We were hoping to try out a 5 star Mexican restaurant in Vancouver for Cinco de Mayo Day but heavy traffic thwarted our plans. Ended up at the food court in Lansdowne Centre and got our Mexican fix at Taco Luis. I usually just order their tater tots for a snack; as I wanted a full meal this time, I decided to try the Tater Tots Deluxe combo meal. They put rice, beans, tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, lettuce, peppers, cheese, sour cream and salsa on top. I had the option of putting guacamole on top as well but I decided to pass on it as I was quite happy with the mound of food piled on top of my tater tots already. I really don't care whether it's authentic Mexican food, I only care that it tastes good. I've always loved the tater tots at Taco Luis, and now that I've tried their Tater Tots Deluxe I think I've just found my new "go to" meal at that food court! There are plenty of other options as well if you're in the mood for something other than tater tots. Burritos, Tacos, Soft Tacos, Taco Salads...etc. My husband ordered a 12 " beef burrito combo and my daughter ordered a 10 " chicken burrito combo. (Didn't get any photos of their meals. Was too impatient to start eating the Deluxe meal sitting in front of me!) Service: Good Parking: Plentiful and free Location: Inside the food court at Lansdowne Centre, Richmond

Forget the dumplings at R&H and go here if you're ever at Lansdowne. This place might be a bit of an unknown if you didn't frequent Oakridge back in the day, but I'd say it's one of the best fast food burritos out there. When I went to Langara I spent way too much money on their 12in burrito combo. Their combos hover around the $10-$12 range. It won't blow you away, but it's reliable. The flavours are consistent and the portions are huge. Whenever I'm in the area I usually make a pit stop to eat here. It's a nostalgic thing for me I guess.

You can never go wrong with quick and dirty Taco Luis. The owner has been at it for a very long time and has it down pat. Been to both the Lansdowne and Oakridge locations. Never a hit or miss. Same at both. Nice and easy. When you have a hunger. When you want some deluxe tater tots and deep fried taquiros or a Super 10 or 12 you always know you can depend on Taco Luis. I do crave Taco Luis probably once a month. Don't get me wrong, you will never get gourmet tacos or food here. It's just what you need when you need a fix

For commercialized, food court, mexican cheap food, you are not bad, and reading the amount of reviews for this place, I did not realize they have been here so long. I am comparing this place to the Taco Times's, and also the Taco Bell's out there. Came here, as my mom has tried this place, and wanted a vegetarian wrap, we were in the mall, so might as well come. It was lunch time, and this stall in the food court had a pretty good line up, compared to the other places around here, so it is either, that this place is a deal, or it is ok to eat, might as well give it a try. They make your taco's to order, kinda like subway, you get in line, they ask you what you want, and they load it up, and you pay at the end of the conveyor belt. I was actually surprised with the quality, and of course the size of the food, it was big, but it was good, the veggies were crisp and fresh. If your ever looking for a cheap bite to eat, and somehow you ended up in Lansdown Mall, you may as well come here, your pocket change may be able to cover it. Next time I'm trying their burritos!

If the bald Asian owner of this franchise has ever served you then you'd know what I mean by something I'm going to coin as "friendly nonsensical gibberish muttering". Regardless of what topping he guessed I wanted, the food this place offers is nonsensically addictive. Their tacos are essentially NOT tacos. The taco meats (beef or chicken) lack the usual Mexican spices but it kinda still tastes awesome that way. The taco shells are obviously not made from tortillas; instead, they are crunchy flaky flour pastries. They use shredded carrot, how cool is that? I don't care that "Taco" Luis doesnt serve actual "Tacos". I only care that their blasphemy of tacos tastes like the food equivalent of cocaine... + tater tots + fountain drink...for $7. *snort crushed taco shell with straw* 4 Stars ****

With that being said, I frequent the lower mainland to see my family and often times stay in the Ladner / Delta area. I've heard about Sonora MX Taqueria from my family as it is the first legit taqueria in this area. It was mentioned to me that over the last several years, there has been an increase in migrant workers and this is go to taqueria. I thought I had to try it. It must be good! Finally, this past Saturday was the day. We went in as a group of three and a baby. We were quickly greeted and provided a menu. The taqueria is clean and airy with a decent sized dining area. We ordered a chicken Tinga burrito, quesabirria tacos with consume, two fish tacos, a carnitas taco and a horchata. The order took a lil time to make but was all packed really well. Everything was amazing! The tacos all had great flavor. The red salsa had an amazing kick! And tje horchata was very tasty. One of the Better horchatas I've had. The food is up there! You can check out my pics! Everything was great and I am excited as this place grows in Ladner and hopefully more people find out. My only suggestions are to please add a salsa bar. It would be nice to pour your own chips, salsa, and peppers. I'm used to that in California. Also, some of the tacos were really hot and the to go containers can Make some of the items soggy. But if you eat at the taqueria this is not a problem. All in all Excellent experience and we will definitely be back!
