We waited about 20 minutes and then were seated. We started out with the Texas Whisky Margarita. We asked her if the drink was sweet and she said no but it actually was sweet after we received it. Luckily she did give us a little extra whisky to make the drink less sweet. The food was good but not great. Their regular salsa, albeit very good, isn't as spicy as my wife and I like our salsa. We can not mix the hot salsa to get the perfect heat we desire. Eduardo, our server, was "ready on the spot" in taking our drink orders. Since I've been dining at Mexican Inn for close to seven decades, I know the menu by heart. My wife ordered chicken quesadillas and I ordered the #4, cheese enchilada, crispy beef taco plus rice and refried beans. Margaritas were delivered to our table as we munched and munched and munched on the chips. Oh yummy, I better slow down on the chips and salsa or I won't be able to enjoy my lunch entree. Since it was several hours after the lunch run, Eduardo delivered our entrees to the table. Thank goodness, something else to focus on instead of munchin' on chips and salsa. It was time for a refill of my bowl. Eduardo warned us the platters and food was "la comida está muy caliente - the food is very hot!"
