2/10 Unfortunately,…read morethis just wasn't for me. I was hoping for authentic Mexican flavors, but the food tasted more Mexican-inspired than traditional. The dishes lacked the bold herbs, spices, and depth of flavor I was expecting, and everything seemed very watered down. The biggest surprise was that my meal was served with coleslaw. That's not something I associate with the traditional Mexican meals I've had, and it felt really out of place. The coleslaw even had carrots mixed into it, which just added to my confusion about the overall concept. I gave it an honest try, but after this experience, I won't be returning. If you're looking for more traditional Mexican flavors, this may not be the place for you.

I just tried going through the drive through at 9:43pm 17 minutes before closing, as a chain restaurant i figured this store would close at the correct time and the workers would choose to do there job while clocked in. I am extremely disappointed and unsatisfied. If i am traveling over 25 minutes to get there for them to be closed early is just outrageous. Someone needs to start doing their job, for this to be a constant issue is just embarrassing.

While passing through Dell Rapids during one of our little road trip adventures, my husband and I…read morestumbled upon this restaurant and decided to stop in and give it a try. One thing that immediately caught our attention was the building itself. Dell Rapids has a great deal of historic charm, and the restaurant is housed inside one of the town's older historic structures, which gives it a lot of personality before you even sit down. The atmosphere carries some of that preserved small-town character that makes these Midwest road trip discoveries enjoyable in the first place. The presentation of the food was honestly quite beautiful. The plating was polished, colorful, and thoughtfully arranged in a way that immediately raised our expectations. The dishes looked refined and carefully constructed, almost the sort of meals that make you instinctively reach for your phone to take photos before eating. Unfortunately, the actual flavors never really lived up to the visual presentation. That was the biggest disappointment for us. While everything looked appealing, most of the dishes wound up tasting fairly flat and underwhelming. Nothing was outright terrible, but very little had the depth, seasoning, or distinctiveness we were hoping for once we actually began eating. Service throughout the meal was decent enough, though the restaurant seemed somewhat overwhelmed at the time. There was a very large and extremely loud Friday gathering taking up much of the dining room and seemingly most of the staff's attention. It also appeared they may have been somewhat understaffed that afternoon, which likely contributed to the slower pacing and divided attention. Overall, the experience landed somewhere between average and slightly disappointing for us. Not actively bad, but not especially memorable either. The historic setting and attractive presentation certainly added points, but ultimately we left feeling underwhelmed by the food itself.
