after work today Ranchero Mexican restaurant definitely satisfy my craving. I had a wet burrito with beef and green sauce on top the burrito was incredible. Their guac is fresh and is the perfect mix between slightly chunky and smooth. Amazing fresh salsas as well and how could I forget that perfectly made screwdriver. I ate here recently for the first time takeout. I came here because of the great reviews and plus I was mad craving some chips and queso. They did not disappoint! I had shrimp and chicken fajitas with rice and beans and also ordered some queso. I called it in and only waited about 5 minutes when I got there. The guys at the front greeted me with a friendly Hola. They had on face coverings as well. There were patrons at the bar and also seated at booths . I took my full bag home and was very pleased . They had a container of sour cream, guac, and sala as well as 3 containers of red sauce I guess for the chips. The fajitas and everything were delicious. They also gave me a huge bag of tortilla chips which I enjoyed with my queso which was also very good. I have to eat in next time I go so I can have one of their amazing looking drinks! read more

Small business that would be easy to miss but that would be a mistake. Best Mexican food we have had maybe ever. Large selection. Friendly. Clean. I never eat beef at any Mexican restaurant because it's usually greasy. Not at this one. Flavor filled meats, delicious white cheese dip(not the cheap kind), only guacamole I've ever liked and even the beans have a depth of flavor unlike any other Mexican restaurant. Now who spends extra effort on the beans? They do. Lunch portions are just right. The price is reasonable and my pickiest friend thinks the food is amazing. So do I. read more

I love this place! I love the food and the drinks are always strong! I'm never disappointed here! The staff is friendly and makes you feel at home. Service can be a little slow if they are busy but they work as a team/family so it doesn't bother me that much. They remember their regulars and are always down to give you a good laugh. The decor could use an upgrade and the outside area is very small... maybe 3-4 table capacity. I haven't tried their authentic Mexican meals meals but if they are like their commercial dishes you won't be disappoint! read more

Sorry, those that felt they had lousy, rude service - did not happen to me whatsoever. Talked with 3-4 employees and all were extremely friendly and in watching them, fast, efficient and plain good at what they do. I enjoyed them, they added to the experience. Lots of good booze to pick from. Bartenders were meticulous & not thrifty with the good stuff (ate ate the bar). Chips were good but close to a tad old. Salsa started out unimpressive but got quite good as I dug in to it, and an ice cold Dos Equis. Went with a special, chicken strips in a darn good mushroom & onion gravy. Type of thing that I usually don't not order. It was very good. Refried beans in lieu of rice was perfect with it. Had a great time at the bar - plenty of happy conversation, which is a big part of life, aint it?! read more

I eat here all the time and love the food and the margaritas. It's become a neighborhood spot for many of the residents in the area that just want a good meal and good drink while they unwind. The only problem is some nights they get overwhelmed by the increase in patronage and you may have to wait a while to get seated. read more
