    Pan de Jamón
    Cass A.

We've been buying the Pan de Jamón from Avila for a few years and it's become a staple for our Venezuelan Christmas. The olives provide the salt/acidity whereas the raisins add a touch of sweetness. This year, the bacon was pretty fatty and felt a bit undercooked which is why I gave this a four rather than a five. I'd like to note that previous years, it's been perfect.

Primera vez que vengo a comer en Ávila Bistro con mi familia y la verdad nos encantó todo!!! La comida estaba increíble, tenía muy buen sabor y el servicio también fue genial muy amables todos. 100% recomendado

I am Venezuelan but have lived in US all my life!! I have been coming to Avila Bistro since they opened. Always for breakfast. El Andino with my daughters. Today I went and had the best Arepa de Asado Negro. Deliciosa!! Tostadita y el asado typically from Venezuela. I highly recommend this place as one of the best!!

Avila Bistro is a nice local option for north Miami. Came here twice, once for an arepa and a cachapa, and another time for a pabellon and a pepito. The arepa was pretty good. The cachapa was more looks than favor and the dough was just not very good. The pabellon was OK but the rice was very hard and we had to ask for a different batch. The pepito was ok. Juices are good and desserts alright. Service is decent. As a Venezuelan visiting Miami I was excited and maybe my expectations were too high, but is not a bad spot to visit.

    Ham and cheese arepa

I've been to this place about 3 times and the food is always really good. My favorite part about this place is that the food is affordable. The prices are very reasonable considering that it's in Aventura area. They have a large variety of arepas. Personally, I love cheese and they stuff their arepas with A LOT of cheese. I think there is something for everyone on the menu. I got ham and cheese arepa and it was really filling. They have this green sauce which I think is a cilantro sauce that they bring to the table, it's so freaking good. Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed.

Dulce de Leche iced coffee and in the background is Nutella iced coffee, not too bad

Small local place near Hallandale beach! There's a limited amount of outdoor seating but this is perfect if you're looking for a casual spot after hitting the beach. Food was great quality and staff was attentive. The scrambled eggs and avocado were absolutely fresh. I love iced coffee so this one was good but it wasn't out of this world. Nonetheless, will be back.

I love going to Avila Bistro with my family. The food is fantastic and the team that works there are very professional and welcoming. I have had the chance to be there many times there, so they know us by our names and have close relationship with my 4 year old. Additionally, I know that my son will eat everything that they serve there. Specially the Pabellón Criollo. I highly recommend this place!!! Luis

It's the kind of place where you can just grab a book off the table and read while you eat, which makes for such a relaxing morning. The coffees are consistently excellent and the food is very tasty. For this visit, I had the Neverland iced coffee and the Golden Tater Tot meal, while my wife had the croissant with Nutella, banana, and strawberries along with the Passionate fruit drink. My sister-in-law opted for the Firehouse breakfast with a pistachio coffee, and everyone was thrilled with their choices. The service is always friendly and welcoming, which is why we keep coming back. I even ended up going back to the counter to grab a strawberry latte to go, and it was surprisingly good--the perfect way to end the meal. Our service by Olena was excellent: attentive and professional. But most importantly, the food truly stood out. I absolutely love Slavic food, and while I'm assuming this restaurant is Ukrainian, I'm originally from Russia, and we eat very similar dishes ~ so this really felt like home. The syrniki were absolute heaven. The salmon omelette on toast was delicious and perfectly prepared. I also tried two different coffees: the pine nut latte, which I'd rate a solid 4 / 5, and the black currant latte, which was an easy 5 / 5 ~ very unique. Service was quick, and I really appreciated seeing servers bring food out to tables as soon as it was ready, instead of waiting for everything at once. The prices are reasonable, and I'm honestly surprised to find a place this good tucked into a regular plaza. I will be coming back and recommending it to others.

Super disappointed with this place…read more Pros: The potatoes and eggs were good & the hot sauce has great flavor! Cons: First thing I did was use the restroom which had a horrible smell and the toilet needed cleaning. The service was good at first then fell off after we ordered our food- which was strange because it was not busy at all. We ordered the screwdriver & peach Bellini to drink. Steak & eggs and the Untoasted breakfast + side of ham. The screwdriver had an odd taste & the ham was extremely soft/squishy/seemed uncooked internally. The steak was not cooked well- but acceptable enough to eat. Our server never checked on us after we got our food which sucks because we needed a few things. A different server ended up walking by much later and asked if we needed help which is when I told her I'd like to send back the ham and screwdriver- both of which I barely took a bite/sip out of. I just told her I didn't like them and she got a bit of an attitude and wanted specifics as to why I didn't like it. I just reiterated i didn't like it and won't be consuming either so please take it back. We finished our food and no one ever came to our table again- while the workers were walking around helping the 5 other tables or talking amongst themselves. After sitting for 15+ minutes with our finished food, I just went to the front and waited for someone to check us out. I don't recommend this place and will not be back.

The space is absolutely beautiful ~ roses everywhere, elegant decor, and very Instagrammable from the moment you walk in. One thing that stood out, however, was a very strong scent sprayed in the hallway upon entry. My friend, who is sensitive to strong smells, felt sick afterward. It didn't linger heavily at the table, but for anyone sensitive to fragrance, this could definitely be an issue. As for the food, our Eggs Benedict initially came out overcooked, but our server Jonathan A. handled it perfectly. He immediately took it back, asked the chef to remake it, and the second round was spot on. Great recovery and attentive service on his part. I ordered a hazelnut cappuccino, not realizing that cinnamon lettering would be added on top. I personally don't tolerate cinnamon, so I removed the foam and didn't say anything, but this might be something for management to consider ~ asking guests beforehand would be appreciated. Overall, the service was good, valet is offered upon arrival, and the ambiance is lovely. While it didn't completely blow my mind, it's still a beautiful spot with solid service. All things considered, I'd honestly give it 4 stars and would return, especially for the atmosphere.

The service is slow and confusing, the food is underwhelming and I believe it is overpriced for the overall experience and quality. First, with the service - we always wait a long time to be served and when we do there are always drinks or requests missing. Today we asked for 4 waters in addition to our drinks and we had to ask twice more throughout the meal for the additional 2 waters to be brought. We were served our food with no cutlery or napkins and when I asked for it they sent over a manager more than 5min later as our food got cold. Regarding the food- it's definitely Instagram worthy for the most part but the flavor is underwhelming. I ordered the Croque Madame and it came missing the bechamel sauce, when I asked the server where it was/ if I could have more he insisted multiple times that that was not part of the dish... the bechamel sauce is what makes it a croque Madame. The flavor of the pancakes was grainy and dry, and despite ordering a decaf cappuccino my cappuccino was definitely not decaf. At the end of the meal both times we've been recently been, they show us the total on the screen but not the break down of the meal and try to scam you into adding additional tip without disclosing that there is already a service charge included. I'm not against tipping on top of the service charge if the experience is good! But in this case it was not warranted. While the concept is cute and they tried with the decor and vibe it's just missing the mark for me. I will not be returning.

Consider that one star a gift to my server Julie who provided nothing but excellent service with a smile on her face. First introductions are everything. My partner and I were dismissed completely by the manager who was too busy chatting it up with solicitors. Not even a simple "I'll be right with you." Julie caught wind of this and immediately swooped in. The menu is pricey but I assumed that the portions would make up for it. This assumption was correct, but my food's presentation was the equivalent to what you'd serve a dog. I ordered the egg salad club with a side of fries; if you're searching for an establishment that cooks with love just leave. The egg salad was unseasoned and I'm unsure that half-smashed boiled eggs constitutes as egg salad. The fries were piled on top as if a tired teenage McDonald's worker was cooking it up in the back. My partner also agreed that their tuna melt was unseasoned. As we were leaving we decided to take a peek at the baked goods. In a final attempt to give this place the benefit of the doubt, we eyed a delectable looking chocolate chip cookie. I called over the employee behind the bakery counter to which she begrudgingly trudged on over. I took another look at the display to solidify what I wanted, but I noticed something unappetizing. FLIES. Not one fly, multiple flies having their way with the baked goods. We told her never mind and left the establishment. Never again will I step foot in this atrocity.
