So expensive (now nearly $3.00 / wing) - but by FAR the best in Atlanta. Prices are ridiculous though!!!! Brussel sprouts side order = Top Notch, just like the wings. I worked for Taco Mac / J.R. Crickets / Dugans (all same recipe, different owners) - for 5 years, and never got tired of them. BTW: the secret sauce is Chinese hot sauce. We came in at 5:45 pm on a Saturday night. Only 12+\- tables were taken. We sat at our table for 15/20 mins without being approached by a waiter even though there was a surplus. Unfortunately wasted our time and had to leave as no one wanted to serve us. Try a different location. read more

Leaves a Lot to be desired I've tried visiting this location a couple of times, as I LIKE their food. It's great for sports gatherings or tacos and wings - being average fare. But the service... I love this location. And been coming here for years since working in the area. And I love the service and cold drink. I like spicy so I always get the Three Mile Island sauce with us like a garlic buffalo. So good and the bartender always have a cold beer or marg for you. read more

Do you know that sinking feeling when you think your found a gem of a place for dinner and after being sat you actually check-in and see a 2 star rating? That was what exactly happened here and they lived up to their rating. First off, I really liked the waiter....or I was fooled. He was a nice guy and very friendly. His service however, was horrendous. We waited no less than 15-20 minutes for beers and wine that we saw was sitting at the bar. I did see him take a straw and stir them up to return the head to the beer before bringing them to the table, clever, but you we're busted. I ordered wings and fries that were cold when they were brought to the table. 2 people ordered their nachos and this was the hit of the night because all of the toppings were in the side. Thought it was clever to avoid the soggy nacho issue. We all kinda had a bite and they were good. 2 people also had their tacos and was very unimpressed. Very little food inside and lacking flavor. Despite the name, they only offer 4 types of tacos and I side dish of Mac and cheese. The waiter said they are known for their wings and was more of a wings restaurant??? Seems to be a disconnect with the offered food and name. Will I return? No. Worse meal ever? No. Just a big price tag for mediocre food. Wings tasted ok but I give up on Taco Mac. A delivery order is never correct, there is always at least one issue. This time it was all flats when I didn't ask for all flats. Although there were at least 10 - 15 tables/booths available, we still had a 20 minute wait to be seated. If they had seated us, and told us it would be a few minutes before they could take our order, it would have been better than standing at the front door. The food was good, but we did have to wait. Even though we did not have alcohol, it still took a while to get refills. A little more attention to the customers would have made the experience better. I was looking for late night eats while in Atlanta, and I stumbled across Taco Mac! Based on the reviews I read on Yelp, I had set my expectations low, and ventured on in as I was starving hungry! Here are the deets: This place is your typical sports bar that offers mediocre bar food at reasonable prices! If you keep that in mind, you won't be disappointed! The restaurant is huge with flat screen TVs all around, high and low tables, booths and a decent size bar area. It's conveniently located in a shopping plaza, so there's plenty of parking. Everything we ordered was pretty good although it could've been served a tad bit hotter. We stuck to basics- salad, shrimp tacos, a kids burger & mozzarella sticks! I must say that the pico that comes with the tacos was absolutely amazing! I wasn't blown away by the food but I honestly didn't expect to be. This place is similar to chili's or Applebee's in my opinion. The service was good and the prices were great so that made me a happy customer. Would I return to this place again?! Yup. Especially if it's late at night because Taco Mac is the only option for eats. Shrimp tacos at 1am?? Yes, please! read more

Im giving 3 stars because the customer service when I walked in was really nice and my quesadilla was good. I ordered a quesadilla and wings my wings tasted old! Like they set out for a long time, and they just drop them back in the oil. They were greasy. I also ordered extra ranch with my wings, but to my surprise when I looked in my bag when I got home, I received blue cheese.YUCK!! This is the worst Taco Mac location I have visited. The manager came by just to say hey and that someone would come around at some point to take our orders. This really does absolutely nothing of benefit. Finally get a waitress and order, it took our wings and fries 45-50 minutes to come out. The restaurant was not even busy that night. I should have just left. I got 9 drums and 1 wing on my order lol. Next time I want to eat Taco Mac I will drive somewhere else to avoid this crappy service and food. read more

I Had ordered wings here, lemon pepper. grilled Mac and fries , the fries were super fresh. wings were great , the Mac and cheese however is a no! This is by far the worst experience I have ever had at a Taco Mac location. The restaurant was not busy and it took forever for our server to acknowledge we were here and take drink orders. Our server DeAba was not attentive at all. Did not bring refills, did not bring requested dipping sauce, one of the items was completely wrong. When she finally brought refills she dumped water on a member of our party. No apology, didn't even bring napkins out to dry up the water. Server was cutting up and playing with other servers the whole time and not attending to customers. This borders on the worst service I have ever received at a restaurant in Atlanta. read more

Don't spend your hard earned money here. I should have known I was going to receive bad service & food once I sat down to a sticky table and menus. I ordered two flavors of wings and was presented with them mixed into one basket without paper dividers. The side of fries tasted stale and the sprite was flat. I ordered to go on a Sunday night, it said ready at 5:51, all I ordered was ten wings fries and two ranch cups, and I got home, ten minutes away to find no ranch, which I paid extra for, and is honestly the only thing taco Mac is good for. I got back to the restaurant at 6:30 and had to wait another 15 minutes to get a refund since I wasn't about to wait another 30 minutes for food. The service is horrible here. read more

Came in a little after 11AM and was greeted quickly by the wait staff and was seated. Our server was great, explained what they were as well as the specials they offered. A couple of downsides on our visit: the first 4 beers I ordered were out, our waiter was awesome trying to find a style I liked but that being beers being tapped isn't a great look, the other negative I found was that the seasoning on the shrimp taco was excessive. If looked like the shrimp were cooked and then right before it was served they threw a ton of dry seasoning on to it, made it hard to eat. read more

Taco Mac has been "home" for me since my college days. My friends and I would go to different Taco Mac's throughout the city for game days, random food nights, or grab a few drinks. Service: I've never encountered bad service at Taco Mac. Taco Mac staff is on point. Game days can be kind of slow, but that's to be expected since the restaurant is usually PACKED! If this a random night, you shouldn't have problems. Atmosphere: This all depends on when you go. Taco Mac is usually noisy overall. It's practically a sports bar, so there are a lot of televisions and big screens showing different sports channels and gaming events. Depending on how big the game is, it can get rowdy, especially if the Falcons or Bulldawgs are playing. Get there early if these teams are playing! The food here is good. Wide variety of food, so I'm sure you'd find something. When I come here, I mostly always get their six medium hot wings with fries and ranch dressing ($8.99). The wings are usually always good. As a person who loves SPICY, the hot is TOO hot. Almost too hot to even enjoy, so I usually get medium hot. Taco Mac has the best ranch I've ever had in my life. The fries are food and crispy and can be reheated in the oven without tasting disgusting, if you can't finish your meal and need a to-go. When I don't get their wings, I get the Hickory Burger with 7 cheeses, bacon, and BBQ sauce. Really good! Taco Mac has never let me down. I even had a graduation dinner here for my second degree. I have never wished demise on any person or entity and will never do so now, however, if the Taco Mac Perimeter location was to somehow go out of business ASAP, I will celebrate it! This is singlehandedly the worst take out order experience I have ever had... I ordered a simple 20 wings and fries to-go order, over the phone and was told it will take 30 mins. I arrived 25 mins later and was told to wait 15 mins. Ok, fine. While I waited, I looked around the restaurant and all the tables were dirty, the hosts looked confused, servers were hiding in the back porch room to use their phones others were joking around and flashing the middle finger at each other.... And to top that off, there was a group of 25 high school aged kids just parading around the entrance, no one attending to them or no process in place to sort out who needed what. Anyways, back to my order, I asked again after waiting for 30 mins since my arrival and was told it will take another 10-15 mins. At this point, I was confused. I waited again for 10 mins and then pleaded with another confused looking waitress, hiding in the backroom, and she obliged and went to check. She later returned and told it will be 15 MORE MINUTES. If you're keeping score that's a grand total of 1hr and 30 mins to fry a little over a dozen wings and fries on the side. Goodness! Sad part is we are encouraged to support the restaurant industry and it's workers during this pandemic but this is outrageous. I have never seen such callous, "I don't care looking staff" in my entire life. I simply walked out of this restaurant without my order and promised never to return. This taco too way to long to complete my order. I believe I waited 45 mins to a hour after ordering. It was definitely busy but the waiter informed me that my food was dropped and they had to remake it all over again. Once I received the food it was pretty good.
