On a recent trip to Miami for The Eras Tour, we stumbled upon this restaurant in a nearby strip mall close to our hotel. We were greeted immediately by the friendly owner, Jorge. Seeing us in our Swiftie gear, Jorge turned the tv screen to YouTube and played Taylor for us while we were dining. This was the day before our concert. Not only was the service wonderful, but the food was so good as well. I had the shrimp soft tacos and they were delicious. Others in my party ordered the chimichangas, elote corn, cheese enchiladas, and birria tacos. Everyone enjoyed their food. I came by for a late lunch while in the area. It's in a strip mall right on Collins and close to the beach. The menu is standard tex mex classics (tacos, burritos and the like). Looking through their menu, I was thinking about ordering their chile relleno (stuffed pepper) with chicken. Unfortunately, it was not available. I then ordered their chicken burrito and chicken tortilla soup. They did customize out the guacamole from both the soup and burrito. The soup was pretty hearty and tasty, with a generous portion of chicken. My steak burrito was tasty as well, with a nice helping of veggies, salsa and a fluffy tortilla. No I didn't have a typo. I ordered a chicken burrito and was served a steak one. Not that big a deal, only a $2 difference. But between that, the automatic 20% gratuity and an added 3.5% cost for using a credit card (when hardly anyone carries cash) feels a little "nickel and dimey" and why I can only leave three stars. read more

Ok I want to start off by saying these drinks were watered to the bone. My son ordered horchata it tasted nothing like an authentic one and tasted like milk,water,sugar, and peanut butter. Our food came 15 minutes after the drinks I got chili rellono first of all I'm not a Mexican food expert but I know the sauce is supposed to be at the bottom not on top to mask the horrible taste. It was not spicy at all no peppers were use probably and tasted like it came out of a frozen bag. My son got a steak burrito the burrito was ok but it costed 18 dollars for it which was absolutely insane for a burrito and a little bit of side pico and lettuce for the burrito. He told me it tasted bland and no flavor was present and I tried it as well and I have the same thoughts. Nothing was showed to make it worth that much money. After that was the check. Usually me I don't mind paying a lot of money for food but it had to be good at least. However this was not the case the horchata in a small glass watered down plus with ice cost 8 dollar absolutely crazy I can make my own for 4 dollars max both of our food came up the 40 dollars which is insane for the portion size we got as well. And now finally the part were it was really triggering 20 % gratitude the service was not that bad but still not worth 20 percent of the meal and if you pay credit card you have to pay 3.5 percent more which is not right. Please do not go to this place it is a scam for your money I bet you if you go to north Miami there will be better and cheaper food there instead of here if you crave Mexican food try different areas other in this one try this one if you want to be disappointed and hungry after!!!! read more

Been living in Sunny Isles for a few months now and never gave them a chance until recently. Now I regret waiting so long. Don't let their position in a outdated shopping plaza fool you, the food was GOOD. The server was very kind. I got the chips and queso and it was that delicious white queso dip with the thin crispy chips. That worked up our appetite to the main course, the enchiladas had pulled chicken and I ate every bite. Super delicioso!! My only recommendation would be to dim the lights to the atmosphere matches the buzz of the shaken margaritas. read more

Went here for a quick lunch about two weeks ago and the food was really good. I went and the place was empty but it was early in the day which is good because that means the food comes out faster lol. I ordered a cheese quesadilla with chicken and it was really good but it was a lot of cheese. I also had a piña colada, the piña colada was good but I tasted better piña colada's. I gave it four stars because the card machine wasn't working I believe they were updating it in the middle of service so I had to wait an additional 45 minutes for them to even take my payment but overall the food was good and I would definitely be going back read more

The service was good. However, having experienced real mexican food, I was extremely disappointed by the flavors. The tortilla chips were stale. The guacamole was nothing else but smashed avocados, no lemon, no serranos, no flavor. I ordered the chicken enchiladas. They were salty, no seasoning. Not spicy at all. The meat was not seasoned with a good flavor, it tasted like cumin and salt. Not sure how they cook it. I did not want to touch the rice. The jamaica was ok. If I could rate it 0 I would. Horrible food !! Horrible service !!! The service was terrible! Order drinks and was ready to order my food. I was told if I wanted an appetizer and I said no I was ready to order. They proceeded to take only my drink order although I was ready to order. After placing my order, I waited forever for my drink and food. When the drinks arrived it was watered down. I continued to wait for my food but after seeing multiple people come in and still waiting I decided to cancel the food. In an attempt to cancel and get a check I was told that my food was almost done and then being forced to take it and eat it although I wanted my check. Told them I didn't want the food and I would pay for the drink and they called the owner who told them to call the police. Waited over 30 mins for police to arrive just because I didn't want the food and it would be a waste to them. Then the owner calls back and requests to speak to us in which the owner asked what was going on and that the female waiter informed the owner that our food was here and we were refusing to pay the bill! Not at all what happened! We updated the owner on what happened and the owner requested to speak to the staff again. We waited again and asked for an update in which we was told to wait another 10 mins. I then called the cops myself and one of the waiters decided to brink my check for the drinks and stated that he paid for the food. We paid the bill of $79 for our drinks and walked out. While walking down the street the cops arrived and the staff at the store informed the cops that our bill was $200 and we didn't pay it. The receipt given to the cops was printed at 4:05pm, looked at my phone and they had just printed it which wasn't the receipt they gave us. Not sure who the owner is but definitely not a business person! Horrible staff! Horrible service! Horrible drinks! NEVER GOING BACK!!!!! read more

The food was far below satisfactory. I ordered the steak quesadillas and streak burrito. The quesadillas cheese tasted like cheese you buy from a gas station. I couldn't complain about the steak though. The rice in the burrito was undercooked and the portions were all over the place (steak burrito was 80% rice). I've been there many times and it was good but this time it was lacking. For starters the portions were small (except for the ground beef, that was adequate) and I was still hungry after finishing it. I wanted a taco salad with ground beef and didn't see that on the menu but I think I've gotten that before. So the server had to ask the bartender if they could put ground beef on the Ensalada Pollo and she said OK. What I got was a separate small container with unseasoned ground beef, a larger styrofoam to-go container with small piles of lettuce, corn, fresh salsa, some half tomato slices and black beans but no dressing or taco chips. Just two small containers of hot sauce. I took it home and put my own dressing on it. I called to complain and got cut off after a fairly long hold and then spoke to a man who did apologize for the lack of dressing and he said tortilla chips were $4.00 extra (who ever heard of a taco salad that didn't come with tortilla chips?) which would have brought the meal to around $40.00 (I did get an expensive mixed drink as well though). read more

We went today with the family because my husband brought food from this place and I liked.(I'm no really a Mexican food lover except for the tacos Al carbon and another plates) but this place have different options and the sazón in the Mexican food is really good. The place is beautiful, the food that I order Skirt Steak with salad and sweet plantains was delicious, also excellent amount and presentation. The Grill fish with French fries and salad was delicious too and the beef enchiladas also. The service was great. It's TACO TUESDAY! Head over there stat The ambiance is fun, cultured, and a cool spot to eat and have drinks! I always looks for that In restaurants and ask myself "would I come again" and I would. They drinks wine huge and soooo good, you don't even taste the alcohol, which is probably the bad part but don't judge me.. I was a HUGE fan of their cheese dip, it was so good I ate it all and left everyone wondering how good it could've been if they were a little faster haha. Definitely a must order if you go. Their shrimp tempura was breaded so well, I ate all 3! Corn was buttery and juicy. Surf and turf was cooked to perfection and had an incredible flavor.
