Quite impressive. Short version, come here. Huey Luey's food is decent, but their real magic is their service. The servers give you a card promising to give you their best for a great experience, and, by and large, they strive to do it. Our server was Alisia, and I recommend asking for her by name if you can. She was friendly; she explained options to us; she got our coupon to work easily; she remembered our customizations and got them right. Very helpful. The food was good. I'll admit that to me, all Mexican food tastes the same whether it's from a Mom & Pop place, Chipotle, or Huey Luey's, but this stuff tasted just fine. As you can see, the decor is fun and welcoming. Another special feature: when a kid orders from the kids' menu, they get to pick a treasure for the treasure box; it's a decorated treasure chest "guarded" by a stuffed Octopus named Pablo. They can pick from candy or mini-toys like slinkies, little scorpions or snakes, rings, etc. Thanks to Katherine for pointing this feature out to us. One minor thing: you can get into this location from the main highway or the back; come in from the highway. The back is a one-car-wide entrance/exit, so it blocks up. As with anywhere in Hiram, turning out can be tough, so take the back exit around to get to a traffic light. Worthwhile stop. Friendly crew, good food, recommended. read more

Not one complaint... My visit to Huey Luey's was a good one! Our waitress Bailey was AWESOME. Her patience to serve a walk-in party of 13 is appreciated! We came in as the bridal party after rehearsal, good and hungry! Originally we were seated on the patio, but unfortunately I couldn't sit outside due to the amount of pollen. w/ no hesitation they moved us inside and began helping us with accommodations! We placed orders for drinks and appetizers, followed by the entrees! I ordered the Texas fajita burrito filled with steak and chicken with a side of rice and beans, very filling! I also ordered queso dip, and a sangrita swirl w/an extra shot, completely satisfied after my meal! I even had leftovers to carry home. The food was delicious and we will be back! read more

Megan was friendly and my food was good. However, it was freezing cold with the air, and some of our party had food that took forever to get (45 mins)...however they did compensate for late meals. Whenever I'm craving fajitas, this is the place I go. I love the sliders with the peppers and onions. But the best part are their margaritas. Some of the best in town in my opinion. They make them just the way I like them. We've always had good service here, and they are very willing to do what it takes to make their customers happy. The ambience is really cool with a funky vibe. I love the lighting fixtures from the ceiling. My go to sit down Mexican restaurant when in Hiram. The food quality is matched only by their portions. The sit down experience never misses. They lose a star for me because four or five I've ordered carry out and my order was wrong. Granted, this was over a ten year span and I've also had many carry out orders that were correct. But they seem to have a problem with missing items when you carry out and it's frustrating. If you have a large order, it's sometimes hard to tell even if it's check the order before you leave because there are many containers, but still I hope they get this fixed. read more

Didn't realize Huey Luey's had brunch. Ordered the breakfast burrito. It had seasoned ground beef, scrambled eggs, black beans, cheese, and pico with a side of roasted potatoes. It was pretty good. They have a few other brunch options. All you can eat pancakes, French toast, breakfast scramble and the burrito. I would definitely go back. I came here last year for their birthday promo and had such a wonderful experience. This year? Not so much. Basically if you come either the day before, day of or day after your birthday they will give you a free entree up to $18. I spoke with the manager beforehand and she let me come in one day earlier since I wouldn't be in the area during their normal timeframe. This was really nice and I appreciated it. Once I was seated it took a long time to get someone to wait on me. I came around 4:10PM on a Thursday evening and they were not that busy, at all. In fact I was the only one in that specific area. Someone did bring me chips quickly but it took way too long to get my drink and food order in. By the time he made it to me, I was ready to order everything. The food was okay, I will say the chicken looked a bit pink to me. Once he dropped off the food, I did not see him again. Well...technically I did see him...waiting on other tables and ignoring me. I had suspicions to believe that he was not giving me the same service because I had come for the birthday deal and he did not see me as a "paying customer." I had to flag him down for a to-go box and my check. The manager and hostesses up front were sweet but my waiter was not good at all. Health department needs to be alerted. I would never set foot here again after what I experienced yesterday. Ordered a veggie burrito to-go and it was a veggie burrito, just with a couple of bits of shredded beef slipped in there for me. I have been vegetarian for years, I get that it happens. Revolted that I had to eat meat against my will though. Manager has it remade for me after asking if I am SURE there is meat in there. I drive back there and pick it up again, take one bite and have to eat beef. Again. Cut open the second burrito and there's bits of beef and now chunks of chicken this time too. It even says on the new ticket not to add any meat. Again this is an item on their menu, "Veggie Burrito" and the manager insists they care about food safety and the to-go girl insists she checked the burrito before packing it up. I call and the manager answers after close and she tells me they can remake it again for me, but won't give me a refund. I will never eat here again. It feels deliberate someone put meat in a vegetarian burrito twice. Was sick all night after eating meat two times. Mind you I haven't eaten meat since 2017, and today I am still so sick. I ordered food online and picked it up. Food was prepared pretty quickly too. When I arrived to pick k up curbside it didn't take long to come out. I live 18 mins away and it was still pretty warm! Well we went to HUEY LUEY's FINALLY!! Lol I have been dying to come to Mexican restaurant for the longest. Its located in Hiram amongst so many other shops and restaurants. This place is always crowded. I pass by and the parking lot is always full. I told my husband we have to try when passing by bc it didn't look packed and it wasn't. We walked in and no one was at the first but about a minute later a young lady appeared and sat us in a booth in the back, which is my kind of area. Lol. We were greeted by Paul, kind, sweet, informative waiter. I checked in on yelp and got free queso! THANKS YELP! The drinks were soooo tasty looking so I went for the swirl margarita that had sangria and margarita in it. So great!!! For my entree, I went with the Salmon bowl. By far one of the best I ever had!! The service is good, the servers are always nice. We used to go often but will not be back. They significantly changed the menu and do not allow any substitutions. The "refried beans" were very watery and tasted like they were made with Lima beans which was odd. The only decent food item was the brisket taco but it was extremely salty. read more

My family had a fabulous weekday lunch at Huey Luey's during my recent visit to ATL. interestingly, neither my parents nor my brother and his wife had visited this restaurant before, but I'm glad we decided to give them a try! We started with a small chili con queso. Their queso dip is thicker than most, and was so good with their thin and crispy chips. My brother and his wife each had their $10 lunch special - my brother had a cheese enchilada and a salsa chicken burrito with rice, and my sister-in-law had a cheese enchilada and ground beef burrito and refried beans. My parents and I had the pollo loco - mine with chicken, and my parents shared the beef version. Oh, my, their plates are huge! Everything was delicious, too. The burritos and cheese enchiladas were overstuffed, and generously topped with cheese. Of the two loco dishes, I think I preferred my parents' steak version. It was cooked well done, but was nevertheless so fork tender and juicy. And I couldn't believe the flavor! My chicken was thin and a bit drier than the steak, but still tasty. Both meats were served on rice, and everything was topped with queso and pico. My family also tried their $6 lunchtime margaritas. They were served on ice (not frozen), and had a good amount of alcohol. Club soda with lime is my preferred beverage with Mexican food, and my beverage was perfect. Service was fast and very friendly, and the seating was very comfortable. We'll definitely return! read more

They always get our order right, that's for sure! The great staff and service are pretty fast. When I get it for delivery, the food comes warm. I can always look forward to warm food. I just really don't understand why they put cottage cheese or Parmesan cheese on tacos/quesadillas. It definitely isn't traditional and I really don't think it mixes well with the other ingredients. I'm kind of biased since I've been spoiled by Mexican food in California. My husband and I love their brisket taquitos! It won't disappoint you! Amazing service and amazing food! Came here on a Thursday around 1pm. The chips were hot and tasty. I had the chicken (marinated in salsa) taco salad and my husband had the texas burrito fajita. I added queso to the top of mine and it was delicious. The shell was buttery, crispy and light. My husband's steak and shrimp were tender and very flavorful! So unique in the favors. We loved it! He even liked his side of beans which had bits of meat in them. Every detail was perfect. We even had great service. Cami did a great job! She was happy and quick to serve. Stopped by here on the way home from Skydiving not to far from here and I'm so happy we did because their food was so good! I'm not a drinker but my friend raves about their margaritas and the multiple flavor options they offer. I had the Chorizo Stuffed Chicken Breast which is served with a cheese blend, Mexican Rice and Charro beans. Everything about this meal was great and juts so you know the chicken breast is fried and already pre sliced.
