We stopped for the night in Junction City and decided to try Highwind Brewing. Good on us! We (DH…read moreand I) had the Shandy and the amber ale (we can't remember the names) and they were both really good. The bar was busy (it was a Friday night) but well staffed so we didn't have to wait. The food is food hall style where you go to a counter (there are two) and place your order then pick it up when it's prepared. We went to The Mill (pizza, calzones and salads). I had the Italian Chopped Salad and the flavors were spot on; DH had the Greek Salad with chicken and really liked it, too. Be aware, it's a loud, noisy hall; that's the only thing that I'd prefer was different. We will go again when we go thru Junction City.

While I know Alfredo is not Italian, it is my fav dish of theirs and the plate sizes are massive. They also have great sized garlic rolls and their stuffed mushrooms are absolutely amazing. The only thing I will warn is while their pizza is handmade and amazing, it only comes in one size an is only enough for one person. Service is top tier as well, very friendly staff and they have plenty of patience for children. The ambiance is calm and relaxed with an open floor plan, the ONLY thing I don't like is when you walk in, it kind of smells like old mop water so don't know what kind of cleaner they use but they need to switch that up lol Otherwise it is extremely clean and well kept with no dust built up and their silverware is always spotless

When we went inside and saw that they sold food, we asked them if they had a menu and they pointed to a white board. Me and my son wanted pizza, the daughter wanted a cheeseburger and my wife wanted the chicken fried steak meal. We ordered and paid then waited out on the patio. As we waited I was thinking "Great, we just paid gourmet pizza prices for some frozen Totino's cardboard pizza." I was so wrong! The pizzas here are delicious, homemade and huge. The boy and I ended up taking half of the pizza home with us, as did my wife with her chicken fried steak that she said was some of the best she ever had.
