Came here with my two buddies. This place is dynamic. That is the first word that comes to mind. The food is great. Awesome tacos. I got 4, it was the perfect amount. Gotta go Mexican style, if you don't, that is your fault. If you are in need of a haircut, this place will steer you the right direction. The gentleman who took my order had a very nice hairdoooo. So much so, I said "where do you get your haircut". To be honest, I forget how the next part goes but at some point he says "I have scissors in the back if you want me to give you a haircut". As much as I trusted his taco making skills, I didn't trust his non-taco making skills. Aka - hairdooooo making skills. In my next paragraph I will continue the story. He tells me about this guy who gives good haircuts. He tells me to go to the nail salon. This is my first day in Green Bay so I do not understand his directions AT ALL. We look at my map on my phone together (yes together). He shows me where, but says all hairdooooo places are closed on Monday. I call anyways. They send me wills phone number. I call will. Hidden gem of Green Bay! Mexican is my absolute favorite. My fiancé suggested Taco Burrito Mexico and I'm so glad he did. We both got three tacos - chicken, pork and steak. I got just cilantro and lime on top and my fiancé got the same with cheese and lettuce on top. Bonus pints for the delicious margs and not too spicy salsa. read more

So, first impressions were that this restaurant was clean, relaxed, and well managed. My first impression also was that this Taco Burrito is a lot more expensive than the one on Oakland. I ordered burritos and tacos. The burritos were about $3 more than the place I usually go to. 4 tacos costed $15-it seemed like a lot. I found out that any extra salsa you request is a 50 cent charge. The tacos are small for the price. I didn't like this, but I reserved judgement until I tasted the food. I bit into my taco, and I understood why their prices are higher. The tortillas are perfect, except for the size. They were crispy and they were packed with deliciousness! A punch of flavor to the mouth-well worth the extra $$. The burritos were huge & scrumptious as well. I ordered a mango margarita. My only wish is that they made their own margaritas versus using a mixture. Everything else is authentic, so it'd be great to get an authentic handmade margarita. I love shrimp tacos and they wouldn't make it. The other site I'm a patron at makes shrimp tacos, and they are closer to my home. Would I recommend this place? Yes, I guess I would. I wanted tacos on national taco day so we read reviews and settled on trying this place out. Food: Top quality. Menu is easy to read and the items are delicious. I ordered two tacos with everything on top (Chorizo and Pastor). My husband ordered the burrito special with red sauce. We also got a side of guacamole to share. My tacos were fantastic. The crisp tortilla paired with the meat and toppings was outstanding. The Chorizo was my favorite I could eat that every day. The guacamole was sub-pair not worth ordering again. I actually was sassy and added salt and hot sauce to it. I will touch on the mistakes that our server made below but I was accidentally served someone else's tacos Mexican style first (topped with only onion/cilantro). I wish she would not have taken those away because the first bite of the onion/cilantro and steak combo was heavenly. My hubby's giant burrito had some flavor packed beans and rice as well. Had to take some of that home. Service: We were never asked if we wanted drinks we had to specifically mention it. She gave me someone else's tacos and my husband a burrito with green sauce. She took my taco mistake away and my husband was already eating the burrito with green sauce so she left it alone. Turns out it was the table next to us their order. Made things really awkward. Then we waited and waited to pay not knowing you need to pay up front. Even with all the service issues I will be back. This is some of the best Mexican food in Green Bay. I have been going here since they had the little shop across the parking lot. First time in I was a bit afraid, atmosphere was not representative of the food. Down and dirty Great food for very low cost. They moved to the new building 50 ft away, but bigger and "newer" but still the food is outstanding. Great food, low cost, friendly staff - need more? A little piece of Mexico in Titletown!! The staff are professional and friendly... total darlings. This is a very well run restaurant. I've enjoyed the menudo with all the trimmings (diced onion, lime, oregano) and handmade tortillas. Delicious and hearrrrrt-y, it so hit the spot on a cold snowy Sunday morning. I've also had the tacos al pastor with cilantro and diced onion. Perfectly marinated meat wrapped in the warmth of a handmade corn tortilla. Delish, you guys! The salsas are perfection, too. Full of flavor, not just heat. On another visit, I had the torta de asada (steak sandwich) and it was so good! The roll was buttered and toasted (yum) dressed with refried beans and filled with carne asada, lettuce, tomato, avocado, and cheese. It was so big I cut it in half bc I didn't think I'd finish it all in one sitting, but, guess what?! Yup, I ate both halves and I don't regret it. Maybe they just don't prefer my patronage. Nothing personal towards all of the mostly great reviews by others. However I've been visiting Taco Burrito Mexico, (Mostly just the Webster location) since the late 90's-early 2000's, and it is always hit or miss every other visit. It makes me wonder if diners in general, in Green Bay care at all what they are eating and paying for, even at these mostly low to medium prices. Because of my visit February 2018 on a Wednesday, ordering a chicken Fajita for the first time there and it being whole strips of neatly cut and tasty, juicy, grilled chicken breast, to being happy enough that I ordered it again on a Friday in April, but received a pile of dry chicken pieces similar to what they use in tacos, burritos, chimichangas and the like, I was livid. What?, on Friday we are busier so we make a bunch ahead, or we were busy and ran out of raw breast strips, so we are going to shovel the cheaper cut of chicken filling on this guys sizzler instead, without any professional pride or concern for what we are serving a diner in our Taqueria? I used to just go for a taco or two or a chimichanga and small side of fresh guacamole. Then I went for a #4 one day that includes a side of guacamole and that was usually the best deal, (depending on who was cooking and or, as in the above complaint), if they happened to care on a particular day when they decided to start serving flat, greasy and mostly empty chimichangas. Little by little over this past year I've been minimizing my order and purchase because of their hit or miss attitudes and neglect to polite, diligent customer service. While still having some hopes of a return to quality and consistency of years ago, A side of beans that comes with chips, and also a small side of guacamole, Yippee... while I wait I like their chips because they are warm and seldom stale, (now if they would just try lightly salting them as soon as lifting out of the hot oil), and while I am mostly a hot sauce person, (my own) but I like TBM's fresh mild salsa and salsa Verde also. The beans are basic in a small bowl, (like a cheap bean dip), all and all a filling snack on the cheap and my little craving for some Mex flavor at the time is satisfied. But then came today....I was really going to just order the bean snack, but they had their burrito special on the board for $8.50 versus usually higher priced on special, and higher yet in the menu. I did not want that much food, (comes with rice and beans on the side also), but what the heck, a couple years ago I liked it ok, (chicken with Green Sauce), Another mistake. Emily K has a post in this series dated 10/5/16, just below she has a photo, (and 3rd photo in the series on this site), that is an exact replica of what I ordered, so while they can be consistent, it is not always for the betterment of customer satisfaction. Observe closely the tortilla, how white and overly soft it looks. In Mexican cuisine tortillas are like our bread, whereas they need to be toasted first for most applications, (they do have some photos of proper toasted burritos without sauce), toasting brings flavor. However, the green sauce did not "wash away" the toasty-ness of the tortilla, instead it was not toasted before rolled with the chicken, dull, yellow, pre-shredded bagged Taco bell lettuce, bland store bought tomatoes, etc., then sauced, then strangely covered neatly with two slices of Munster cheese and nuked to oblivion. Observe closely in Emily's photo the orange outer edges of the "square looking" cheese slices, that is Munster, not their own Mex styled cheese they could easily make, or purchase, not crema, or even the shredded blend we are used to bubbling up nicely golden under a Cheese Melter, salamander or properly baked in a 400* oven. Instead the Munster Cheese was stringy chewy rubber, the sauce was thin herb speckled flavorless dish water-no longer smothered over the burrito but a puddle of swill on the plate. I was very hungry, first chance I got to eat at 6pm today, and sadly enough while I took my time chewing through what seemed barely edible enough, (T.V. dinner-not worth more than $4.00), the server not ever asking how things are, (sometimes I am so pissed I don't feel like saying anything anyway). My best description in my dining thoughts is that of a soggy diaper of a tortilla filled with dry overly shredded chicken pieces, chicken bone--thin enough to choke on, and cartilage pieces. And then when nearly finished,(rice and beans ok), it happened--the stink, the sour, the rotten! Yes I found myself chewing on some distinctive, sour rotten chicken. I looked up and away from my plate of foodborne illness, that I'm calling the health department about tomorrow, spit everything out possible into several napkins, while noticing a manager type smiling and hanging around behind the counter like a moron. I washed as much out with ice cold water, left enough cash plus tax to cover and left without a word. read more

I've been enjoying their chicken burrito (no beans) since 1996. It is the burrito standard that I've held against every Mexican restaurant that I've visited in the U.S. since that first burrito. Taco Burrito Mexico doesn't offer frills, but it does offer a lot of flavor. The decor and atmosphere (I can only refer to the two locations I've been to, the Webster and Velp locations) aren't worth mentioning, but are as clean and comfortable as a typical fast-food restaurant. The food and prices make me wonder why anyone would bother going to Taco Bell or Taco John's. I've only had a few of their menu items, but have found what I've had to be exceptional. I always get a chorizo burrito; the burritos are massive. If you like tacos, I must recommend the lengua tacos. The meat epitomizes the saying "melt in your mouth." Taco Burrito Mexico isn't a fancy dining experience, but the food is at fast-food prices with elevated quality. read more

I went to another location with some coworkers a few weeks ago. After trying that, I wanted to try the location that's closest to my apartment. This location is way better as it's bigger with better seating, the walls are brighter which feels more inviting and they play the local hispanic music station 96.9 La Mas Grande. The service was better as the staff didn't look like they were annoyed with you. The food was fantastic. I took a coworkers recommendation of the steak burrito. The burrito was huge, and the steak was perfect. I was able to finish the burrito, but it took a lot of self-discipline....and loosening up a belt notch. read more

Probably becoming my favorite cheap eats in Green Bay. I had a chimichanga, tostada, and taco for 6.75 with a side of guacamole. Everything was authentic, the staff was friendly, and it was served fast. My kids and husband loved their meals as well. All the meats are good, but I especially liked the chorizo and pork. Nothing short of satisfying. I hit this place up every time I come home to visit my family. As good as any great Mexican food to be found in Chicago, San Antonio or Los Angeles.
