We were told a 30 minute wait. After an hour we went inside to ask for an update and were told the kitchen was running behind so they were waiting to seat us. 75% of the tables were empty with servers sitting at tables rolling silverware. We said we didn't mind waiting for food we just needed a place to sit out of the heat. Server was very forgetful and we had to ask several times for condiments and refills. My grilled chicken sandwich arrived burnt and was too hard to bite into. When the it was replaced The person who brought it was defensive saying it was dark because of the marinade not because of the level of cooking. Second sandwich was much better. They have a lot of issues to work thru still and the kitchen really needs to get better. read more

Attempted to order 'online'. After putting everything in my cart I received a message that this location was not accepting online orders at this time. I called the location only to hear the automated system tell me to place orders online . I finally get an employee on the line and she takes my order... says it'll be ready in approximately 20-25 minutes...me:ok, great. I get there in about 30 minutes because hey.. it's Saturday.. I'm sure they're busy ‍ 30 minutes later.. I arrived only to find out that the employee who took my phone order never actually put in the order. She's 'gone' per the staff and it'll take another 20-25 minutes before my order is ready me: ok. I leave and come back 30 minutes later and my order is ready. Yay. While I received 'apologies'.. I wasnt offered a discount , free side, free drink .. nothing.. Whew! Will be a minute before I revisit. I hope they get it together. Oh and the food was actually good. We ordered TMI wings, Garlic Parmesan wings, Southern Fried Chicken sandwich with fries and a kids grilled cheese sandwich... wish I thought to take pics. read more

We have been to this Taco Mac a few times and were very disappointed with this visit. After we were seated, it took close to an hour to receive our food. When we finally received our food, the fish and chips that we ordered were over cooked and beyond edible. We sent it back and they were replaced with 2 orders of fish and chips that were a lot better. What made the visit so aggravating was that other tables around us were getting their food before us even when we were seated before them. I would have given less stars, but the server was really good as was the manager. Additionally, the manager attempted to make things right by discounting our meals. This problem was obviously in their kitchen. When we finally got all of our food, everything was delicious. We will most likely visit this Taco Mac again. read more

The food and service was great! The wait was a little long but thats understandable with just opening up. Be patient with the hostesses, they are doing their best. If you see open tables that does not mean they are available. I overheard many people being so rude to them so I tried to lift them up with some positivity. I have been to this taco Mac a few times and it is VERY hit or miss. I've been right when they opened for the day and walked into absolutely filthy restrooms that were obviously not cleaned the night before. I've also been here when everything is clean and ran pretty smoothly. the place is very cool, bright, modern and layer out very well. This place has a lot of potential.... I feel like every review has the caveat of "the new normal" which is short handed staff, new employees who absolutely do not care, and no call no shows. All of this might have been a factor in our last (and probably final) visit to Taco Mac Hiram, when we were sat pretty quickly on Wednesday night only to find ourselves playing the look around and try to get eye contact with a server so we can at least get our 1st meet & greet drinks ordered. Unfortunately we were unable to get the attention of any staff and had to leave the restaurant ungreeted. I went in to this location for the first time the other day and I was pleased with the service. I was greeted coming in the door, sat at the bar and was served by Tara. She was very helpful and my food came quickly. Tara remembered everyone's name at the bar and floated almost effortlessly between patrons checking in them. This is the type of employee every business is looking for and I hope Taco Mac can retain her. read more

I hate to leave this review because I've always loved coming to this location, but recently it's been bad and today was the last straw (actually bad choice of words... no straw... or water or silverware or the side I paid extra for or a beer glass). The restaurant was relatively empty and not between shifts, about 4:30 so approaching dinner time. Our server came after us being seated for 10 minutes and did not greet us, just asked what we wanted to drink. After going through 4 different types of beer that were all out of stock we decided on one and it came out in a can (no prob, I get if there isn't anything stocked). We asked for waters and a beer mug and they never came, our waitress came back after 30 minutes and seemed to be in a terrible mood but asked us for our order. After another 30 minutes, the food came out but no napkins or silverware. Our waitress mentioned the sides would come out shortly but she then avoided us like the plague for as long as she could. She would avoid contact at all costs but finally brought the side and dropped (not set on the table, dropped it) and ran away as fast as possible. It was brussels sprouts so with no silverware I couldn't eat them. When we finally could flag her down for the check I asked a box and she just looked at us like we were stupid. She brought the check which charged us extra for sides that were included in the meal and after 2 hours of just trying to get a meal we were ready to leave. I wanted to speak to a manager to politely make them aware of the lack of customer service, but again, they were no where to be found. It was like our presence was annoying everyone who was working. I have worked in the food industry and understand struggles, but when the restaurant is empty there is no excuse and you leave your problems at the door if you want a good tip and returning customers. The table behind us was complaining of raw food and sending it back at the same time. I have loved this location until now and hate to be a Karen but hopefully they can get it together! The worst restaurant experience I have ever had had to wait a hour and half for food and ended up with raw salmon and they forgot our wings until after we talked to a manager. They also forgot to bring two different drinks twice that we were waiting on for 45 minutes and we had to go to the hostess stand to finally get our own silverware and napkins. I was hoping this would be a great new place but instead it turned in to the worst restaurant in Hiram in just its first week of opening. And to finish the night two people from our party left feeling sick and throwing up I understand it's new and has kinks but this is just completely unacceptable. read more

I went to Taco Mac in Hiram on 4/27. I've been a few times and I was hopeful this experience would be better. It was not. I were sat quickly. And that was it. It was almost 10 mins before someone came and greeted our table. The only reason why I didn't leave is because it was getting late and I was meeting someone. We ordered mozzarella sticks and pretzel bites. Instead of marina sauce we received salsa. The queso for the bites was cold. The food came. Our fries were very salty. We were told they did have a new cook. The server who ended up helping us was very friendly. I don't have issues at the other Taco Mac's I visit. I hope things smooth out soon. Husband and I came on a Saturday afternoon around 2pm. Wait wasn't that long. We had white cheese nachos for appetizer and then we each ordered burgers with mac and cheese and fries. We were not given silverware or condiments so we caught our server to tell him. It took awhile for him to return and then when he did, we were given plastic cutlery and ketchup that you peel open. We looked around at other patrons who had actual silverware and small cups of ketchup that had been pumped into so we just thought is was a bit odd that we received ours differently. The meals were pretty good, macaroni a bit too runny. We got containers to go and our server asked if the check was together or separate which was also very odd just how he asked it (as if it may not have obvious that we were a married couple). So this review is mixed... this is beautiful new spot in Hiram, good place to hang out, watch sports, play corn toss, and have a few drinks. The wait was long, approximately 40 minutes but I figured because it was a new restaurant in the area and everybody wanted to try it out and social distancing dining area. The hostess used the text messaging system which was pretty cool, it informs you of how long your wait is and how may parties are ahead of you. While waiting outside, we noticed the numerous tables on the patio waiting to be cleaned, I'm not sure if they ever were. When finally being seated, I noticed there was minimal social distancing in the dining area and apparently COVID restrictions were over. The bar was PACKED, people were sitting shoulder to shoulder. I identified quite a few staff wearing their masks under their chins. Unfortunately, after waiting 40 minutes to be seated, we had to wait another HOUR for our food, we were a party of two, we ordered Buffalo chicken salad and 10-piece wings with fries... the fries never came out of the kitchen so we asked for them to be removed from the check. The wings were good, the salad was skimpy on the lettuce and toppings, it was more like Buffalo tenders on a thin bed of greens, I didn't bother to complain or bring it to my server's attention. While waiting during that hour, I observed the patrons and the staff and noticed quite a few parties without food and some people left after waiting so long. I never noticed a Manager at the front of the restaurant or in the dining area, and no one came to our table to apologize about the long wait for our food. My party and I agreed that although we were a little disappointed, we would definitely return after the restaurant has been opened long enough and the staff has become more acclimated to the restaurant and patrons. I expected the long wait for seating but I didn't expect to wait an hour for bar food. Definitely, give this restaurant a try and extend a little grace until it becomes a well-oiled machine, they're still working out the kinks and it's obvious, but there's a lot of potential; the restaurant has only been opened a little over a week. Even though the place was crowded it moving fast. Wait was only 20 minutes. Greeter took us to our table and didn't notice it was still dirty. Sat menus down on old food and walked away. That was the end of my bad experience. In cane Darius who saved the entire experience. He spotted food and apologized before I could point it out. He then got a towel and cleaned it up. He also did the right thing by calling greeter back over so she could see her mistake. From there, everything was great. He brought drinks out fast as well as condiments, silverware and extra napkins and had our order on the table in no time. My girl even got her order wrong, her fault not his, and he went back and got missing items added to her food. I'll be back and I will wait just for his table. I am a Doordasher, and if you ever are dashing and receive an order from here, unless it's a 15+ base pay, never accept. The last two times I've picked up orders here, I've received little help or information on my order, and had to wait well over half an hour both times. In short, for a store that isn't short staffed, and filling so many orders, there is no reason I should be waiting so long just to pick up the order, which doesn't even factor in the time it takes to make the delivery. read more

Me and my mother stopped by on a Tuesday night around 7:00. We were told it would be an hour wait but it only took 15 minutes. Our food arrived after an hour. My mother ordered a chili and a salad both of which had clearly sat under a heating light for some time. I ordered a chicken sandwich which ended up being mostly breading. It saddens me the poor reviews on here. This is a brand new restaurant that is being punished for it being busy. There will always be things to work through. My family and I came on a Sunday at 11:30 before the major rush came. It started to get busy while we were here. Jarek was our server and he was FANTASTIC! He sees these reviews (I asked) and said it was actually discouraging to the staff, but he didn't let that ruin how amazing he was. He was on top of everything. Checked in with us continuously and he had 7 tables, so he handled himself well. Food came out hot and great. We saw the manager assisting with seating tables and making rounds. If people had a little more grace while they work through the kinks and maybe just enjoyed the experience a little more, they would see this is going to be a GREAT spot in a few months once everyone is trained and seasoned. read more

I ordered online for delivery, however, it mentions nothing about it being through doordash. If I knew I never would have ordered online. Secondly I tried calling back after placing the order because the screen states deliver was to the store. So, I was calling to see if this was an error or to cancel the order. I called and called on three different phone lines back to back and no one answered at all. Finally get a text and food is being delivered. Food gets here, first and foremost the food was cold, part of the food ordered not in the bag, no fries. Ordered 10 wings. lemon pepper and mild buffalo flavor, well couldn't tell they mixed them both in the same box so it was pretty much buffalo wings could not taste anything having to do with lemon pepper. Service was horrible; no response, no one answering the phone, overcharged since i did not get the food ordered, and was not informed anywhere online the food being ordered was from doordash which has its on charge, and not disclosed on the receipt. I will watch the credit card and do a dispute if necessary. I will never order online again with Taco Mac, and would not recommend, truly a disappointment. read more

I ordered online at about 6:36 it said my food would be ready at 7:04 I showed up at 7:11 food was still not ready end up getting the food at about 7:45. They said they were waiting on a caesar salad, that's weird because that's the easiest thing to make. Got home and my tacos were cold. I also ordered some chili thing with chips and to be honest I wasn't sure how the chili was supposed to look because every restaurant is different. The chili was very dry like beef hash so I did call just to inquire if that's how it was supposed to look. That way I won't order it again. Per Manager the dry chilli was told exactly how the chili is supposed to look. So won't be ordering that again. Well the tacos were still good in spite of them being cool on the inside.We will go back and try something else another time just wont order the chili again. read more

i'm not sure how the service truly is because we didn't get any. we showed up around 3:45 pm for a late lunch to sit on their patio with my dog. a very unfriendly host walked me to our table outside and we did not see anyone from then until we left at 4:20 pm. i walked inside to ask if we were able to get served since we were sitting outside and got questioned if a host seated us or not. then the waitress said "oh i don't know why you haven't been served but i'll figured it out" and again no one came to check on us. i saw multiple staff members lean over tables on their phone. two waiters pointed outside and looked at us and never came out. pretty sad experience because i live walking distance to this location and i really love taco mac but don't see myself going back here. read more
