I am one of those Americans who checks out McDonald's in every country I visit. This review is for the fish filet and chicken nuggets. The fish filet is way better than the U.S., but the chicken nuggets were just ok. It didn't have much flavor in the breading. We came in Christmas Eve evening, and the place was pretty busy. It took a while to get a free kiosk to place my order. They have different combos than the U.S., so it took me a while to order. This McDonald's is huge! A lot of kiosks for ordering, which is helpful. The service was fast as well, our order was ready quickly. It's a clean space with extra seating upstairs too. The double chocolate pie was delicious and crispy and the current happy meal toy is awesome (Mario Kart 8). read more

Pro: It's McD, it won't kill you. Special German items! Opens at 6 am. Con: This place is for the walking crowd, parking garage is down the street. My wife and I were jetlagged to hell when we got into Munchen, after getting up at 4 am and start the tourism thing downtown, we realize there was absolutely nothing open at that hour until this McD at 6 am. Chicken and Egg McMuffin - think deep fried chicken paddy in an egg McMuffin, with lettuce. Weird combo. Big Morning Farmer - 100% gold. It's an everything bagel with a traditional Big N'tasty. GET THIS. Egg and Bacon burritio - don't, mostly egg only. Mini pancake - 6 silver dollar size pancake. Coffee and tea are about the same. read more

Can someone tell me why American McDonalds isn't as good as international McDonalds. Its shame that this is the case. I literally try McDonald's every time I see it internationally to try their unique food item they offer just to always realize that the McDonald's in America sucks. The fries sure are the same but everything else is above and beyond better internationally. As an American, I find this absolutely absurd that we skimp on quality while the rest of the world has way better options. This place offers chicken wings!?! Not just nuggets but check wings! Sure they were small and not the best but they were better than any American chicken nugget I had! I totally would order this over American chicken nuggets... also don't even get me started on the sauces they offer internationally. My goodness are they amazing here! This is more of a rant of how much American McDonald's sucks and less of a review of this place and I am sorry for that. I hated that I was an American tourist in Germany going to Mcdonalds, but it was late and we had to eat before going to bed. Honestly, the food was great. Ordering with the touchscreens and picking up our food, there was minimal contact, which was good. The food was better than most McDonald's that I get in the US. The restaurant is very strict and requires every guest to wear FFP2 masks, but the people working here only wear the simple surgical masks. Very inconsistent and probably illegal. Food is regular McD, nothing wrong there. read more

Of course the American goes to a McDonald's on an oversees trip... I have this weird obsession with trying the McNuggets at every country I visit. I think Taiwan still wins but Germany was fine too. It tasted just like the US. Luckily the only sauce they give you is the sweet and sour so it worked out well for me. I don't think the US has these hot wings yet but they should. It was actually very delicious! Another reason (excuse) that I went to McDonald's is because virtually every mickey Ds has free wifi. This one did too except you needed to set up a T-Mobile account (free) but you can't set it up without wifi so...you can't get the wifi. Oh well, it was still a fun experience. The food was more expensive than the states and I probably would've had a better meal anywhere else in Viktualienmarkt. read more

The cashier tried to scam me out of €10. I paid with a €50 bill and she gave me back a €10 and €20 bill when it should have been two €20 bills, which I think is a very hard "mistake" to make. She apologized and tried to laugh it off but I feel like she thought I wouldn't notice. I guess that's what I get for going to a McDonald's. read more

Clean and large McDonalds located in tourist area. Go figure. With typical German efficiency, there are automated kiosks where you can order your meals in English (or German!). The only fault with the kiosk is when you get to the payment part with your credit card; the card reader prompts you in German only. Strangely, no hash browns or other potatoes with breakfast though you could get fries. (No thanks, not for breakfast) Also, no orange juice available and when you ask the staff they think Fanta is acceptable substitute. Ah, no. Remember also that you have to pay for each pack of ketchup but maybe that is good as you will only take what you need. The ketchup packs are about twice the size of the North American ones so you don't usually need more than one or two unless you think ketchup is a vegetable. The food was tasty, hot and fresh and service was polite and quick. Satisfies my McDonalds fix while traveling. At least they haven't made a "McWiesswurst" yet. read more

This was great! They had the kiosk in multiple languages. It was huge and stylish! Different menu from US. They had wings, curly fries, different me flurries. In a high traffic area so they were busy! Gotta check it out in a new country. read more

This was the only thing open that had a salad option at 11pm. I had the chicken salad. It's much different from the American McDonald's. For starters, they don't have anything grilled. Not even a grilled chicken salad. It was basically four chicken tenders on a bed of lettuce. Very mediocre. Probably won't come back here for the remainder of my trip. read more
