Hello. I don't usually leave reviews. My husband and I go for breakfast pretty frequently, as I'm pregnant and it's one of my cravings lol. Whomever is at the drive thru in the mornings has been exceptionally rude for over a month now. Today, she said she couldn't hear my husband. So he spoke up. When he ordered my burrito, he had audibly stated no jalapeños. I heard him. Our son heard him. He wasn't whispering. He was talking the same he would going through any drive thru. And we've never had issues. When she read our order back. We had noticed she didn't repeat no jalapeños. So my husband just goes "oh. That should have no jalapeños on it". And she goes "Well she already made it". Okay ma'am. You learn working fast food that what the customer orders is what they get. I ended up speaking up and I said "he did say no peppers". She goes "well we didn't hear that". So we just pull up to the window, pay, and as we're leaving. This woman really looks at us and nastily says "you need to learn how to speak up". I'm sorry. She's been rude for so long. And I just couldn't do it today. Every other day I just smile and go about my day. But it's just ridiculous. read more

Terrible. Down right terrible. Not only did I wait 15 minutes for my simple order, but the cheese wasn't even melted on my burrito. My son could've made a better tasting burrito and he's 4 years old with Down Syndrome. Will not be returning. Gave 1 star if I could make it 0 I would. Seats were also ripped up and disgusting. Quick stop to get our Potato Ole fix! Restaurant was clean...bathrooms too! Staff all super friendly. Ole's were Fresh and hot...just wish they had a bit more seasoning. Was like eating plain tater tots. I Terrys the Vanilla Iced Coffee..my glass was 100% full of ice so my coffee was gone in no time. It was pretty sweet too...don't think I will get that again. read more

Extremely rude and complete lack of customer service. Manager Mike isn't willing to even speak with the customer about issues that occur at the restaurant and another manager with "meth teeth" doesn't seem to understand what customer service is. Instead she would rather not address the customer complaint and tell them they received their food and to stop "acting like a fool" when you want to discuss how they don't provide good customer service. Ordered the food and drove around to the window. They never acknowledged me pulling up, opened the window, or bothered to say anything. I watched them finish my food and set the bag on the counter. It sat there for over 5 minutes, getting cold, before I knocked on the window to get their attention. The employee, Emma, opened the window with an attitude and didn't apologize for the wait or anything. She snatched my credit card out of my hand without saying a word and then handed me the receipt and my food. I had to ask for my drink I ordered and had to ask for hot sauce. Emma just handed me the drink and some hot sauce, still not speaking to me at all. When I drove around and went inside to speak with the manager, the manager Mike, refused to come up and speak with me. Another manager came up to the counter with an attitude. She immediately informed me that she wasn't even on duty, but was there because they were missing money and couldn't do anything else until that was figured out. What did I want? I told her about the extremely poor customer service that just occurred and she simply repeated again about them missing money, what did I expect them to do? I told her they could at least let me know that there was an issue and it would be a couple of minutes before they could help me. I told her that I watched them finish my food and it sat there getting cold for over 5 minutes before I knocked on the window to get their attention. She just repeated again about the money and what did I expect them to do now? I told her that hopefully they could improve their customer service and at least let the customer know they were taking care of an issue and would be with them when they got it figured out. She replied, "you received your food didn't you?" Was there anything else I wanted or was I just going to keep acting like a fool. Apparently when you go inside and speak with the manager about issues, you are just acting a fool. read more

The service was fantastic and fast. The cashier was very friendly. The restaurant was clean. Our food was yummy and hot.

One star. Not only is the food awful but it's even insulting Taco Bell to serve tater tots with a "taco". BTW, What is a Taco burger? I'm from TX and I've never heard of such a thing. Looks like a bun with Alpo mystery meat. Don't throw your food out the window like I did or you may be fined for dumping hazardous waste. If you are unfortunate enough to be driving through this area and see a cardboard cowboy named Taco John, than my suggestion would be to keep on driving pilgrim. Update=bad food. read more

Had an employee, Katie, who did absolutely amazing!!! She was very kind, patient, and very sweet. Food was okay. Service was amazing

I stopped here on my trip from TX to NE. When I lived in Omaha, I went to the local one. After eating here I will never eat at another one. I did the drive-thru & when I pulled out my Taco with 3 min of getting it, the meat was cold and soggy. The Potato Oles were lukewarm. All of it, including the Nacho Cheese, was so salty that I couldn't eat it anyway. I almost vomited. I had to purchase more food about 90 min later. What a total waste of time & money. read more

This Taco John's isn't as good as it used to be. Dining room is still closed. We're from out of town so took our meals to the park to eat. Two meals.... Taco Salad and Super Potato Oles. We received one napkin and no forks. We checked to make sure our order was correct, guess we should check for utensils next time... if we go back. Food wasn't that great... read more

Worst place cant get simple orders right had to run in.they knew my name have no clue how I have I have never seen these people so that's creepy. Huge drinks but small plates of food payed five dollars for a small plate of nachos. I thought this would be better than Taco Bell but I was wrong. Ordered quesadilla meal with some churros and was very disappointed. My quesadilla was soggy with no crunch at all. The churro was also very oily with clumps of sugar in the crevices. The only good thing was the price. I should've have gone to Pizza Hut next door... read more

Responding to other comments about TJ's, it's not Tex-Mex, it's West-Mex. Originated in Wyoming. Been going to TJ's since the 70's, some good and a couple bad locations, this one is one of the better ones. I tend to stop by every time I pass through on my way to and from Nebraska and haven't had a bad experience yet. Plan to stop by again this weekend. I tend to order the taco burger because it's easy to eat on the road vs a taco or softshell and the oles are awesome, a little salty on occasion but good. My preferred Mexican fast food, just wish there was one closer to me. read more

There is nothing Tex-Mex about Taco John's. It is a typical greasy fast food joint known for its potato ole's. (Think ball-park nachos but instead of tortilla chips they use "tater tots."). It's a chain restaurant mostly in Nebraska, Iowa and Kansas. Don't be a food snob if you go here and do not expect real Mexican food. However, if you are drunk and need some cheep greasy carb loaded food to sober up, this is your place. read more

Clean & appears well run! Staff was friendly, fast service & tacos were crispy & just what we wanted! Potato oles were good & crispy! Enjoyed watching the staff greet people & visit with locals, even saw an employee call for a tow truck for a customer! read more

WOW!! AWESOME!!! Driving through on our way back home to California from a long Roadtrip. Never had Taco Johns before!! Let the employees know, and they went above and beyond explaining the menu and the food, the favorites, etc. they also raved that this is the best location! Very good place to eat. Enjoy it as much or better than Taco Bell. Grilled Beef Burrito is my favorite. Their hottest hot sauce is actually very hot, maybe too hot for a lot of people but I love it. read more
