I love trying these new small businesses around my town, so I checked this mexican food place out in Ennis. Fiesta Grill was a happy find. I ordered to go because I was ready to be home for the evening, but they had lots of seating inside and a small outdoor seating area. I ordered some beef nachos and they were delicious. The chips and salsa was pretty good as well. The chips seemed made at the store and the salsa too. Staff was less than enthused to be at work it seemed. Would have been nice to actually feel as if they appreciate people coming to work at the place they work so they can get paid, but wth.... This is our "to to" tex mex restaurant in Ennis. Very laid back (my preference). Service is not always top notch, but what can you expect from a small mom and pop place? Their food is reliable. Their salsa is good. They do charge extra if you get more than 2 baskets of tortilla chips. Their margaritas are really good, especially the on the rocks. I usually get the medium size. I do think their prices are a little high for what you get. Overall, I love the relaxed ambiance. If you want a great server, get the one that has been there for years - she's not a high school server! She's the best one they have. The owners are good. If you get bad service or bad food, do not expect them to make it right....I've seen so many posts where they do not. Just go with the flow! read more

Went to Fiesta Grill tonight. Not only was service really bad, my food was horrible! I ordered the chili relleno and it wasn't batter that they deep fried it with. They took two pieces of white bread and put it around it and then deep fried it. When has that ever been a thing? It was thick bread and disgusting. Our waitress never came over to refill our tea, we had to ask for refills and anything else we needed. I tipped her still because its hard time right now for many people but she definitely didn't deserve it. read more

Mexican restaurants we have plenty here in Ennis and most are just bad. You would think that being in Texas Mexican Food would come easy, but in fact good Mexican food is incredibly hard to get. I'm writing this review knowing full well that I will get heckled from the staff, this is what others have gotten in the past, comments about me being white will be made even, but we came from Spain. The food is without a doubt the worst food we've ever eaten. The vegetables are sparse and not fresh, the meat when offered is the same, Nothing is fresh even the chips are stale, mixed drinks are watered down and alcohol is cheap so be ready for a belly issue. The staff in the from of house is lazy, you will wait, the restrooms are filthy, the tables are dirty the menus are dirty and be ready to drop at least $120 dollars for what you this will be a great dinner for 4. Great location wrong ownership wrong staff. This place has been awful since January of 2020 and seems to get worse, it survived because tourists hit it due to location, most locals don't go there. Good food! Great salsa and Guacamole. Little pricey for small town food. But worth it. Not sure why this place is called a grill. They have a very extensive menu. You can just about get any kind of combo you want. You can even buy a quart of their fresh salsa for about $6 read more

This is where the locals go! My husband and I tried every Mexico can restaurant in town when we moved here and this was our favorite hands down! The food is great! We have tried most of the menu the last 3 years and only a few things we were not happy about. The chips, hot sauce, and quest are great! The waitresses are super nice and the owner is the one that one that runs the cash register and she is nice as well. Definitely a must try!! read more

I will start by saying that the food here is pretty good and usually I have a good experience. Today was not like those other good visits . We ordered and ate our food . We had a good waitress and ordered a meal to go. When we went to pay we asked about our togo order and the owner asked if we had paid for it , we told her yes we just paid the ticket for our table. The manager not once smiled or offered any assistance. The waitress said she never put the order in, so we said we would wait for the order. The manager (Owner) was very rude . The not smiling part is a regular occurrence , but we usually overlook it . I will think twice before going back . read more

Fresh made purée style salsa not cooked so super fresh and just the right amount of zing. Guac was hand made and tasty and portions are good for price point. Had the Fiesta plate for lunch - Mexican food can be salty and a bit greasy during lunch portion quick cooking, this was neither! It was perfectly balanced flavor wise and food came out quick after we ordered. We were there at lunch time and they were busy but handled orders/tables well keeping salsa and chips stocked while we ate. Good food, service, price and portions. read more

Great little hole in the wall in Ennis. There are only a few places for Mexican in Ennis, and Fiesta is the best. They are always super friendly. The food is always good, but not great, but I have never had anything bad. My staple here is the fajitas. I have also tried the tacos, and the enchiladas. I like the chips, but the salsa has a tendency to be a little saucy, so I generally ask for a side of chopped onions and a little cilantro to add to it. It has a nice flavor. If you are in Ennis and want Mexican, this is the place to go. read more

The mole was excellent, the salsa decent and the waitstaff very pleasant. My biggest gripe was the fact that during a lunchtime wait, the staff seemed underprepared for a lunch-rush and the service was HORRIBLE. I had to put my own name on the list, waited for over 30 min (after being told a "5 minute wait"), and after seeing several open tables, had to ask for a table. After looking around the room while I waited, I saw four tables with MANY bowls of chips but no food. I don't come through town too often, but this experience was not especially great. Great little place. It's been there for years and restaurants can't survive in small towns without loyal followers. Lots of cars in parking at lunch on Good Friday 2014. In area for bluebonnet spectacular. Wife had chicken fajitas. I had a combo plate. No complaints. Service is good. read more
