Was looking for a low-key place to get some food and drinks on a Friday evening and stopped here. There are a lot of Taco Macs around the city and I was interested to see what it's like. For a Friday night it really wasn't that busy but I'm not complaining about that. It wasn't too noisy, we were able to be seated right away and there are lots of tv's so you can watch any game that is on. We sat at the bar and the bartender, Stephon, was very attentive and friendly. I had a rum punch and we also ordered a grilled chicken wrap and fries. Pretty standard Taco Mac here. Parking is not your friend though although there is a parking deck. If you're doing takeout, they do have 2 reserved places for takeout out front. I like that you can do online ordering for takeout. But the draft beer selection is hard to beat! They have some standards year round but also have some rotating taps that are great. Bartenders are REALLY knowledgeable about beer which is cool. They have a decent sized patio but smallish bar. Plenty of TVs to catch whatever you want. Nice they opened on thanksgiving this year! Wings are the go to here not tacos as the name implies. The hot isn't too hot - may want to one up that if you're looking for spicy. But there's plenty of not spicy options too. A great place for wings and good beer options. Tonight I stopped in to have dinner with a friend from out of town. I suggested a spot because their wings are always delicious! When I arrive it's at the hostess a while to figure out which server would not be overwhelmed to accommodate my party of 3 1/2. One see that we had great service. The only hiccup in the process was that our orders kind of were mixed up, ranch dressing mixed up for blue cheese, extra sauce mixed up with the wrong wings etc. Not the end of the world! All in all it was a good evening. It's unfortunate that they were short staffed and they were doing the best they could. Because of that I'll be back! I hate to leave bad reviews, but this one, unfortunately, is completely warranted. First, it's important to mention that the restaurant was maybe 20% full on a Tuesday night. We placed a simple order for wings which was completely botched. We sent it back to be corrected and waited over 20 minutes for the corrected wings to arrive at our table. The server apologized profusely and said that the kitchen was completely backed up. The manager came by to check on us and we let them know what was going on, and he went back to the kitchen and never returned. Once we finally got our food, we were beyond ready to go. We somewhat expected that they might discount our meal but that did not happen (and we didn't ask). The other part of the story is that we were at their other location at The Prado in Sandy Springs a month ago and our experience there was also lousy. We've been to Taco Mac dozens of times over the years. We've never been wowed by the service but it was tolerable. Never again - something is definitely broken. Sad. read more

Terrible service for decent food (decent food is the only reason it got 2 stars). I had to ask for silverware. My food took so long to come when it was not even busy, I can't imagine how slow service would be on a busy weekend. The server did not pass by to checkin other than bringing the food or drinks I had to hound them down. My to-go salad order came out wrong TWICE and the manager didn't even apologize just told me I ordered a small, not a large. I didn't care about the price difference just wanted my salad the way I requested. I told the server 4 times grilled shrimp and they kept bringing me grilled chicken. Never again. I want to thank our server Heaven and the manager Reggie for taking care of me and my party. Before coming to Taco Mac we had just had the worst dining experience at another dining establishment in the area where we waited for almost 2 hours with no food. Heaven allowed us to vent our frustrations and was very patient with us going off on tangents. Heaven and Reggie really turned our night around. Even when the incorrect wings were delivered to my mom, Heaven and Reggie quickly rectified the situation. I have been going to Taco Mac for over a decade, and don't think I have every written a review. However, Heaven and Reggie deserve to be acknowledge and thanked for going above and beyond to improve our evening, which was at no fault of them or their establishment. Needless to say the name can confusing if you're not familiar with the chain but "Taco Mac" is a sports bar that is known for their wings and beer selection. We arrived late after 10:30pm on Monday evening and were still able to get some food. The beer selection was amazing. Over 100 beers on drafts and any unknown amount of bottled beers. Food was decent, very friendly staff. Enjoyable to be with a group. They have a lot of options for type, size and food choices similar to Buffalo Wild Wings. They also have a wide variety of side choices. For Starters we opted for chips n salsa, guacamole and classic tomato/basil flatbread. They were all good. For the main course we all different burgers. They were all pretty good. Great service, many TV's to watch games, cold beers, and pub grub food. Sometimes that's all you need at late nights! I'd go again! read more

I have been eating here for 6 years since I cane to Atlanta. I get the same order everytime. Wings, fries and 2 ranches. Lately they started charging for extra ranch. Even though its cheap, I order through doordash and doordash doesn't offer extra ranch. Long story short, Taco Mac won't give me extra ranch anymore because I don't keep coins/change on me since I pay through a card. The lady at the front got the manager, even though I never asked for one, so I told him the story and he didn't even listen. So I'm done eating here. This is the second time we tried to eat here in the last 3 weeks and it is terrible. I travel to the area frequently and stay at the AC Hotel next door. The first time my colleague was yelled at by the hostess as she didn't want to seat us at 10:30pm on a Wednesday even though stated hours of operation are 11am-1am. We left but I gave them the benefit of the doubt because of staffing challenges across the country. Tonite we showed up at 11:15pm. The place had a line to pick up door dash orders. We waited and the hostess told us he thinks that the kitchen is closed and will check. He came back and said they are closing kitchen in 10 minutes. We said great that we would order right then and he told us no go. We got on doors dash and showed him we could still order. We asked him if we should stay or leave and he said we should leave. Meanwhile the place was full of patrons still eating and drinking. This was a full 1 hr and 45 minutes before the stated close time . This place is just awful. The poor hostess was only doing the bidding of the back of the house and flor manager who clearly wanted to go home. I am done trying to spend money here. We are in a time where food delivery is now a norm. You would assume the food will be delivered fresh and accurate correct? Wrong. We ordered last night (very hungry at that) and received not just an inaccurate order but also cold. It honestly seemed like they microwaved our food in attempts to make it look fresh. Somehow they sent us bbq wings when we clearly asked for hot flavor. It's frustrating as a customer getting a wrong order delivered and also to put the cherry on top... cold. This is my favorite Taco Mac location and, along with Stats downtown, one of my favorite sports bars in Atlanta in general. I've found the Taco Mac locations in Atlanta to vary greatly from disappointing (Philips Arena) to very good (this location at Perimeter Place). As such, this location is popular and gets crowded often. The times I've been, there's usually a wait. In those instances, the hostess gives you one of those remote devices that buzz, beep, and light up when you're table is ready. TV setup and viewing angles are great. What sets this Taco Mac apart from the others are its two beautiful giant HD projection screens in the back of the restaurant. They are clear, crisp, and look great when the games are playing. Not only that, but the restaurant plays the TV audio over the speakers so you actually hear the game and the announcers. This is the only sports bar in Atlanta that I think does that on a consistent basis. No annoying music or trivia in the background. The restaurant is clean and the booth seating is comfortable. The menu is the same as other locations and offers standard bar fare (salads, wings, Mexican, burgers, sandwiches, wraps, etc.) as well as over 100 beers on tap. I've tried a variety of the food here over the past year -- wings, chicken tenders, fries, wraps, salads, and desserts (ginger apple crumble) -- and describe everything as satisfactory. Nothing great, but this is a sports bar first and foremost. You come here to unwind with friends and watch games. Food is more of an afterthought. Service is friendly. First let me state the facts. This isn't really a place you go for great food. That being said, it IS the place you go for great beer and good times! I've had many, many fantastic evenings in this fine establishment. The beer selection is without peer - really. If you can't find your favorite on the menu there's probably something wrong with what you call your favorite. The selection here is fantastic, both in draft and in bottle. And yes, there are some fancier locations (the Prado location comes to mind - great idea having taps at the tables!) This location, besides being super convenient, also has a kick ass staff! Now for the details - these are the food items I've tried (and as I've already mentioned, you don't come here for the food - it's all about the beer!): Buffalo Hummus, Chips and Salsa, Queso, Guacamole - these are your basic dips - while none of them are great, none are really bad either. Some you'll find a bit salty. Chicken and/or Nachos all the way - well, you get the picture. I've found these to mostly be chips, so you end up with lots of pieces and no toppings. Flatbreads - these are basically brown-and-serve pizza breads. All mediocre and the portions are rather small. Chicken Tenders - actually think the regular are better than the buffalo - they're alright but once again the portions are small. They get better after a couple of beers - I have mentioned the beer, right? Burgers - all of the burgers are passable - once again nothing to write home about. Have gotten some slightly hammered veggies (guessing from sitting in the window) and stale-ish bread. These are much, much better after two or three beers - actually after three they become some of the best burgers you've ever had! The wings - these are probably the best thing on the window - go ahead and order them 3 Mile Island in heat and get at least 20 (they're a bit on the small side so 15 or so per person does the trick best). Don't be a pansy, get the 3MI with an extra side of sauce! For the salads, I've tried the house, Caesar, Chopped cobb, Buffalo; and shrimp and avocado - they're passable but on the smallish side. The dressings all taste like they come out of a jar. For some reason, these DO NOT taste better with beer! Guess there's just not enough fat content... All the Mexican dishes (fajitas, quesadillas, soft tacos, burritos) - well, I didn't realize that you could actually do these and make them mediocre, but well, here you are. Do yourself a favor and head to Buford Highway - find just about any Mexican restaurant on this long road and you'll find something better, cheaper and with larger portions. Chicken Sandwiches - read the "Burgers" above but replace with chicken. The Phillies aren't too bad but a bit salty (seems to be the melty cheese). I haven't had any of the wraps, but that pretty much wraps up the food anyway (bad pun but you get my drift). Now for the stars of the show! BEER! On any given night Taco Mac has a wonderful selection of craft beers. All the usual standbys are here but do yourself a favor and go for the unusual. They often have the latest "Dank Tank" from the Sweetwater brewery - but hurry, once it's gone it's gone. To keep up with what you've drunk (and yes, you will be....), sign up for Brew University and download the app. Every beer you try will be in there so you can compare what you really like, and really study the breweries and what their specialties are... My Standbys: Sweetwater 420, Smithwicks Pale Ale, Sierra Nevada Torpedo, New Belgium Ranger IPA, Bell's Oberon Some recent try-outs I really enjoyed: Duck Rabbit Milk Stout, Terrapin Full of Blarny, Smuttynose Imperial Stout, Abita Purple Haze, Sierra Nevada Tumbler Brown, Highland Oatmeal Porter, Duck Rabbit Hoppy Bunny Really, I'm game for any heavy gravity IPA or quad Belgium. Cross contamination!!! I came in on a Monday afternoon during the most slowest time and placed a To-Go order for wings. Before I walked out the door, I ensured if my order was correct and they shorted me a wing (hints: I've paid $14.00 for a 10-piece!!)... the server who took my order went to the kitchen and brought ONE wing in open container, which means he walked from the back of the restaurant in kitchen to the front door where I stood and brought me ONE half-cooked wing. I'm sad to say Taco Mac may no longer be the mack daddy of chained wings spot. We haven't been back in a minute but came recently with friends that were in town. A great time was had by all as we were catching up with friends; however, the chicken wings fell short...even their signature ranch sauce I'm obsessed with was subpar. What happened? Maybe an off night? The wings we ordered were not very good. We ordered hot and habanero BBQ and the hot wings came out cold. The not so hot wings and habanero BBQ were dry and a bit over cooked/tough. Even though we ordered 20 wings most of them were drumsticks and very few wings were in our order. Hopefully, things will get back on track here. The good thing was that we got seated pretty quickly when our party arrived. Also, the fries that came with our order was very good. Disappointed! I frequent this location and normally all the food is good but this sandwich is is no way what they described on the menu. I ordered the South Street Philly. I am from Philly living in Atlanta and in no way is this any representation of a cheese steak from my city. The description says grilled steak. Stop right there. This is on the level of steak Ums in the red box from.the grocery store. This is not steak. Also there are far more bell peppers and onions on this tiny sandwich than meat.
