My mom and I stopped in for breakfast this morning. Despite there being only one waitress (and cook we found out), the service was outstanding...especially considering there was one table of about 10 men in addition to several other patrons there when we arrived. Our waitress, Victoria, seated us, got us chips and salsa and coffee and asked for patience as she was obviously getting slammed. Turns out we didn't need patience...she got our order out to us in record time and our coffee cups were never empty. She also kept seating and waiting on further arriving patrons and kept the big table happy. Kudos to Victoria-and the cook, whose name I unfortunately don't know. We went in for Sunday dinner and right from the start the hostess was very rude to us. We still decided to wait, at the 10 minute mark my uncle got up and very politely asked how long she thought the wait would be, he was just curious and asked if we could order drink while we waited. The hostess than proceeded to role her eyes and said, " if you can't wait, than you can leave." My uncle said, "I was just wondering and wanted a glass of water." She huffed and then complained to an another customer. She got menus and said, "Well are you coming or not?" And showed us to a table that was still being cleaned, we sat for a minute and decided to leave. She didn't say anything as we left and we won't be going back. We went to the location out in the county and were treated exceptionally at that location and, honestly the food is ten times better at the county location than at the Pueblo Blvd location and the customer service is 100% better. First time here from out of town with family. I thought the food was ok but nothing that jumped out at me. I had the enchiladas with rice and beans and they were good. Unfortunately my local Mexican restaurant in New York made better enchiladas. My margarita was a bit strong and lacking flavor. The chips and salsa were very good as well as some of the desserts we tried. My wife had the menudo and she said it was exceptional! The wait staff and service were fantastic. Not ADA compliant regarding Service Animals. And pretty rude about it. My daughter felt very embarrassed when a confrontational host declined to seat her and her Service Dog without "certification". Check out the ADA.org website. This is illegal. A person with a disability is not required to show certification. It's hard enough to have a disability without having to prove their Service Dog is legit. Apparently the owner does not allow it - so I hope they get the message that they are feeding their employees WRONG information. Food is delicious. Ambiance is nice. Service is horrible. I have been coming regularly for months now because of the food. The regular wait staff are slow to greet you at your table. They are slow to serve. They don't return to check on meal or if you need anything. You have to hunt them down if you need anything, whether it's napkins, refill or bill. They don't acknowledge that they heard your request and leave you wondering if they will return. There were a few short term servers who were excellent they ran circles around the regular staff. They were hard working, attentive and deserved the tip you are expected to give. I really hope the owner sees this review and investigates it. I have a service dog that I need 24/7, meaning I take him everywhere with me. My family and I were denied service at this restaurant. A man greeted us and stated that I needed a form of identification stating my dog is a service dog. The Americans with Disability Act states that these are the only questions a business can ask: regarding a Service Animal: "Is the animal required because of your disability?" and "What task does it perform?" Any and all other questions/demands like form of identification are against the law. The man when asked said he was the manager. With this I responded, saying he cannot ask for Identification and that it doesn't even exist. He then argued back saying I was wrong, and that the owner made the rules. I asked for the owner's number and did not receive it. The manager continued to deny service to me and my family so I left. The manager was extremely rude and cut me off at times. I want anyone with a service dog to be ready for this here, because he was extremely rude and passive aggressive, and if you are affected by stressful events, this isn't the place to go. read more

The restaurant had an overall nice ambience however the tables were all unclean, I assume due to fewer staff, which was not their doing whatsoever. When our neighbors told us about mi Ranchito and how good they were, we were excited to finally find a solid Mexican staple in our new neighborhood. I can't even call what we received food. We got a chicken burrito and the tampiqueña. The tortilla wasn't even tucked in, and the lettuce and tomato were OUTSIDE. Who makes a burrito like this? I would've rather gone to chipotle or qdoba. And the tampiqueña...... looks like someone vomited. There was NO SEASONING on anything! This place relies solely on its Chile sauce to support their meals, and we didn't even get green Chile we asked for; they gave us red Chile! I'll never order from here again for a to go order. First, they never answered the phone for over 20 minutes so we drove to put order in because we had very specific dietary request that we felt couldn't trust the online ordering. Well. The messed up 75% of the order. And we wanted the beans on the tostada on the side .... Not on the tostada. So they charged us $3.50 to do that. And the beans still came on it ....the person eating that can absolutely can not have beans. Also we wanted an order of chips and queso. Long wait due but the "25 minutes" was really a 25 minute wait. Prompt service and friendly server (Greg). Food was fresh, hot, and tasty. The tamal had lots of pollo filling. Chile Releno was firm with just the right amount of heat. Ranchero beans were a bit bland but the extra salsa peeled them up. Margaritas were exceptionally strong; don't know if that was because of the long wait to get seated or not. It was made with well tequila and no gran gala. It wasn't awful but for a 9.00 margarita, I expect a step up from well. I had heard Arriba's Restaurant was really good, so on my way home from Sam's Club, I decided to stop in. They were closed, although there was staff inside. So I hopped back on Pueblo Blvd, being a bit bummed as I thought about the hour drive home, and having to do it hangry. Then poof! There's Mi Ranchito! I whipped into the parking lot, and went in. The first thing that jumps out is some pretty amazing murals! We were immediately seated, and asked if we'd like complimentary chips and salsa. (Of course!!) But, does the salsa have cilantro? The wondersful server said he'd bring us the cilantro free salsa. (YAY! I'm allergic!!) The wait staff were all cheerful and professional, the food choices were very excellent, one could choose between red or green chili, and it's true Pueblo green chili. (No tomatillos, or cilantro, made with green chilis and pork). My only reason for only giving four stars is that they claimed the green chili I ordered was made with local green chilis, so I was looking forward to the very distinct flavor of the local milagro chilis, and nope. This used to be my families go-to for Mexican food in Pueblo, but in the last few months, the service has deteriorated. We've gone there to eat three times in the last month and a half and have left ach time due to waiting 10 minutes to be seated. Ten minutes without being acknowledged is unacceptable. We would have probably have given them a break if the restaurant was full of busy, but that hasn't been the case. The last time we were seated, our meal took over 45 minutes from ordering our food to receiving it. There are very few good Mexican food restaurants in Pueblo, and it's a shame that I won't be going back to my favorite one. read more

Driving around Pueblo, not knowing where I was or what I was looking for, I happened upon Mi Rancho II. Although the parking and the building seemed nondescript I didn't let that deter me. Upon entry I was greeted by a nice, young, smileless young lady who showed me to a table. Almost instantly a young man dropped off chips and invited me to visit the salsa bar. The chips didn't seem fresh but the Salas were nice in variety and flavor. My order was taken. I elected to go with their most requested meal, combo 3. Now I wait. Looking around, the hand painted murals are great art work and add much needed decor and personality. My meal, enchilada, taco and chili with beans and rice was just delivered on a scolding hot plate,the taco in tin foil. It truly does not look appetizing; runny beans and sauce with no body. The plate is hotter than the food but the flavor is solid. Ingredients seem fresh, well seasoned and bring the heat of the medium green chili salsa. Overall Service friendly enough, unnecessarily hurried and I'm not a fan of being called boss man. Food, presentation was off putting, food temperature was like warm, the flavor was robust. 2.5 stars would be best, but going with 2 because I keep getting called boss man and the chips just were no good. Family and I had breakfast here on a Saturday. The restaurant was empty at the time. Sitting was fast and our waitress super friendly. My hisbanordered the large menudo, it was delicious. The meat was nice and tender. The corn was soft too. The breath had a great flavor. I get picky with Mexican food so finding good menudo of Pueblo is surprising. The Carne Ala Tampiquena was excellent! I can't believe I'm going to rave about this but the beans and rice were awesome! I posted a photo of my meal as it was presented. The use of Yellow and Green peppers really gave the plate some color and depth. The service was very good. The dining area was clean and well organized. The restroom was dirty and had a strange odor. From my perspective as a former restaurant GM, The dirt in the bathroom represents at least a month of neglect and partial cleaning. I did not have an opportunity to see the kitchen. Typically, if the bathrooms are dirty, the kitchen is worse. Despite my reservations, I enjoyed the experience and will return. This really should be a 3.5 star review but the food and service were so good that I don't mind rounding up rather than down. :-) read more
