No​, so there's your answer. ​​ I will say, it was fresh food, and the service was very friendly. This restaurant might be a local hang out of ex-pats because it was full of armed forces members​ when we visited. The service was excellent- we met the owner, and he was gracious and very​ friendly; we waited (and honestly, not more than 5 minutes, so little we didn't even notice​ we were waiting) and the owner apologized. ​If you're in the area and need something other than meat, meat, and more meat, this is the place for you. On the plus side, you know it's operated by Mexicans because they offer a lot of different ​salsas available for you. After being fed up with sausage and suds or falafel wraps, I managed to find this spot. I had the super burrito with chicken and it was quite good. The Spanish rice was cooked perfect, black or pinto beans, and chicken was moist also. It's just a tiny place a block behind the train station, but has a nice comfy feel and nice to relax. They have sodas for 2.3 euros and 3 euros for a beer. My whole meal was under 10 euros and I didn't have to suffer from authentic German fare any longer! read more

If you're looking for good Mexican food in the downtown area of Munich, this is the place. It is a quick take out place in the best traditions of fast Mexican food. The owner spent years in San Francisco which exposed her to quality Mexican food. I had the Street Tacos, which were delicious. The chips were not what we would expect in California, but they are better than you get most places in Germany. Even the guacamole, rice and beans were authentic. I will definitely seek this place out the next time I return to Munich. read more

This is first taqueria style spot I've tried or even seen in Deutschland. It's not bad but a the portions are a bit skimpy and the prices are a bit too high. I had the regular tacos. The server was friendly and fairly flexible: she let me mix one corn and one flour tortilla, and mix one chicken and one beef; although she did charge me 50-cents for a tiny pinch of cheese. They have some Mexican beers and hot sauces. I hope it's a good start to something that becomes even better. read more

We are very sorry to say that the quality has gone way down over the past year. We have been disappointed the past five or six visits and tonight was the last straw. It's just not good anymore. We were glad to find a Mexican restaurant in Munich. Food was adequate for European Mexican cuisine; not spicy but you can add hot sauce. We tried the chicken and cheese super quesadilla. Sour cream tasted more like ranch dressing. Friendly staff, good service and clean facility. read more

This is a nice little taqueria, and so far, has the closest i've found to a San Francisco Mission burrito here in Munich. The menu is small, as a taqueria's should be -- burritos, tacos, and quesadillas only. the burrito is huge, and I'd recommend asking for less rice and a little more beans than the default. I'd also skip the cheese/sour cream route (and DEFINITELY skip the lettuce, which does not belong on a burrito!) and go for the classic meat/bean/rice burrito. The pinto beans were great -- perfect texture. The friendly guy behind the counter offered spicy salsa on the burrito, and I'd definitely recommend asking for it if he is busy and doesn't offer it. It's a nice heat level, not too 'scharf.' I have to knock points off for the chips - a small handful of chips comes with each dish, but they were a disappointment and not worth the calories. ( sometimes the best thing at a taqueria is CHIPS, if freshly deep-fried from yesterday's corn tortillas and scattered with enough salt when they're hot out of the fryer so there's an extra crystalline crunch. these were from a bag. sigh.). if you're near Hauptbahnhof, you're pretty hungry, and you've been a bit wistful for a real burrito and the doner durum isn't filling that niche for you -- then give this place a try for sure. read more

Finding a good burrito place in Munich has proved to be a challenge. I'm a Bay Area native, so I take my burritos very seriously. I had previously tried a couple of places that ranged from good-but-weird to disappointing (at Condesa, my burrito had carrots and potatoes in it and the tortilla was chewy). It was getting to the point where I had lost hope of finding a decent burrito in this city, knowing that Europe is notorious for butchering Mexican and Mexican-American food. I can safely say, however, that Taco Libre satisfied my craving. I can't really put my finger on it, but the burrito FELT like a burrito from home. It lacked the punch of Mission Taqueria burritos, but the beans were delicious and seasoned, they used crunchy iceberg lettuce (instead of dark greens, which add an unusual flavor), and there was guacamole to boot. Oh yeah, this is a subtle thing: they actually called it "Guacamole" instead of "Avocado Creme", which is I guess what Germans like to call guacamole. And they actually served the burrito in aluminum foil! Bless them! That being said, it was NOT an exact copy of a Mission burrito. But it is definitely the closest I've encountered so far. The burrito with chicken was terribly mediocre. It was no wrapped properly and the ingredients were not evenly distributed all the guacamole was at the bottom The chicken was also hacked to pieces, improperly seasoned and simply too dry. The only positive thing I can say about this place, unfortunately, is that there was no line. It was also more expensive than other competing burrito restaurants in Munich. You walk in, choose your meal and then you have a choice of meats, beans (refried or black) and sauces. I had a Burrito Regular Steak, and came in around noon. For a Burrito in Munich wow! For a Burrito I can only go 3/5. My steak was super tough and seemed like it was grilled yesterday and served today. The hot sauce was awesome, as was the customer service. OK. I tried it and can say it's better than 99% of the 'Mexican' here in Munich. It' slightly more hip than a taqueria, but not as snooty as Enchiladas or Sausalitos. (Both of which are more crappy Tex-Mex than real Mexican IMHO...) Anyhow, 2 people and quite a bit of food later we got out for 25 euros. More than expected, but we did eat quite a bit. Burritos : Good ++ Can't say excellent, but damn good for the price and for being in Munich. Street Tacos : Very Good +++ Damn near SF/LA quality. Not exactly Carne Asada, but close enough to satisfy this nit-picker. All-in-all a good stop in for a quick bite. As a Texans we tend to be pretty picky when it comes to our Mexican food. After days of local cuisine we were delighted to find this place. The two guys behind the counter were very friendly . Neither of them appeared to be Latin so I thought I would be funny and asked a couple of questions in Spanish. No problem for them they are from Monterey. This is a fast food restaurant but it's a darn good one the tacos rivaled anything I have eaten in Texas. They also have a few tables on the street if you're into people watching. read more

I think I've been to almost every burrito place in Munich and I have to say this is the best in the city. This is the closest you can get to Chipotle. They actually have black beans which is a rare find here. The ingredients are fresh and the Pico de gallo is perfectly chunky. Went to this place yesterday for the first time. It did feel a little Chipotle like which is a GREAT thing. I had the taco's and my husband had the burrito. Everything was so tasty, fresh and actual felt a little heat in the hot sauces and pico de gallo. The owner was there and very friendly and pleasant. She suggested we sit and had have a beer and margarita to celebrate Cinco De Mayo which only added to the experience. Definitely will be going back very soon. read more
