    Birria tacos

I hate when people hype a restaurant up and then it's mediocre. This is that place, the place is a little too small and there's only one line to order. You can imagine that the place will get crowded, it did, and because of this some people may be confused about where the line starts. I ordered the birria, carne asada tacos and queso to go, I didn't receive any consume with it, the carne asada was chewy and not flavorful and the queso was $4 but only received a little bit of cheese. I recommend many restaurants to people who visit Lynchburg but this won't be a place that I recommend.

Pretty floral murals on the outside and a Mas Tacos neon sign in the window

Best veggie tacos I've ever had! The camote (sweet potato) taco had the best sweet potato fries I've ever had as the base. The calabacín (zucchini) taco had perfectly marinated zucchini, a slab of grilled cheese, and I should have eaten several. The prices are great - we got the lunch special with cero regrets. The three salsa were distinct and delicious. The restaurant itself is so cute, and it looks like everyone who works there likes it. Es un gusto, indeed!

The food was delicious. They have homemade tortillas that do not disappoint. I had birria tacos and steak tacos both were delicious. Very easy to order and make modifications. I gave 4 stars because of the cleanliness of the outside eating area. But there is a separate outside eating area so your dog can eat with you.

Fantastic. Got 5 different quesadillas. Everyone was authentic and generous. Staff were friendly and efficient. Salsas were perfect.

Yikes! We had high expectations due to the high rating and delicious looking pictures online…read more Unfortunately, the food we received (which was VERY expensive, by the way, and prices for most items were not on the menu) was subpar. We ordered the al pastor tacos with rice and beans, chicken tacos, asada tacos, and asada torta. The good stuff: service was friendly, the wait wasn't too long, and the portions were good (the torta was GIANT). The atmosphere outside would probably be nice at night (they have outdoor seating, tables, lights). The torta was the best thing we ordered, it was good! Unfortunately, all the meat we got was dry and unseasoned. In the torta it was masked by all the other ingredients, but all of the tacos are more simple, so the unseasoned meat couldn't be covered up. The pork on the al pastor was so dry and flavorless I couldn't force myself to take more than a couple bites. The rice and beans also tasted unseasoned and flavorless which was very disappointing. All of this wouldn't have been so disappointing if it wasn't extremely expensive (we are visiting from DC and even street tacos there are cheaper!). We were expecting high quality for a meal that was almost $70 total (9 tacos with one side of rice and beans, one torta, and a soda).

It's next to a small playground and new amphitheater, so I'm sure this place gets quite busy on weekends. We all enjoyed our lunches; just unfortunate that it took well over a half hour to receive them. Since we were traveling home to OH, we weren't too keen for a laid back lunch.

One person in our party said her salad had the best dressing she's ever had. The fried pickles were good. The shrimp was good. One bartender was good. Cons - We walked in and basically weren't sure what to do. There was a woman at we thought was a hostess stand, but she never said anything to us. We finally asked if we needed to check in with her to get seated. We did. But it was kind of weird. One bartender was awful. Never made eye contact. Wouldn't take any orders. Acted like she wanted to be anywhere else. I thought the Caesar salad was ok. It came with lacquered salmon. I would have loved the salmon, but not lacquered. It couldn't be made to order. Ok fine. I ordered it the way it was described. There was nothing lacquered about that salmon. It also was shredded on top of the salad and was maybe two ounces. That's ridiculous. Our server wasn't very helpful and not very attentive. I'm sure many people have had great experiences there, but I'm not sure I would take the time to go back.
