For context, I drive about 40,000 miles a year for work and travel all over Colorado... El Pampano is literally the best, most flavorful, authentic Mexican you could possibly have. This is now the second time I've had it and I'm just so blown away! I was in a pinch for food today for work and needed it delivered. The food was delicious and plentiful. Chicken Mole burrito had so much flavor that the dipping sauces provided were not needed. Loaded with chicken and intense mole flavor. Rice and cheese complimented the chicken very well. The tamales were amazing and took me back to my visits in Mexico. Tres Leches cake was so light and tasty! This place is overly priced too expensive. As a Latina woman I had high hopes when reading all other reviews especially spending $95 on food that was terrible. The asada was burnt. The al pastor has to more pineapples than meat, it wasn't flavorful. They didn't make my nachos properly. I got a chicken quesadilla, I was expecting pollo asado (grilled chicken) but it was(tinga) boiled chicken with tomatoes & onions added into it , I've never seen a chicken quesadilla made like this. First and foremost, Carl H, you are fucking insane for your review. It should be criminal to leave one-star review like you did! Now, my actual review of El Pampano. My significant other got the shredded chicken enchiladas with green sauce and couldn't eat it fast enough. She was absolutely in love with her dish from bite one! I got the mixed Alambre Tacos and while served a different way than I expected, the food was just so good that it just didn't matter. As for plastic utensils and paper plates, seriously, who F'in cares! Both of our meals were 5 star worthy. It is literally some of the best Mexican food I have had to date, coast to coast! And it doesn't stop there. When the girls are not taking orders, they are on the floor cleaning up everything, and I mean EVERYTHING! This place was spotless in terms of cleanliness. I am a big believer that the condition of the bathrooms indicate the condition of the kitchen. Again, the bathroom was spotless! I even saw a different employee going into the stock room and cleaning up in there. The cleanliness of this place was a 7 out of 5*! Seriously, in the top five of any restaurant I have ever visited! If you want a delicious meal, in a place you don't have to worry about health violations, this place is your spot! I don't give it often, but this place absolutely deserves the 5* rating I am giving it. Giving it a 1* rating reeks of a competitor who wants to knock their completion down. I was in the mood for Mexican and contemplated just making tacos at home or going to a franchise Tex mex place but decided to try out this local place and I'm so glad I did. I ordered the Birria Quesatacos and this might be some of the best Mexican food I've had in my life! Everything was so hot,fresh and flavorful. The 2 dips that came with it took what was already delicious and made it even better. It came with 3 but I only ate 2 , trying to save one for later but we will see how this goes. Also I can't forget how nice the staff was when I walked in and how clean the establishment was. I've been here since July for work from South Carolina and passed this place for the longest and this is my first time stopping by. My wife will be in town next week and I already told her I have to bring her here(we're foodies lol). This place is seriously amazing! My husband and I stopped in while visiting Pueblo from Monument, CO. We moved to Colorado from Texas 4 years ago and we both agreed that this is the BEST Mexican food we've had in the state. We ordered the Super Nachos and the Birria Quesotacos...wow wow wow everything was perfect! We loved it all, including the rice and beans, homemade salsas, and we got to try the red velvet cake! Can't recommend this restaurant enough, and to top it off, the service was so friendly and welcoming, a 10/10 experience. read more

Went here again and we wanted to make sure it was just as good as the first time... it was awesome... I love this place ... we tried different items from the menu and it was dang delicious! The service was great like before... this time the owners family were out front taking care of customers... they were so friendly and knowledgeable.
