Our team ordered some tacos this morning and hey we're the worst tacos we have ever ate. Mine had beef and egg because they said they did t have brisket. The meat was so salty we could barely eat it and the meat was over cooked. They were some of the smallest "burritos" I have ever seen. You order at the drive up window and it had cars in line so we figured it was good since it was our first time. I've had better tacos but these were ok. A solid breakfast spot! Every time I pass Taco Gomez i tell myself I'm going to try this place. Finally I woke up one morning craving a breakfast burrito. My husband drove over there and grabbed me a sausage & egg burrito. Since I love retried beans he grabbed me a side of beans & rice to try. The refried beans were excellent! The rice was pretty standard. The burrito was huge!! It was also nice and crisped on the outside like maybe they pressed it once they had it rolled up. Good food at affordable prices! This is a hole in the wall type place, but they're clean and very friendly. Their breakfast tacos are delicious and are cheap - about $2 each. Their plates are served with rice and refried beans - both super yummy. The corn tortillas are made in house, but flour are not. I took off one star because I've been here several times and they have been making the portions smaller and smaller. The barbacoa has good flavor, just a bit too greasy. Awesome little hole-in-the-wall joint. Didn't even get a chance to look the place up on Yelp before stopping by here. Seemed pretty packed with cars going in the drive thru so we took a chance. I have to say, that this place really hit the spot. I had the 3 taco special ($5.99)and the hubs had the fajita plate ($7.99). Same meat used for both dishes, but his had twice the amount of meat. Mine had lots of meat too - they didn't skimp out there. They also gave us a small complimentary basket of chips and extra spicy salsa. Husband also had an authentic Mexican coke in the bottle. No fountain drinks served here, only bottled drinks. Food came out pretty fast and it all was all delicious! Very authentic tasting like the street taco stand in Houston that I am used to. We finished all of our food, because it was just so dang good. And the best part? Our meal was under $20!!! The beef fajita quesadillas were very tasty although it could have used some avocado. The meal we had here was out of this world tasty. We were en route from Dallas to Houston and decided to stray off the highway 2 minutes to try Taco Gomez. The tacos and burritos were incredibly flavorful and came out promptly.
