The people were friendly but the service was a bit slow, my friend ordered the pancake platter to eat there, and it was the last thing to come to the tables she got her bacon 5 minutes after the platter and had to ask for it to go. Clients seemed to liked the chorizo & egg tacos, and chilaquiles tacos. If you the chorizo & eggs tacos, ask them to put them in a plastic bag, mine weren't and the bag was wet. They fixed it but if I hadn't sat down at a table with my friend my car would've been a mess. Feels more like a place to go after a night of drinking. There are free chips and a salsa bar!

Two bacon and egg tacos later, I was a convert. Fresh, hot and tasty and a welcome change from the McDrive-thru places out there. Was so good, I pretty much had them everyday for 4 days Good size amount of food and a decent cost = happy breakfast-camper. Would definitely hit again if in the area. Give it a whirl

We sent it back and went to speak to management to get a refund and cancel the order. All the while the employees seemed to find the situation funny laughing about it. (((Taqueria Tepeque ))) in McAllen, TX I randomly stopped by this spot after hearing a friend mention the super quesadilla, and wow. Totally lived up to the hype. The tortillas are handmade and remind me of the ones I used to get at Tacos El Poblano in Compton. That first bite took me back. Everything's fresh, you get lime ‍ green/red salsa, onion, and cilantro on the side. The flavors are bold, and they don't hold back with portions either. It's not a fancy place, but the food speaks for itself. If you're craving a bomb quesadilla, this is the place. Definitely coming back! ( no gatekeeping here). Remember to enjoy your meal with someone you love .

We got sat but it didn't take a long time for us to get greeted and taken care of. But once she did come, we got things rolling. Hubby and I once again got a handful of tacos and he decided to try one with "sweet bread." Didn't enjoy that one, the texture was too mushy and not pleasant. But the rest tasted good. The beans/pork cup they gave us had a good flavor but there were just big chunks of pork fat in them so we didn't really eat those. My friend got something popular in the area called "sincronizada" and it was like this giant burrito. We all helped each other eat it and devoured the rest of the tacos. Very reasonably priced and a good end to our trip!
