The tacos and gorditas were both good and when "queso" is listed this is real Mexican queso fresca! I preferred the gorditas over the tacos which I guess reminded me of the empanadas and papusas from further cuisine further south of the boarder. Everyone who I was with enjoyed their food as well. If Taqueria Don Juan costs what a typical Mex restaurant does in the area I would give it 4 out of 5 stars. However here you can get a real Mex meal for Taco Bell prices that is true Mexican food just like being south of the boarder (no canned "nacho sauce" aqui).
