Located outside of downtown Munich, Guatemuc (Muc? Get it?) drew my friend and I in because we wanted to explore beyond the city center.
It's terribly cute inside. Hanging plants, themed drinkware, and counter-height tables that are shaped like barrels. The bartenders on a Saturday night were fully engaged with the patrons and created an appealing vibe.
We ordered a Deja Vu spritz (you either love spritzes or you hate them), a pina colada, a Paloma, and a rum punch. The latter three drinks were fantastically yummy cocktails.
The food - well, not the strong suit. Our Nachos Überbacken recalled microwave nachos and they were not generous with the salsa, guac, or bean dips. Our tacos were hard shell, which I wasn't expecting; also, since they didn't strain the ground beef, the shells broke while I was eating. The tostadas were also served on a hard shell.
I'd send people here to pre-or postgame, but for a memorable meal look somewhere else. read more
