I worked at Taco Casa for Paul, almost 24 years ago. The food is still how I remember it. I had the special of the day, the south of the border fries. Randomly found this place in our family vacation. Got really good reviews so we decided to try it. I had the Indian Taco and my husband had to taco Tuesday special. We also ordered sopapillas. Everything was sooooooo good. The Indian bread taco was by far my favorite. Would highly recommend this place. PLEASE READ!!!!! This place USED to be good. Now it's Overpriced for crappy food. And little of it. It's like they don't care anymore. I paid 17.50 total for each meal with a fountain drink. And it came with two stale tacos. No seasoning. Very bland. A very small scoop of Beans and rice which were mixed. Eww!! And the lettuce was soggy and had a nasty vinegar taste to it. Not worth it. And when I called to complain and ask why they charge so much and the food isn't tasting the same she just yelled at me saying things are more expensive and hung up. That doesn't mean your food has to taste crappy now. Very rude service. Way better Mexican to eat nearby like Mi Ranchito or Restaurante 8A which I will be going to from now on. read more

Oh where to even start...... I was a guest at a party and the host had catered this establishment if that's what you even want to call it... They were supposed to be at the venue at 3:30. The party started around 4:30 and still no food. When called they said they are running a bit late but would be done in 30 mins. Well so as you would know that time passed and still nothing. Another 40 mins NOTHING! Almost 4 hours later they call the place and they still were running late. We all finally got to the point we would just drive there and pick up the food ourselves as people were starving. As we loading into the car and called back the lady answered and said they were on the way but then her phone died and they had to turn around and charge it. She asked us for the address again which the host had already screen shot and sent her a pin of where the venue is at. Also this place was literally 5 minutes down the road. So we finally get to the alleyway to the back of the restaurant and she is back there standing in sweatpants and a baggy t-shirt. As from someone out of town this did not go well with any sort of first impressions. As upon talking to her it seemed like she was on something and was staggering around and was slurring a bit. As we were just about to just grab the food out their vehicle she was yelling for her partner to come out. Trying to keep all of our patience in tact they tried to get in the car and as he was backing up she had the door opened and literally thought he was going to run her over. She finally just got out and stayed and he followed us to the venue. At that point we were all just ready to have it all setup and so we just grabbed the food and started bringing it in. I for one was not impressed AT ALL! It was mediocre at best but we were all starving. The host just didn't want to make a bigger deal then it was already so they gave them the full amount of money and a pre written thank you card. Honestly it was definitely not worth the money they paid for and later on they think they got shorted on the amount of food. Very very bland and it was cold. Just the lack of communication and professionalism was just out of a shitty movie. The excuses coming from one thing to another was obnoxious as she knew about this event for months! If you are able to get through this horrible review please save yourself and go elsewhere. I am in the service industry and I am sorry but they don't deserve to still be in business. Absolute joke to the food and the owners. I honestly wish I could say that this was all just a crazy prank but damn that is pathetic and sad. I used to live in Pueblo and every time I go down there there are absolutely 2 places I have to have!! 1. Romero's and 2. Taco Casa! There are others if I have time................Do Drop In, Mill Stop are just to name a few! Great Mexican food is super difficult to find up north in Colorado Springs. I have to have my fix every time I am in Pueblo. I don't care what others think/say or have had bad experiences! I love these local places and can't get enough! I've eating here 3 times , the first timeit was pretty alright but the last two were terrible. I called and complained but the lady who answered the phone didn't care. I have lived in the neighborhood with this restaurant for 40+ years. I have ordered them many, many times for pick-up and eaten meals inside. The employees are always extremely courteous. The food is good but not the best. The prices are very reasonable. You get decent quantities of food. On the rare occasion they have messed up an order they have always made it good. read more
